HP Pavilion Dv9910us / Can No Longer Connect To Wireless Network

I have a HP Pavilion dv9910us i just got a new router and all my devices connect to my wireless network using the new security key except the indicated HP. I called my provider and they said its my laptop.

I have a HP Pavilion dv9930us laptop. I recently upgraded to Win 7 Ultimate from Visata Home Premium 64-bit. Everything worked fine until I decided that I didn't want WinAmp that I previously installed. I uninstalled WinAmp. However, when I rebooted the latop, it went into an infinte loop after startup (that is, it would load all the applicatons, but whenever it connected to the internet, it would go into an infinite loop). I also uninstalled HP Quick Launch Buttons. I thought the laptop was going into an infinite loop because it was looking for these programs since they may not have been properly uninstalled. I went ahead an reinstalled these programs but after 30 seconds after startup, when trying to connect to the wirless network, it would freeze (that is only the mouse would work but everything else on the desktop was unresponsive). I edited msconfig several times, at one point, went through each program to see which ones were responsible for the laptop freeze. I found two programs, the SSDP Discovery and the CNG Isolation Key that were causing the laptop to freeze up after startup. I later found out that these two programs, especially the CNG Isolation Key were important to connect wirelessly. The virus program I have is Kaspersky and I already ran a malwarebytes scan through safe mode. At this point, all applications work fine except that I cannot connect to the wireless network. I ran the troubleshoot for the wirless network and reinstalled the drivers but it still cannot detect any wireless networks. Is there anything I can do without reinstalling Win 7 or updating the BIOS? The radio button or the wireless adapter is blue telling me that its working ok. When I checked it through device manager, it says that the device is working properly. connect to my wireless network? (There is no problem with the wireless network through the wireless router since I can connect with no issues on another laptop).
My roommate has a HP pavilion that she has been trying to connect to our internet, and while it seems to be connecting to the network, it wont connect to the internet.Its running Vista, and I tried all the repairs that it prompted me to try, but could not resolve the issue.I know it isn't a internet problem, because the desktop is hardwired and we have two xbox's that connect wireless with no problems.Im not sure what info I should have included in this thread, but its my first post and wasn't sure what I needed to put.
My laptop all of a sudden can't connect to my wireless internet connection and also seem unable to find any other wireless network but mine.I recently moved to a new flat, but brought my old modem/router with me (Scientific Atlanta 2434) and use the same ISP. Last week everything worked as a charm, but at the new location my laptop won't connect to my network, though I can connect to it through my mobile phone. My laptop only seem to find my own network ("Fidel") but with my mobile I can pick up 10-15 different networks from my flat. Connecting my laptop to the modem with a cable works all good. I tried to remove "Fidel" from my networks and added it again, typing wrong password gives a message saying "wrong network key" so my laptop and the modem seem to shake hands at least. Yesterday when trying I actually got connected, but the connection died after a few minutes and I wasn't able to connect again.Windows device manager display no errors nor conflicts around the ethernet controller or network adapter. Have tried to update the drivers through the device manager as well but it says they are up to date.Windows version is Windows 7 Home Premium.Don't know if my ISP uploaded new firmware to my modem when I connected it in my new flat, but on the other hand I can't see why this would affect my laptop's ability to pick up other networks in my house? we were having problems with our netgear router (DGN1000) mainly with connection when online gaming with PS3, generally poor connection - so purchased a TP-Link router (TD-W8960N). We could usually access the netgear wirelessly on our laptops Dell and Acer Aspire 4820T (both Windows 7) without any problems and were still doing so last night. However hubby attempted to install the new router last night and all seemed to go fine but after installing we couldn't connect to the wireless network through laptops, iphone ps3 etc - even though we could see the network with excellent strength, after hours of trying called TP-Link they went through everything they could think of and still no joy. Gave up in the end and went to reinstall the netgear Router and now we have the same problem with this router, even though earlier in the night it wasn't a problem - we deleted the previous networks so there was nothing stored in memory & tried everything we can think of (although neither of us are brilliant with IT we do usually get by).We even set up an unsecured wireless network (on both routers) and still couldn't connect .
For over a month now my laptop has been unable to connect to the internet via a wireless connection. It will connect to the network, but that's as far as it goes. Resetting the router does nothing, and the same can be said for resetting the network wireless adapter. However connecting via the LAN cable to the Router will allow me to connect to the internet and use it normally.I've even tried deleting the wireless information for my network off the computer and re-inputting it but that didn't solve the problem either.I have an HP Pavilion g7 notebook PC that is running Windows 7. I got in it June 2012 brand new and have had nothing but problems with the wireless. It worked fantastic for the first few months and then this happened for the first time. I managed to fix it by myself that time, but I don't remember exactly what I did. It worked alright for the next few months but it was kind of spotty and temperamental. And now it's not working at all. I've tried everything I can think of to fix the problem but nothing has worked so far. According to the HP support Assistant my wireless adapter is called "Intel(R) Centrino(R) Wireless-N 1030"
My linksys wireless router does not want to connect to my hp pavillion dv 6700. I had tried already tried resetting it, and it still hadn't managed to solve the issue. It might be something wrong with the IP address, or other settings. I can connect just fine to a modem. What do I need to do to resolve this and get back running wirelessly?
HP Pavilion dv6000 won't connect to my home wireless EDiAMAX BR-6204wg router via wireless. The HP will connect wireless in other locals and is working with a LAN connection to same router. This is our daughter's machine with Vista and we have trouble finding our way around in it. [code]

