I have had my new computer up and running for 2 days amd have installed 2 games but i couldnt connect to the internet because my driver installation cd says "D: is not a valid win32 application" when i try to run it and i dont know what to do i have tried resetting cd to defaults, installing manually by going in to cd files and have tried running in safe mode but nothing works .i have windows 7 home premium 64 bit OS

But..then it just hangs there,and eventually leads to-driver was not sucessfully installed(that is when i plug it out,but i waited more than an hour before that)I tried uninstaling and updating the driver for it,but it didnt worked.When i tried to uninstal the driver,again it just hanged.That is untill i unpluged the adapter..I have manually downloaded the latest driver,and when i check in properties it says that device is working properly.

Dell Wireless 1395 WLAN MiniCard
Dell (R) Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN
When I try to install the first one I got the failure message "BASS_REL_5_6 456".I am able to install the second one, but I still got the message, that the WIFI-/LAN-Hardware is uninstalled. Therefore I still can't access to the internet with this computer.
I don't know how to install this driver - I didn't see a .exe file or a "setup" icon

My operating system is Windows Me and every program on the CD accompanying my new adapter tells me "This version of Windows won't work" or words to that effect. My machine realizes something is there--indeed it knows there is a Linksys wireless adapter and even tells me it was manufactured by Cisco Co.--but it says NDIS cannot load the driver. Do I need a different driver?

I have a Inspiron M5110 Laptop and was having some trouble staying connected to my internet so this morning I decided I would try and update the drivers. I have uninstalled the Wireless and Blue Tooth drivers and reinstalled them, but now, it won't even TRY to connect at all. In the bottom right corner, there's a red x over the wireless bars, and says No Connections are available. Before , it would have a spinning circle while trying to connect, but it doesnt have that at all anymore. My Ethernet connection is working fine, I even uninstalled and reinstalled that driver (REALTEK) and its working with no problems.
If I run IPCONFIG, the wireless adapter doesn't even show up anymore. I've tried resetting, disabling, anything I could think of. I tried several versions too of the drivers, but nothing is working. Right now, I removed it, so I have a yellow exclamation mark next to Network Controller in my Device Settings. My hardware ID for the adapter is PCIVEN_168C&DEV_002B&SUBSYS_02051028
I think from the above info, I believe the wireless adapter belongs to Atheros.how I can get this thing to even attempt to connect to a network? I'm dead in the water...
Installed windows server 2008 and enabled wireless in the server manager but when I try to install any drivers for the wifi I get the error message "must install in windows 98 (SE), windows me, windows 2000, windows xp, win 2003, vista!"server 2008 uses vista drivers?

I'm running Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate and I'm using the Vista 64-bit (since those are the only ones available on the site that match). I install the drivers, reset, the network icon shows up in the bottom righthand corner with an X over it. When I click troubleshoot, it tells me that a network adapter needs to be installed. I check the device manager and there's no network adapter there.

Upon restarting, I found out that I cannot connect to the Internet using a wired connection (Ethernet cable). I tried going in the Device manager to try and troubleshoot the Network Adapters, but the only object in that category was "Intel (R) WiFi Link 5300 AGN". In a lower category, "Other Devices", I see two "Base System Device", one "Unknown Device" and one "Ethernet Controller", all of them with little yellow exclamation marks on the icon. I guessed the problem was the Ethernet Controller, so I tried "Update Driver...". It told me that it could not find a driver for my device.

I selected the drivers that had the check beside them on the driver disk.
