I just installed a PCI Wireless Lan Card. I selected my network, and the computer says I am connected, but when I attempt to go to facebook via firefox, or go to runescape via its application, the page comes up server not found

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have 10 Vostro 460s, the network cards are not being found on startup. You have to reboot the systems 3-4 times to get Windows to find the Network cards. All drivers are up to date. This may be related to a Windows update, since the machine were fine for a month or so until an Update came out.

I have tried connecting on IE and Chrome as well, along with the 2nd computer on my wireless network. No luck there either though. I have been able to connect to any other website just fine. Between the two PCs on my network, I'm running Windows 7 and Windows XP.The website in question is currently up and they have said that no issues have been detected on their end and that it might be a DNS problem on my end.

I support an OU in a large university domain. Myself and one other user are the only people experiencing this issue in an OU comprised of over 20 machines.
We have configured following commands on switch to fallback to local Vlan if both radius server (policy persona's) is found dead. For test purpose we shutdown both servers (policy persona's) but fallback didn't work. We have 3750 switch running image 12.2(55)SE6 having following configuration.We do not know whether we configured switch in proper way or do we need to modify it. [code]
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a client using a Dell Poweredge SC440 server. About a month ago the system crashedfter some detailed checking I found it had burned some caps. on the motherboard. I replaced the motherboard & had to reinstall SBS 2003. Since doing this I can't get the server network card to connect. The machine does have 2 NIC's one for the server & one for the internet, neither of which will connect. I believe I have the IP address of both cards incorrect. Could someone tell me what the correct IP addresses (all of them) should be for a new install of SBS 2003? I know the IP address of the router & the service provider (AT&T), but these don't work. I do have a printout of the server when it was originally setup but it only give the server IP which is 192.168.2.1 I have put this address in the IP of the card but don't know what goes in the default gateway nor the perfered DNS

But I can't do anything (ping, web, telnet, etc) with that IP address.So basically what is the point of the basic DRAC without buying the full DRAC card? Just a placeholder?

Basically my laptop was connected to the Internet fine and has been for as long as I can remember but today it just suddenly stopped working and when I clicked on 'View available networks' it gave me the message 'No wireless networks were found in range. Make sure the wireless switch on your computer is on. To see an updates list, click "Refresh network list."'. The strange thing is that I'm connected to the wireless network on my phone so it must be in range.I'm using a Samsung laptop (Not sure of the model) that is running on windows xp.It doesn't have wireless connectivity built in so I am connected to the wireless using an 802.11 USB Wireless LAN Card network adaptor that is made by Ralink Technology, which is working properly according to the device status.

I checked into a hotel and just cannot find the wifi network on this laptop..IT is a named network and yet all i see is an unnamed network on my list of networks found. My blackberry device can easily locate the network..but the laptop simply refuses. I have tried restarting, playing around with the advanced propoerties of the wifi adapter but all in vain. I can use the office wifi ont he same laptop without any issue..but not in my hotel.

What I have found is that if I leave the Timezone set to USA (Pacific) the WAP 321 can be rebooted without losing config, but as soon as I set the timezone to United Kingdom the next reboot will cause the device to take a long time to reboot and will have then gone back to factory default setings.
I have a Packard Bell Laptop using Windows XP OS and doesn't have Wireless Connection. So long ago i bought a Linksys by Cisco Wireless-G Notebook Adapter WPC54G v.1.2 but didn't have time to set it up or use it for travelling conditions. A couple years later when i came back to check on the laptop, i noticed that i lost the setup CD. So i went on the Linksys website and looked for the driver the download. On the back of the Adapter(card) it says it is version 1.2. But this version is unavailable on the Linksys Website. I could only find v.1, 2,3,3.1 and 7. v.1 gives a driver of v3.1 etc... AND NOT VICE-VERSA.So first when i inserted the card into the slot , the PC didnt detect it. It only detected it rarely if i insert another driver (eg: USB..). And so a window would pop up to install but i didnt know what to do there. When i downloaded the v.1 driver from the website and installed it, it seemed not the detect the card either, it would just say searching for wireless, but that's it. It would keep searching for hours even when im next to the router.finally, only the Power led light on the card is lit up but not the "Link" led.