Been having random connection drops for the past few weeks where I would see the network connections to the router just drop either on a wireless connection or a wired cat 5 connection. As of tonight I cant connect to the router at all. If I disconnect and reconnect the power after 30 seconds it will come up for a short time but then I will lose it again. linksys as my router is out of warrenty. I'v searched around for similiar problems people have been having, but it seems like mostly involve just the internet connection. I still have the same firmware for the routers as the day I purchased it and the router sits on my desk in a ventilated area not overheating. I can do to further diagnose the problem, I have even tried resetting to factory defaults. I try to diagnose the problem or see if my router is just dead.
I have had no problems with the WUSB54GS connecting to the WRT54GS up until last Friday...it can no longer connect to the router and reports that the network cannot be found.When i refresh the list of available networks i can "see" the router on the wireless PC but when an attempt to connect is made,it fails.OK,i rang up Linksys tech support today and we tried everything possible to work out what the problem was e:g uninstalling/reinstalling the software,updating the routers firmware,disabling security,trying all channels 1 thru 11,using WEP,using WPA,changing SSID name,using secure easy setup,using windows wireless configuration,changing USB leads nothing will make the device connect.
About 2 weeks ago, my wireless adapter and ethernet port stopped working all of a sudden. When trying to diagnose, I got the Dagnostic Policy error 5. On the basis of other postings on this subject, I have tried restoring an earlier restore point, uninstalling/reinstalling the network adaptors, have tried to run net localgroup Administrators /add networkservice & /add localservice, have tried adding permissions for mpssvc in regedit (DSP parameters). I had a simple PPTP VPN server running behind my old DLink router. When I installed the E3000 the VPN clients could no longer connect. The port forwarding for PPTP is turned on and VPN passthrough is enabled. The PPTP server reported GRE47 checksum failed. The linksys chat tech was not beneficial. How to get a PPTP route to work?

I bought a HP Pavilion adv-6091nr 6 weeks ago for college. As such, I am definitely in the market for reliable wifi! I try to connect to the wireless network at my home, and either of the 2 wifi networks at my university, and I can't make either one work reliably. I have an HP Pavilion TX-1000 Entertainment PC that is really frustrating me. It will not connect to my wireless router. I have had this laptop for at least 3 years and it connects to any other wireless connection I've ever tried ( at my sons with Cox, every airport, overseas, and with my previous Qwest routers ). Since I moved and now have a Qwest PK5000Z router this laptop will not connect. The error message I get is " The network security key is incorrect ", but it's not of course. All other laptops I've used here connect successfully, Dell, Mac, Toshiba, etc.
I've just installed a new wireless broadband router yesterday. My computer was connecting ok then, except that it was occasionally losing signal. When I've turned it back on today, it can't see the network, and when I click on diagnose it says "this computer does not have a wireless network adapter installed and configured".
When starting my laptop it no longer connects to the preferred network. It has been trying to connect to my neighbors unsecured network. I have tried the netsh settings but it searches for another network and will not connect to the one it is supposed to unless I force it to.

