View 5 Replies View RelatedI have 10 Vostro 460s, the network cards are not being found on startup. You have to reboot the systems 3-4 times to get Windows to find the Network cards. All drivers are up to date. This may be related to a Windows update, since the machine were fine for a month or so until an Update came out.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Packard Bell Laptop using Windows XP OS and doesn't have Wireless Connection. So long ago i bought a Linksys by Cisco Wireless-G Notebook Adapter WPC54G v.1.2 but didn't have time to set it up or use it for travelling conditions. A couple years later when i came back to check on the laptop, i noticed that i lost the setup CD. So i went on the Linksys website and looked for the driver the download. On the back of the Adapter(card) it says it is version 1.2. But this version is unavailable on the Linksys Website. I could only find v.1, 2,3,3.1 and 7. v.1 gives a driver of v3.1 etc... AND NOT VICE-VERSA.So first when i inserted the card into the slot , the PC didnt detect it. It only detected it rarely if i insert another driver (eg: USB..). And so a window would pop up to install but i didnt know what to do there. When i downloaded the v.1 driver from the website and installed it, it seemed not the detect the card either, it would just say searching for wireless, but that's it. It would keep searching for hours even when im next to the router.finally, only the Power led light on the card is lit up but not the "Link" led.

** Unable to read "linux.bak.img" from ide 0:2 **
And it is taking me to the BootMenu. I selected option 4 to Clear Configuration and the controller seems to restart the system but I still get the same error. I checked the LEDs status and Sys is Amber and Alarm is OFF which according to the documentation is a System Crash.

Basically my laptop was connected to the Internet fine and has been for as long as I can remember but today it just suddenly stopped working and when I clicked on 'View available networks' it gave me the message 'No wireless networks were found in range. Make sure the wireless switch on your computer is on. To see an updates list, click "Refresh network list."'. The strange thing is that I'm connected to the wireless network on my phone so it must be in range.I'm using a Samsung laptop (Not sure of the model) that is running on windows xp.It doesn't have wireless connectivity built in so I am connected to the wireless using an 802.11 USB Wireless LAN Card network adaptor that is made by Ralink Technology, which is working properly according to the device status.
View 4 Replies View Relatedi have a laptop running Vista which will connect to wireless network, but will not connect to internet. I have tried connecting direct to router and also deleting wireless connection & reinstalling with no luck. I can however use a mobile broadband usb dongle and connect to the internet with no problem - appears to be a problem with connecting via something other than mobile broadband?

My roommate has no problem connecting to the Wireless Network so I don't think its a problem with the router/modem. Also, I am unable to detect ANY networks (neighbors etc.).I have installed most recent driver (Driver 5.60.350.6)

A few times a day it just suddenly stops working and in the bottom right hand corner of the screen in the internet options section it says currently connected to : unidentified network. when I click connect again it says wireless adapter not found, "Wireless Network Connection"doesn't have a vailid IP configuration. What I have found is that if I leave the Timezone set to USA (Pacific) the WAP 321 can be rebooted without losing config, but as soon as I set the timezone to United Kingdom the next reboot will cause the device to take a long time to reboot and will have then gone back to factory default setings.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a wifi dongle with signal enhancement on my desk top computer. I get a message that I am connected with a signal strength of 67%. However, I cannot get any website to open. The router is working for 3 other computers further away than mine. It was working but just stopped a couple of days ago. I am about 25ft away in a straight line.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using two desktops. One is an old Windows XP running SP3, and the other is a new Windows 7. Neither PC is wireless. I set up the modem through the Windows 7 computer, and it is connected to the wireless modem through the Ethernet cable. (I hope that I am saying all of this correctly.) It's running just fine.Because the other PC is not wireless, I purchased a NETGEAR wireless USB adapter, go through installation and setup, starts and finds my SSID, add WEP key, etc, etc. In the bottom corner of the software it says the signal is good. In the toolbar it says the adapter is connected to the modem.Next to it, though, the network connections icon shows:
Wireless Network Connection
Speed: 24Mbps
Signal Strength: Good
Status: Limited or no connectivity
And so, of course, I have no connection to the Internet. Using the modem through Ethernet on the XP computer (switching the situation around, in other words) is not an option; the only phone line for connecting the modem to the wall is too far away.(It was stated more than once that I should use WPA instead of WEP; I haven't made it that far yet... I'm just trying to get this other computer connected.)
I have been having this issue for the past one week where though i am able to connect to the internet through the wired lan without any problem when i connect it to my buffalo wzr - hp - ag300h router it disconnects within 5 minutes and on trying to check the internet connection DHCP server not detected error is shown. I have another edimax router and i tried to setup wireless with that router and have the same problem of disconnection after 5 minutes. [code]

However, we recently got BT put in and I cannot find the wireless router [BT HomeHub 2.0].Now, at first I thought maybe the wireless detection on the router was faulty, but I checked my 360's wireless connection and that has connected with no problems.
View 13 Replies View RelatedI just bought a Sony Vaio SVS15 and all I've done is set up the OS (Win7 Pro 64bit) and thus far, have not been able to connect to the internet wirelessly. I can use the internet if I plug in the ethernet cable but it does not detect any available networks using wireless even though I can connect wirelessly using other devices. I have updated the laptop using Windows Update and downloaded the latest driver for the wireless adapter (Intel Centrino Advanced N-6235) and still have had no success. Also, I have not yet installed any kind of Anti-Virus Software.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a WPC54G version 4 wireless-G notebook adapter. I cannot find anywhere even here the driver for this device? I read the forums and have been googling all morning and I found one topic that said that version 3 (Vista compatible) WPC54G_V31_driver_4.100.15.5_vista.exe..will work with ver 4. I have tried it and my adapter will still not see the files in the extracted folder. There's 5 files in the folder and when I do the hardware/update driver method it won't see the drivers. I have tried all the other version and none will load??
How can I get this driver to work with my Windows XP? I don't have the CD anymore.
we took one of our controllers and turned LAG on and since then it is unreachable on the WCS. The controller is running version 7.0.116.0 and the WCS is running 7.0.172.0. I can access teh WLC no problem through web interface and CLI, as I can also do this with the WCS as well, but the WCS cannot access the WLC.From CLI i can ping the WCS from the Controller and get a response, but from CLI on the WCS, I cannot ping the controller.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a series of problems I think are due to my 310N. First, with Facebook, I will suddenly be redirected to a248.e.akamai.net., which Chrome flags as an SSL error. Second, with (and only with) NYTimes.com, I will get "file not found" (and no numerical error) when trying to retrieve an article (via Chrome). AND, again only with NYTimes.com, I will get high-bit ascii characters in headlines. For other sites, I will get "invalid url" messages on web pages. If I unplug the modem and let it rest for 30 seconds, that seems to solve the problem. I have to do this at least once a day.
More than once a day. I don't think it's a 310N problem; but I've asked about this on other forums and got no useful reply. Previously I had similar problems with my 160 router. So, it's not the router. HOWEVER, shutting it off works with lot of the problems. Right now, after shutting off the router and turning it back on, now Facebook just doesn't come up at all. No error, just don't come up. I can ping it.
I changed the OS of my new 1121 from ubuntu to windows by formatting.
Now I am unable to find the driver and unable to acctivate wireless.
The dell driver page shows most of the intel drivers though.
Also I tried installing "
DELL_WIRELESS-5620-EVDO-HSPA_A08_R257880.exe (28MB)" , but no success so far.
I recently restored my Dell Inspirion 1545 with the restore disc from Dell. Since restoring I have no internet connection. When you click device manager it says no netword hardware found.
