When I go to Device Manager to enable, In Network adapter, it shows the driver with the yellow triangle and exclamation mark and is already enabled. I dont know if I am missing anything while installing the driver. Last week I called the Dell support center for the same and they told that they can fix it if they get a remote access. But I can only access the internet via Wifi which is not working.

I checked into a hotel and just cannot find the wifi network on this laptop..IT is a named network and yet all i see is an unnamed network on my list of networks found. My blackberry device can easily locate the network..but the laptop simply refuses. I have tried restarting, playing around with the advanced propoerties of the wifi adapter but all in vain. I've been having this problem for a few weeks, at first I thought it was the internet itself, but the other computers in the house are fine. A few times a day it just suddenly stops working and in the bottom right hand corner of the screen in the internet options section it says currently connected to : unidentified network. when I click connect again it says wireless adapter not found, "Wireless Network Connection"doesn't have a vailid IP configuration. Due to that, I've lost many drivers specially for wireless and network. I've downloaded many from here, but I'm still unable to find these 2. I get a "No compatible hardware found" error when I try to load the drivers for the wireless card on my laptop.
I had to reload windows 7, ultimate x64 on my laptop. I've been able to install all of the drivers with the exception of the wireless card.
I've tried to load the R258276 driver for the broadcom chip as specified in my download with the Dell driver utility and dell system detect. This worked previously with the same os. I've also installed and ran Dell Support Center, PC check and System Detect.
My order lists the following wireless card:
WHDPC 1 Card, Wireless, Half Mini-Card, DW1501, 4313
I have an unknown device and a Network Controller flagged in "Other devices" in Windows Device Manager. I've deleted these and reran hardware detect and they both show of again as not having drivers installed. Windows update nor windows driver update locates valid drivers. I searched the forums and found a few links to other sources of he R258276 drivers, but got the same error msg.

everything was fine until yesterday...started up laptop and noticed the network connection icon in my task bar hd the "red-x" through it...i knew something was up cuz i had ethernet hardline in to my machine. after I had inspected every possible home netwrok issue...i noticed it was more pc related.now i go to my device manager to check my network adapters..... there are NONE listed...i go to "View" to find that unhide all devices and note there are only wireless drivers in this device and NOT the typical "realtek-8111E" controller that SHOULD be listed.
So far...i have done these steps
1) ensured BIOS (my cmos is phoenix tianos build) lan settings are correct- done
2) Removed RAM from slots
3) Removed Cmos Battery
4) waited for 15 minutes.it is still not working ....a i even tried a clean install of win 7 and that doesnt work?

So, like any normal and quite capable PC user, I went to the Dell site and entered the Service Tag. So far so good. However, no driver to be found for my Wireless component. Believe me, I attempted to install ALL Communication and Network drivers available. The message I got in the wizard was always "Installation not possible. Please contact your administrator". I tried to phone, got stuck in a waiting line for 11 minutes 35 seconds, which I mentioned before ripped me off for €10 and then the line went dead. All mails have been so far left unanswered. Angry doesn't come close.

I already download and install Wirless Mobile Broadband Drivers, both of them (5620 and 5540 mini card) i realy dont understand how to determine which of them installed in my laptop.
i just reinstalled windows on my laptop and i figured i could just download drivers from the dell website. after following the installation order specified on the website.. installing first the NSS and then the chipset, etc.. I realized there wasn't a driver for the NIC on the website. i also noticed that the steps didn't include a step for ethernet drivers, so i replaced the NIC step with installing the broadcom integrated controller. unfortunately, after completing the rest of the installation steps, my Network Controller driver is still not installed (looking in the device manager), a hardwire connection through the ethernet cable gives me "limited or no connectivity" and there is no wireless capability whatsoever.

I have tried installing drivers but nothing. I can only connect via ethernet. I also tried removing the card and replacing it to ensure it was in correctly but still nothing. The set up menu on boot shows wireless card present and all enabled to factory defaults.
