The prompt I get when trying to connect to the WAP is that the number should be in the original documentation. I can not find the original documentation and I cannot log into the WAP to find the PIN number.

View 8 Replies View RelatedIn January 2012 I bought a Linksys E4200v2. I am trying to download a firmware version upgrade and it wants to know what hardware version I have. The top of my router (where the model number is displayed), only has E4200. I have looked through my receipts, the box it came in, and anything else I can find to do with the router - they all have the E4200v2. In case the 'v2' portion is for the hardware version, I do not want to download the wrong firmware version and end up with a router that doesn't work
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm developing a project where I use the SNMP protocol to discover the network. By discovering the network I mean go through all the routers and switches and retrieve the IP routing table from routers and the forwarding table from switches. With the routers I have no problem. For the switches I need to know for each port the MAC addresses and the Vlans. Basically it's use SNMP to find a port number from a MAC address. To do that i followed this tutorial: [URL]
The problem is that I'm using a Cisco 3725 Router with IOS 12.4 (21) and a NM-16ESW module to work as a Switch and when I use the OID .1.3.6.1.2.1.17 corresponding to the BRIDGE-MIB as it follows:
snmpwalk -v2c -c myrouter 10.1.1.5 .1.3.6.1.2.1.17
it returns:
SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.17.1.1.0 = Hex-STRING: 00 00 00 00 00 00
SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.17.1.2.0 = INTEGER: 0
SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.17.1.3.0 = INTEGER: 4
From this I guess there's no information on the router about Vlans or anything. Other thing is that when I use community string indexing it returns a timeout. My theory is that this version doesn't support indexing but I don't know.
how can I get the Port Number from a MAC address from this "switch" (it's a router working as a switch) using SNMP?
I have some tunnels which terminate to my home router. I'm allowing the other ends of the tunnels to use my voice setup. I need to prepend *67 to all called numbers which don't originate from my house. I don't want people calling my home number based on the caller-id number they see when someone across one of the tunnels calls.
So if 5008 calls 212-333-4444 I want it sent to my provider as *672123334444. If 5001 calls a number, I don't want it touched. Can I do this? I can use IOS or CUCM here.
I need to change providers from Verizon to AT&T. This modem came with the AT&T Sim card installed in my notebook. The software (Dell Mobile Broadband Utility Help) says " Choose Network Selection from the Settings Menu. Select AT&T and click Load." Unfortunately, Network selection is not an option.
How do I do it? This modem is compatible with Verizon, AT&T and Sprint networks.

View 1 Replies View RelatedCurrently I am hosting a 7 day mountain retreat, for about 90+ people. Clearly they are dependent on the internet teet as am I I am trying very hard to provide internet to our friends, but I just can't seem to figure it out I have a Mobile Broadband Router (MBBR) which limits connected devices to 6, so I figured that if connect a home router with wifi (WIFI) that allows 253 connections problem solved right? So I put a short LAN cable from the LAN port on the MBBR to the WAN port on the WIFI and presto! The WIFI gets a IP address, but does not allow other users of the WIFI to get internet. I've even killed all security on the WIFI and put the WIFIs IP in the DMZ on the MBBR. I noticed the DNS was the same as the gateway on the WIFI, so I changed that to the DNS on the MBBR still nothing.
PS Yes I have a connection on the MBBR I am on it now.Connecting the LAN cable from the MBBRs LAN to the WIFIs LAN extends the range, and grants internet to the WIFI users... but uses the MBBRs DHCP to give IP addresses, which limits to 6.I guess the goal here is bypass the limitation of the MBBR by using the WIFIs DHCP to issue IPs?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just installed my new DCS-2121 and enabled upnp to be able to watch the feed from my mobile.While being on vacation I noticed that the feed redirected to some strange Russian site,[URL]Back home now, I noticed that the /m/m/index.html file contains an iframe at the bottom, that redirects there. So someone (not me) has been able to alter the index on the wap site and add that at the end some way or the other.While Googling I found only one reference on a French forum, and other than the lack of newer firmware for the camera no direct reactions to this.I tried with a simple PUT to put the original file back, without the iframe at the bottom, but there I get a 403.
- When can we expect new firmware to fix this HUGE security problem?
- How to restore the original (and yes, I tried a factory reset, but that doesn't restore the html files it seems)
- How did they manage?
It seems from the config db that it's an OEM'ed alphanetworks.com camera with a lot more options that d-link put in there. Any input from them maybe, it seems they are writing the firmware?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have "ESPRIMO Mobile V6555" Laptop, running Windows XP SP3, with which the wireless network adapter worked fine before. Now, after I bought a new router (TBLink) my laptop cannot access internet through this router wirless netowrk, and cannot even make ping command to the router address.I tried many things to work around this problem: reinstall the driver of Wireless adapter, change the connection setting on both router and computer, cleaning ARP Cash ...etc.
1) the router works fine for other wireless devices like my HTC widows mobile phone and other laptop running Windows 7.
2) When I assign a static IP for my laptop it can connect to the network but still could not make the ping command to the router or reach any network resources.
3) I have Bitdefender Internet Security running and up to date.
