Cisco WAN :: 1921 ISR - IMEI Number For Cellular 3G Router Card
Feb 29, 2012I am working at a client site today. This specific client has decided to replace their legacy 2600 branch office routers with newer 1921 ISR G2 routers as they move from a Legacy Frame WAN to a MPLS network with a different provider.
The backup in the former scenario was actually an ISDN solution. Moving forward, the provider has sold them a 3G backup solution. To support this, we have purchased Cisco line cards for the 3G. The part number for the cards is "EHWIC-3G-EVDO-V=".
I was asked by the client this morning if there was a way to tell what the IMEI number for the 3G card was. I performed a shew inventory, as well as a shew hardware, but I do not see this IMEI number. I also checked the label on the packaging box that the cards came in, but do not see this number. Is there a way to tell what this number is for each card?

Kindly share your insgihtson why I only get 6.5 Mbps using my WUSB600N compared to 18.0Mbps using my builtin 802.11 g network adapter in my laptop? Too bad I can't use 5GHz as Nokia mobile phones that use our wireless connecion are only G capable. Even iPhone 4 cant fully use 5Ghz in 802.11n.

Out APN provider sends us Username & Password attributes which I can authenticate fine using ACS 5.2 but I'm having a problem using other attributes sent in the Access-Request. We have mobile SIM cards with an MSISDN value match with a physical device with an IMEI value. The SIM cards cannot be used in other devices, only their matched device. The provider passes us the MSISDN attribute under RADIUS-IETF 31 and the IMEI under a VSA of 3GPP-IMEI
What is the best way of being able to authenticate a user and match the MSISDN and IMEI associated to that user?

Mar 26, 2011I have some tunnels which terminate to my home router. I'm allowing the other ends of the tunnels to use my voice setup. I need to prepend *67 to all called numbers which don't originate from my house. I don't want people calling my home number based on the caller-id number they see when someone across one of the tunnels calls.
So if 5008 calls 212-333-4444 I want it sent to my provider as *672123334444. If 5001 calls a number, I don't want it touched. Can I do this? I can use IOS or CUCM here.

The software (Dell Mobile Broadband Utility Help) says " Choose Network Selection from the Settings Menu. Select AT&T and click Load." Unfortunately, Network selection is not an option.
How do I do it? This modem is compatible with Verizon, AT&T and Sprint networks.
