Jun 11, 2011On receiving my new dell vostro 3550, I reinstalled the windows 7 cd that came with the computer.
Before I did, I had internet connection, now I don't.
It says it finds no device. All i did was install windows. What else do I need to do for it to recognise the devices are on the system?

Jul 19, 2012I purchased the Dell XPS13 yesterday and took it home. I turned on the wireless and had internet access for a few minutes. Then it stopped working and the network diagnostic msg was "DNS Server not responding". All my other electronic devices at home are still working.
I took it back to the original computer store to get a technician to fix it. The internet worked in the store. However, after I took the laptop back home it only worked for the first few minutes and stopped working again.I've tried disabling the firewall.

I have tried connecting on IE and Chrome as well, along with the 2nd computer on my wireless network. No luck there either though. I have been able to connect to any other website just fine. May 21, 2012I've been having this problem for a few weeks, at first I thought it was the internet itself, but the other computers in the house are fine. A few times a day it just suddenly stops working and in the bottom right hand corner of the screen in the internet options section it says currently connected to : unidentified network. when I click connect again it says wireless adapter not found, "Wireless Network Connection"doesn't have a vailid IP configuration. Feb 24, 2011I have 2 Windows 7 desktops that are both connected to seperate vonage boxes and those vonage boxes are connected to my D-Link DIR-655 router. That D-Link router is getting its connection from a Comcast router. I am looking to get one of the desktops to share a printer from the other one which has it hard wired via USB cable. When I first set this up I did not have the vonage boxes and the desktops were connected right into the router and everything worked fine. Now that the vonage boxes are in place it is a mess. I can get internet fine on both machines, but no file/printer sharing. I have followed all the steps to setup the correct workgroup and file and printer sharing options on both windows 7 machines but they cannot see each other at all. My feeling is that now that the vonage boxes are there that instead of the desktops looking at the D-Link router for its sharing option they are looking at the vonage boxes and that is why they cant be seen. Does this make sense? Is there a firewall on the vonage boxes stopping these two desktops from seeing each other? Do I have to change something on the D-Link router options for it to give access to the vonage boxes for these 2 machines to see each other for printer/file sharing?