I reinstalled windows vista on my HP pavilion dv4-1430us, after the fresh installation, the wireless internt would not work at all, and even when trying to plug in an ethernet cord it still would not connect to the internet. Is it missing the drivers needed in order to connect to the internet? if so where can i find them?
I'm having trouble connecting wirelessly with my hp pavilion laptop, running on Windows 7. I just moved and am using a new modem and linksys router. I know the router works fine because my pc (also windows 7) connects just fine. Also, when I take my laptop to a different wireless network, (i.e. coffee shop, library, etc.) it works fine. I am able to get an ethernet connection, just not wirelessly. Windows diagnostics gets me nowhere.
I recently System Recovered my Pavilion g6000 and now I cann't connect to anything.I went into the command prompt and it all read "Media Disconnect", so I googled and did the release and renew commands and the TCP thing, but no of it works.Also, my router is NetGear CDG24G50, and when I try connecting to it it will not let me. I own a HP pavilion dv7 laptop and I'm having trouble connecting to my home connection. My laptop connects to other connections but my desktop PC and gaming console are connecting to the "broken" internet just fine so I'm assuming it's the laptop.
I've tried unplugging the modem/router for minutes, uninstalling/reinstalling the network adapter device ((It now keeps coming up as "unidentified network" instead of the original name for the connection; Should I be concerned??)), and even just stopped using the laptop for a few days to see if somehow that would fix it.
I've troubleshot it and it says theres a problem with my access point/router but I don't see how that's the problem if everything else is working fine. I've spent 3 hours looking into solutions to this problem and I've come accross that the router may not be giving the laptop an IP to connect too but I'm still not sure how to fix this issue or if it's another issue all together.
I have a hp pavilion dv7. Its running windows vista it will connect to my wireless network but not the Internet. I have many other wireless devices that connect fine (xbox 360, 2 iPod touchs, and another laptop). It will connect fine at my in-laws and my buddy's house. I don't know if this means anything but I set up the network on the HP. It worked fine hooked up throu an Ethernet cord. I know it's not the modem or router. In my network center it will identify the network and show it's connected but in the manage wireless networks window it says it's connected to an unidentified network. The router is a belkin.
My WiFi card went out in my HP Pavillion dv6000 and I tried installing an external adapter. Actually I've tried 2 different ones and both try and try to connect but can't. The signal is strong but connectivity is weak. I think the problem is that when my brother installed the first one (belkin) he enabled security on my internet connection. He lives in another town and he can't remember what the security code that he put in is. I never had any problem connecting when my internal wifi was working and the connection wasn't secured. how to disable security and make it like it used to be so that I can see if this will let my external card connect? I uninstalled the Belkin and installed a netgear and that wouldn't connect either.

Tests included some sort of number entry on intenernet explorer "192.6.10020" and i also connected the laptop to the internet with a wire which WORK :) But doesnt continue to work once i disconnect the wire. my newer laptop that I have only had for a few months will not by any means connect to my router at home. However, it does connect to pretty much any other router wherever we go. And there kicker is, the desktop I am on now, my phone, and pretty much everything else, WILL connect to my router (both n and g wireless devices). So, here are the details: My laptop is an HP Pavilion G Series, running Windows 7. My router is an N600 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router (WNDR3700). The computer I am currently using (and do the router config on) is running Windows 7 as well. The router has both a g and n setup (WPA2-PSK [AES] pass). Passwords for both n and g are the same, so there is never any confusion.
I have a HP Pavilion D4990Y that I haven't used for about 6 months now. I just decided to set it back up but it will not connect to the internet. My laptop will connect, however. The computer cannot find any connections even though I know there are plenty that I can connect to with my laptop at my house, including my own router. The computer's radio search device for a connection is on and the router is working fine.
I was wondering if it is at all possible to take full advantage of WOL if my network card supports it but my bios don't. I am considering buying a network card to that supports WOL. Would this work even if my bios don't have an option to WOL? I am running Windows 7 64-but on an HP Pavilion p6270z. And I am thinking of buying this network card:[URL] After buying this card I cannot figure out how to allow it to wake my computer from sleep none-the-less from shutdown?
