We have LMS opens SSH sessions to Nexus 5000 devices as part of some jobs. These SSH connections are not being released by LMS as soon as jobs are completed, which leads the N5K devices to hang without any way of managing them remotely. We see these connections as idle on the nexus devices (which also should kill these sessions, but this is not the issue).
We have found a known bug:
CSCty90928 LMS Pari jobs are not releasing SSH,telnet connections of the devices Symptom: Telnet/SSH connections are not released by LMS Conditions: Pari collections jobs are not releasing the connections after the Job completed Workaround: None
This bug is categorized as "2 – severe" and is in "Open (Postponed)" status.I have a few questions:
1.) What is the ETA to fix this bug?
2.) Are there any other known bugs matching what we see (documented public bugs, with bug ID's, internal bugs or even undocumented bugs).
3.) Is there any released or unreleased (even yet to be tested by TAC) patch we can use that should fix the issue?
4.) Is there any way to adjust LMS idle timeout of SSH/Telnet sessions (I couldn't find it in the GUI, but maybe there is a way to change this parameter using a perl script or modifying one of LMS properties files)?
Router is setup as DHCP and only allows 7 IP address leases that expire daily. Lease time is set to 0. I have the latest firmware. Until recently when our family started using Apple iPhones (2 of them), I didn't have this issue.
Now I'm having a problem where my clients table will show leased IP's with no devices attached to them. I have to clear those no-name addresses so that the iPhones and other non-Apple wireless devices in the house can re-establish a connection.
How can I get those IP's to be removed without having to constantly log into the router and clear them?
Have a WLC 5508 running 7.0.230 with internal DHCP server. Timeout is 3600 seconds. The IP addresses never seem to be released. The controller will show 70 clients but 254 addresses will be assigned.
OS: Windows Vista Home Premium?Trying unsuccessfully so far to reconnect a client machine to a wireless network that it has been on for a year or so.ISP was down for about 2 hours the other day and when it came back up, the client machine started getting the IP address conflict. Went in to release and renew and got the following error messages:
on release: An error occurred while releasing interface Wireless Network Connection: An address has not yet been associated with the network endpoint.
on renew: The DHCP client has obtained an IP address that is use on the network. The local interface will be disabled until the DHCP client can obtain a new address.
The next thing I tried was to go in an give a manual IP address to the Wireless Adapter. But the TCP/IP properties are greyed out and I receive the following error message:Some of the controls on this property sheet are already open. To use these controls, close all these property sheets and then reopen this one.
XP Home edition, went to tools can't find working off line or working online to make sure off line is not checked so I can get on line DSL Verizon , Wireless router, wireless switch in on, on the cpu
A few days ago my internet suddenly stopped working. I plugged in the ethernet cord and everything worked fine. Checking the properties in the device manager showed the device was working properly, I also tried resetting it to make sure it was enabled but it did not work.
Upon troubleshooting, the "Windows Network Diagnostic" said the problems was that the Wireless adapter was not turned on. Using the switch on the front of the laptop as well as the function keys does nothing. Usually a graphic pops up showing if the WiFi is on or off, changinging transparent to show the WiFi is disabled. Now when I turn the switch on it always appears transparent, effectively going from off to off
So I know the computer reads both the function keys and the switch on the front but both methods never actually turns the adapter on. I just finished a system restore and nothing has changed
Today, while surfing the web my internet connection on my PC just randomly shuts off. I go check on my laptop and its normal. My WiFi says that I am connected to an Unidentified network with no internet access. So i got frustrated and checked all the forums and nothing seemed to work. So i restored my computer to factory settings and I still got this problem. Does this mean my Wifi Card is bad? Is it a virus? I can see other networks fine but i just cant connect to mine!
We create a LAN with D Link switch(8 port).6 pc working properly and 1 pc even not connected to LAN we check wire, the signal are transmitted properly through wire.Crimping is done properly.
I have a switch containing 48 connections. I have a patch panel that links to lots of access points in my building. One access point was not connected but needed to be but I didn't have any spare switch ports. I therefore reconnected switch 23 from one position (and thus one access point) to another position on the patch panel. Everything worked fine and this new location had network and internet access. Then however a few weeks later I had to change it back so i changed the connection of port 23 to the old position on the patch panel. When i did so port 23 showed a red light and then no light. Later I had to change it back to the other location but when i did so port 23 now shows no light whatsoever. It's as if the connection port just stopped working. Now both the old and new access point locations have no connection and I can't understand why.I tried rebooting the server but no luck. I tried connecting that access point through the patch panel to a different connection port but still no luck.
My ISP is sending the signal because my other computers are working and so is my wireless from my router. I just installed XP on my new hard drive. The graphics seem a bit off, but w/e. I tried connecting directly to the modem, and I don't get any sign that I'm connected.
I have 2 PCs connected directly together with a CAT5 crossover cable. I can ping each of them but I cannot ping names of PCs. I have specified IP addresses. My Network Places doesn't show anything in terms of workgroup PCs. I get a cannot access workgroups warning on one of them, may not have administrator privileges etc.
I need to know if I'm right about this. I have a customer that wants me to set up a dynamic-to-static IPsec tunnel between an 1811 router (dynamic) and an ASA with a static address. The catch is that the 1811 sits behind an ISPs cable modem where it picks up a private 192.168.x.x address.
Is there any other way to make this work where the router with the dynamic IP is sitting behind a box that's doing PAT translations?
