Can't Access Google Sites - Server Not Found

Everytime i try to go to a site that uses a google server, i get the message "The server at www.google.com can't be found, because the DNS lookup failed. DNS is the web service that translates a website's name to its Internet address. This error is most often caused by having no connection to the Internet or a misconfigured network. It can also be caused by an unresponsive DNS server or a firewall preventing Google Chrome from accessing the network."

MY ISP installed one router in my lab.for internet connectivity they mail me steps :connect your Laptop directly to gi0/3 port to check internet connectivity with public ip 1.1.1.x and Gateway 1.1.1.1 with subnet mask 255.255.255.240 after connection I surprised because I am able to access only google sites like gmail,google search etc. but I am able to ping/traceroute all sites.from browser I am able to access only google sites only.In Router no firewall no such access list.

My wireless internet at uni is showing up with two errors, when its connected it will come up saying that there is an ip address conflict then it will work for a short time then show this message when I try to load a webpage:The server at Google can't be found because the DNS look-up failed. I cannot access google sites or services in any browser, tried Chrome, IE and firefox.I'm running Windows XP SP3. I can ping Google without issue. My hosts file is clean and I checked in the registry to make sure that the hosts file is where it is supposed to be. I had trouble finding one that worked but I configured Chrome to use an external proxy and it seemed to work, abeit too slowly to really tell. I did manage to get a Nigerian google page up though.I've flushed the DNS and switched to the free google DNS.Looking around I've seen similar issues with people using Linksys routers. I am not using a Linksys router. I am currently using my android phone as a hotspot.I am running a Windows 7 laptop on the same network with no issues and booting the same host into Vista also works fine.

I'm using my iPhone to write this, because any other site that's not google just ends up as a blank white screen!Internet connection is 5 bars, and I tried cable and changing DSN servers.

File server is Dell PowerEdge 1900 running 64bit Win 2008 standard server w/o hyper-v, SP2 and 64bit Symantec Enterprise Protection v.11.0.630
I support an OU in a large university domain. Myself and one other user are the only people experiencing this issue in an OU comprised of over 20 machines.

My computer's virus protection expired so I Googled a free one and downloaded it without doing much research on it. It contained a virus and now it's disrupting my computer. I ran Microsoft essentials security and found malware and it removed all threats. The virus is disrupting my connection to the Google server. I cannot use google web, images, or mail but I can maps. My computer won't connect to any of Google's servers. ANY of them. Gmail, docs, reader, nothin. I can visit youtube, but I cannot get to the log-in page. EVERY other site works pretty well. Heck, even using a site that uses a Recaptcha it doesn't load the recaptcha!Nothing wrong with my hosts file.
Tracert results in 6 successful hops and then times out (I think at my ISP?)
the last 2 successful hops are
chnddsrj01-ae2.0.rd.ph.cox.net
And then
langbprj02-ae2.rd.la.cox.net
Then all time outs
My other PC is connected to the SAME wifi network right now, and I'm posting from it, and it works fine. Both are on XP. Reboots haven't worked. Happens on all browsers. Every other website I can find is just fine.

I've been trying to connect to a particular website for a couple of days now, but always get "Server not found" error messages in Firefox. I have tried connecting on IE and Chrome as well, along with the 2nd computer on my wireless network. No luck there either though. I have been able to connect to any other website just fine. Between the two PCs on my network, I'm running Windows 7 and Windows XP.The website in question is currently up and they have said that no issues have been detected on their end and that it might be a DNS problem on my end.

I having problems to conect to the internet after i install my graphics card.. is a asus radeon hd 5670 512mb all the services are on and the dsl cable is conected properly after that a buy a usb network adapter of 300mbps.i install it detects the modems i enter the securyty key properly 3 minutes later of scanning says that failed to conect t wire456 [name of the modem] the computer uses windows xp service pack 3 when i try it on my windows7 ultimate pc it works all ok i remember that later when i install the video card i uninstall some programs maybe i uninstalll some of the drivers but i dont now wich drivers.

I have a WRT54G that has worked fine for years, with some PCs hooked up with Ethernet and various other devices connected wirelessly. I came home this afternoon and nothing going through the router could connect to the internet. I've made no changes to anything recently.
I did troubleshooting with Comcast, and we determined that when their modem was hooked up directly to my computer then that computer could connect to the net. Problem solved as far as they are concerned--my router is busted. But I can still connect to the router, and enter its admin screen, and everything looks fine there. The computers on the router can all see each other. So the router is working.
Once I hooked it back up to the modem my computers all lost their internet, but the router does get an IP successfully from Comcast. And it even assigns IPs to my computers that are hooked up to it. It's just that for some reason they still cannot get past the router.I used the ping function in the router admin site and the router pinged Google no problem. My PCs can ping the router without difficulty. But the computers cannot ping Google.
I've tried every combination of power cycles and reboots you can name. I've tried duplicating the MAC address of the PC that connected to the internet onto my router. None of it has made any difference.

