I can't find the latest driver for the Renesas USB 3.0 in the Dell website. I have a Targus USB 3.0 Hub that stopped working and I am told I need to update the Host Controller driver. The driver version I have now is 2.1.27.0 dated 9/13/2011.

I searched every CD that came with the darn thing and I still cant find the driver I need... After a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate (service pack 1) I've visited the Dell Product Support section, entered in my service tag and downloaded all the recommended drivers & applications. Everything works fine on the laptop right now except for one major issue: I can't connect to the internet.The wireless switch is ON, but there's no sign of any wireless networks in the Network and Sharing center or in the system tray icon next to the clock.This is what I see in the device manager:When I double click the Network controller the device status reads:The drivers for this device are not installed. View 4 Replies View RelatedI installed a fresh Windows XP Pro on my Optiplex gx270 last week. Everything was fine but now I cannot get an internet connection. I followed all the steps on the dell support web site for the windows reinstall, putting all the drivers on in the correct order, all from my original resource CD. Then downloaded the new recommended driver for my service tag from the dell site, and still no ethernet controller driver is found (a yellow question mark with an exclamation mark on top in windows device manager). Tried a couple of times with the dell online chat, but was disconnected right away. Then spent another 1+ hour on the phone with dell tech support this morning. After uninstalling and reinstalling the same drivers I had previously installed, they apparently had no other suggestions and disconnected me. So I'm left with what was a pretty decent machine that is incapable of connecting to the internet.

The Broadcom 440x 10/100 Integrated Controller driver (I've tried both the download and CD) works fine for the Card itself, but it doesn't work for the Network Controller. When I first restart after running the installation program included with the driver, XP tells me that a new Network Controller device has been found. As I go through the driver installation for that device it fails, and I receive a message telling me that the Hardware Update Wizard "Cannot Install this Hardware...The hardware was not installed because the wizard cannot find the necessary software." The device then appears in the Device Manager under the Other Devices section with a yellow question mark and exclamation point indicating trouble.

There doesn't seem to be a driver on the PC for it, although this may be dowon to the PC having a slight "accident" a few months ago which meant we had to reinstall XP. I don't have the utiliites disc, this wasn't a problem previously as we were able to connect our PC up via USB to the modem.
I have an old PC currently connected to the Internet trying to download the drivers from Dell's support section & tranferring these but this isn't working either.

I have downloaded what I think are the approprite files but get the message that the unzipped file is part of a series of disks and I need to insert the last of this series of disks. I also installed a new wireless card which still did not solve my problem. As I said, this is a Dell Inspiron N5030. Operating system is Windows 7 32-bit The network adapter is an Atheros AR8152 PCI-E Fast Ethernet Controller.In the Device Manager the Network Controller is listed under "Other Devices" The new wireless card installed is listed as a DNXA-95-D1. That is really the only information I can give you about this card.
Side note: I can get on the internet if I hard wire in, just can't access internet wirelessly.

After installing the appropriate drivers I still had no detection on my w lan adapter so I checked out the device list, and it says I'm missing drivers for two things: one is the network controller, the other is just listed as an unknown device.
I already installed every driver for the appropriate devices on the laptop, in the correct order, or as i could best manage it, but still no dice. The only network driver on the disk for my inspiron is one for an Ethernet controller.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy wi-fi has always been a little spotty, but today it finally just completely stopped working.
I have an XPS L502x running Windows 7 and a Verizon FiOS connection (Actiontec modem/router). My work laptop (running XP), phone (Android), desktop (Win 8), and my girlfriend's Mac connect to this network fine. But the Dell has consistently had trouble over the year that I've owned it. In the past, I've been able to force it to connect by manually resetting the wi fi, but that didn't work today.
The wi fi will intermittently find the network, fail to connect to the internet, then lose connectivity to the network itself. Windows troubleshooting says I should reset the router (despite all of the other successful connections). This works for a second, but the Dell loses connectivity again (note: I''ve seen that this is associated with McAffee in other questions, but I'm not running McAffee). When I tried running the Intel troubleshooter, it passed all tests but the last one, saying it "Failed to Ping".
Another weird thing (not sure if it's related) is that my computer displays four different Network Adapters in Device Manager. One is the Intel Wireless-N 1000, but there are also two Windows adapters and what looks like a generic PCI driver. If you disable any one of them, you get the Intel "wireless adapter disabled" message. If you uninstall the Windows adapters, both reinstall when you try to connect to the network.
I have a 1 1/2 year old Dell XPS 15 L502x laptop.I have noticed that it has started having network connection issues with the wifi. It connects to all wifi properly but seems to be having issues with the home router recently. Around November 2012 it started. However I fixed the issue then by re-installing the driver.
This time reinstalling the driver did not solve the problem .. I have tried using the driver from intel's website as suggested by a previous forum post on a similar issue. I have alos tried the power settings suggestions by intel and none of these have solved the problem.