OK- so my computer was going haywire - freezing, lagging, crashing. Only thing I could do was to restart in safe mode and run a full AVG scan which did show viruses that were sent to virus vault. Once I restarted into normal windows mode, the computer seems to be working fine with no freezing, etc.....but my LAN connection won't work. Looking at all the device managers and info on the LAN - it says "device is working properly". I have tried downloading a few "fix it" programs like Winsockxpfix and Complete Internet Repair - didn't work.
Only one LAN connection seems to be working, we have two computers both work only when one of the Ethernet cables is connected to the 4th port on the router. It is only this one that works. The internet and connection works on either but only one can be used at a time, if the ethernet cable from one is connected to any other LAN port than the fourth one there is no connection at all, it reads as unplugged.
I am not even sure when this would have started because up till recently I was using a laptop and didn't worry about a direct ethernet connection however it broke and now we're stuck in this problem.
I've recently been tasked with providing access to several internal servers to a remote site via one of our ASAs. In order to keep things simple, I have begun by creating a single static NAT rule for one of the servers. The Site-to-Site VPN connection profile was then created and testing has begun. Unfortunately it looks as though the NAT rule isn't working. As I monitor the tunnel, I still see our internal number being broadcasted and not the mapped address, which prevents the tunnel from being established. The remote site has verified that this is what they are seeing too.

I have been trying to get my FTP server working for months with no joy. It works when I connect to it internally but not from outside. If I do a port scan, I can see that port 21 is open. I tried it with disabled firewalls and also checked with ISP that nothing is being blocked. I have attached the config file. I used several differnet FTP servers such as CoreFTP, Wing FTP etc.
i changed my laptop from windows 7 home basic 32bit to ultimate 64bit but now the programs in the old windows does not want to install, and i was asking is the anyway i could get the programs from my old windows to work on my new windows? my laptop is a HP 620
I have Westell Ultraline series3 modem/router , the problem is i can only connect to the router/internet if i enter the IP address and DNS manually , which is not much of a problem except I have a vonage phone and can't type the ip address in it , so here's how the settings looks like , let me know what i should be changing
I am trying to connect a Wii wirelessly to a Linksys router. I keep getting an error code of 53132. Every site I've checked has said that 192.168.1.1 should be the IP used to put into the web address bar and be able to access the settings. Well, it does not work. "Cannot find server" is all I get. I used some suggestions that I found on this forum, and I tried pinging the number, and it times out 4 times. I even reset the router. I have used the numbers for the IP address as written below to try accessing the site as well, and no luck. No number works by placing it after http:// on the browser. Here is the specifics; When I use ipconfig, I get "Ethernet adapter local area connection" "connection-specific DNS Suffix" "Link-local IPv6 Address" (which is approx. 28 characters long-not retyping unless necessary) "IPv4 Address" (which is 24.3.224.140), Default gateway (24.3.224.1); then Tunnel adapter local area connection* 6:
Media state: Media disconnected" "Connection-specifix DNS Suffix:" And Tunnel adapter local area connection* 7: Media state: Media disconnected" "Connection-specific DNS Suffix:" (which is blank)
why the following configuration is not working? I have two clustered ASAs inline from one another, in front of a 4506-E switch in front of a host I want to access via RDP, like so: My issue at this stage lies with getting the UNTRUST firewall configured. I've tried the following configuration 1) Creating the host.
I've got a wireless connection in my house going through a Linksys WRT54GC router and also a wired connection with Cisco gateway (only 1 laptop uses it). About 1 month ago some strange things began to happen with the wireless connection, my PC seems not to be able to connect unless I reinstall the protocols and it's really annoying to do that every time I run my PC. Also, the wired connection stopped working (probably because of cable being broken) but it requires a router restart 90% of the time when I want to connect the laptop (that used to connect through cable) to the wireless network. The 2nd laptop has an issue mentioned in the title, the LAN works but it can't connect to the Internet through the router. Ipconfig /all shows that DHCP isn't working, there's no default gateway and DNS seems to be wrong. Could that all be related to router not being updated for a long time? I tried reinstalling drivers, unistalling and installing back network card and doing most of the things mentioned in similar threads but nothing seems to work.
The internet was working on and off for a few days but yesterday and now today it has not been working. The router I have connected is fine and the laptops and xbox that I am trying to get internet on connect to the router but will not connect to the internet. The modem is what I believe the problem is however,I am not that great in the networking department. I have a Westell 6100 it is Verizon DSL.
Im having a problem with my wireless. My whole family is connented. to wireless. But when we all use it together it goes so slow. Like 4 some times only 2 people using it at the same time.
My Wifi internet was working fine 12 hrs ago; now I can only use it with wire.I uninstall 2.0 and install Asus wireless console 3.0 but still not working, Fn+F2 not working either.
Brand new install on an Acer AOA 150 / Aspire One, - Win XP SP3 - Atheros AR5007EG wireless adapter - connects via ethernet fine. - will find the WIFi just fine, connection quality excellent. - received packets at 2..
I am having an issue with my computer that started today. Here are the basic facts:1. Nearly every internet site I try to visit does not load. Facebook and Wikipedia work, as well as ALL Google sites (including YouTube, Gmail, Google News, etc.). Nothing else I have tried to load is loading properly. 2. It could be a coincidence, but these three sites were also my Firefox bookmarks. However, I have reset the default settings for Firefox (including bookmarks) and these three sites still work and nothing else. Additionally, these three sites load in Internet explorer, so the problem isn't specific to Firefox. 3. I don't believe it's a problem with my router/internet connection because I have another computer on the same connection that's working fine (I'm typing this message on the other computer). 4. I successfully pinged other websites using Command.5. I suspect it MIGHT be malware/virus because I have no anti-virus/anti-malware software on the computer that's having problems.