Lately I have been experiencing an annoying issue with my connection. My signal strength is excellent, but every 5-10 minutes I have the problem that the DNS server can't be resolved, so I can't visit any websites. All I can do is wait, the problem disappears after a few minutes. I tried ipconfig /flushdns but that didn't work.

recently I had some malware on my Windows XP Professional (version 2002), so I followed a guide at Bleeping Computer [URL] to get rid of it. I have several VPN sites terminating on a 5510 firewall. all work fine but i cant get the traffic from the VPN sites to communicate with a server on a dmz on the same firewall.
a packet trace from the outside to the dmz shows this:Type: VPNSubtype: encryptResult: DROP
ive configured access to the dmz the same as to the servers on the inside. I can get to the inside servers ok.

We have configured following commands on switch to fallback to local Vlan if both radius server (policy persona's) is found dead. For test purpose we shutdown both servers (policy persona's) but fallback didn't work. I am going to hook my laptop directly up to my wireless router via ethernet. I will be showing them security, SSID, etc. My issue is when I put in my WAN and LAN settings. What exactly is the difference between a WAN address and a LAN address.I kept my Lan address that same as the router. 198.162.1.1.I create WAN addresses as 198.162.128.45 with subnet mask as 255.255.255.000 abut not sure what to put in for my gateway. Logic say 198.162.128. 1; however that doesn't work.I then configured my tcp/ip to reflect this. Although I can always access my router website, I cannot access any other web sites.

So I had trouble connecting to some sites before like apple and such right? No big deal, just one site. Probably down. Then more and more.I got worried, then figured it was my ISP and went to neighbor to check. No. It wasn't. I ran home and checked my router, googled it before all my internet went down. I read something about UPNP being enabled and so after my internet was down, I went and checked, it was, disabled it.

Our office is running a DELL Poweredge server2 xeon processors16 GB memory5 RaiddrivesVM WARE with 3 virtual machinesOne of the VM's handles our DNS with is our main server second is an exchange server third is a sequal applicaioas of recent we have notice a few website sites we cant access (municipalities of which we access tax info) we need to visit on a regular basis. and it only seem to be just the 3 or 4 that are closest to us. I cannot access http sites unless I manually write the prefix https. The issue is mainly on Wordpress blog pages and I have to keep writing https if I want to access other blogger's page.For the time being I am using Chrome's extension "Https Enforcer" which slows down my browsing speed but eventually the sites open. I have to disable it if I have to use google images. I use windows 7, Chrome browser, Pocket Modem.

when my Linux VM is running!How's this for a mystery - last night I noticed that I could no longer access my gmail. Thought it might be down. This morning, I still couldn't access it. Thought I would try comcast, no joy either. Changed computers, no difference. Changed routers, no difference. Bought a new router and started plugging in network cables one at a time. My main machine first, everything works - http and https sites, a second computer, all good. The switch. Fine. Powerline. Still good. Then I plug in a Windows server running a Linux VM. Https sites on all the other machines stop working. Pause the Linux VM, restart router - https sites return to life. Went to Linux machine, re-enabled ipv6 (the only recent change on the Linux machine was to disable ipv6 since upon a reboot, Linux didn't have an ipv4 address). Restart Linux everything seems fine. A few hours go by, try to connect my wife's new laptop and at that moment wireless seems to stop. Restart router, wireless is back. But lo and behold, https is gone again. Unplug the machine that has the Linux VM, restart router, all is good.Ever see anything this weird?

Our secondary site accesses the internal intranet via a link, which is basically:
[URL] where externalip is the IP address of my router.
* This used to work fine before we migrated from ADSL (6mb up / 0.5mb down) to Fibre(70mb / 20mb) *
Internally, I access the same link, but via [URL] Internally it loads in 2 seconds, externally it is taking 68seconds(ish)..
I can't work it out, the fibre shouldave made things loads quicker but is infact very slow. I'm wondering if something network wise is going on.
The intranet is a php intranet sitting on apache, and using postgresql as the database. Other pages load fine, this specific index.php page does quite a lot of DB connections and so on, but as I say before, it worked fine before the migration.

My bsnl wimax connection has stopped working on my laptop...IT WORKS ON MY FREINDS' LAPTOP. On my laptop (windows 7), in the taskbar, it shows connected and everything seems fine but i cant access any sites or download anything? Does this have to do with a bluetooth device i installed a few days back or some other issue.
