Everyone else sharing the same wifi connection as me has been having normal connection as always. My laptop does not connect to a single site because it always times out. If it does connect to a site, it takes like 10 mins. I got an alienware laptop.
View 3 RepliesI have a ASA 5510 actve/standby and create one site to site VPN with remote peer ip address xx.xx.xx.xx, Our VPN traffic running on 6 mb internet link for video conferancing traffic.Now client give another link 2 mb internet and client told to us our data traffic runnig on 2 mb link but this data traffic running on the same remote peer IP xx.xx.xx.xx.
Secondly request also they need failover over the ISP link.
how we immplement the same on ASA 5510.
Can I use a single Public IP address for both Internet access and site to site vpn access?If not, can I configure the RV220W as a bridge and still use it via another gateway configured for vpn passthrough as a VPN appliance/server on the LAN?

I tried as much as I can but now i dont know what to do or how and where is the mistake? the connection between these two devices was there last week, after weekend (nothing changed in configs) the connection suddenly was interrupted, without any reason or warning. another day it worked again and 20 mins later connection was dead again...and now it wont establish at all.. here are some screenshots from the vpnconfigs of my devices. one has a static IP the otherone uses FQDN. View 10 Replies View RelatedJust bought a new laptop for my mother - a Packard Bell Easynote TS with Windows 7. Attempted to connect it to our home's existing router, but have run into problems.We have two other computers in the house, both linked via ethernet to the router (a Netgear DG834Gv5) although one sometimes goes wireless with no problem whatsoever. I have been on various forums to find ways of solving this issue; I have turned off the router and laptop and rebooted both; I have checked at the router IP address to see if the SSID name is broadcasting, it is; I have added the correct MAC address to the access list as we are on WPA2-PSK (wifi protected access 2 with pre-shared key); I have tried disabling this security option in the hope it allows a connection but no; I have even tried copying the existing network configuration from the laptop than can connect wirelessly and via USB stick pasted across to the new laptop, this also failed to work. I have also been into the Device Manager to check the network adapter (ATHEROS AR5B97) is working properly and it has the latest drivers installed - it has. There is no yellow warning symbol on it. When I run a diagnostic check it results in: "Investigate router or access point issues."
Booting up the laptop reveals that there are wireless network connections available - the home one. It has a good-to-excellent signal strength, radio type = 802.11g, the SSID is showing. But when I click on 'connect', it brings up: "WINDOWS WAS UNABLE TO CONNECT TO [our SSID]"When I connect this new laptop using the ethernet cable that I sometimes run my existing laptop with, it connects to the internet with no problem at all, so it is definitely just a wireless issue.The only thing that I am aware I haven't tried is to uninstall the pre-installed 60-day trial of Norton which some suggest may block the signal (is that right?) but I have temporarily disabled it and that did nothing.
If I try to connect to my internet wirelessly and my laptop has more than 2 meters distance approximately from my router then for some reason it doesn't connect.The laptop can spot my network at that distance and i can connect without problems from any other device such as my mobile phone or my mother's laptop, so I'm pretty sure that I'm not out of reach.Occasionaly it connects but this appens very rarely (in fact it happened twice so far), disconnects shortly after (after about 5 min) and the internet speed during that time is rediculously slow

View 7 Replies View RelatedI don't really know much about computers, but I have a Dell inspiron 1545 and it fell off my bed by accident a while back so now I notice glitches here and there, but recently it just doesn't connect to Internet anymore, and I know my wifi is fine because I'm using my iPad right now to write this. When I go to Network and Sharing Center it shows a drawing of my PC and then a green line to "Identifying" and a line with an X to Internet. It also says my access is local only.

Then i have 5 site to site VPN working fine but when im traying to access to those L2L VPNs from the remote acces client im not able to do that. So after that i decided to obtain IP addresses from my DHCP server so i can obtain IPs from my local network (172.17.16.0/16) and then access normally to the VPN site to site. But the surprise was that the VPN cisco client is getting local IP address (172.17.16.222) perfectly but im not able to access even to my local network.
I have the same-security-traffic permit inter-interface same-security-traffic permit intra-interface enable.
I am try to setup my office network to able to connect to one of my customer HQ via site to site VPN. I am using Cisco 1841 router to do the job.
The problem that I am facing now is no able to connect my other PC in office to the remote site.

I've spent 2 days already trying to get 2 ASA 5505's to connect using an IPSec vpn tunnel. I cannot seem to figure out what im doing wrong, im using 192.168.97.0 and 192.168.100.0 as my internal networks that i'm trying to connect over a directly connected link on the outside interfaces with 50.1.1.1 and 50.1.1.2 as the addresses (all /24). I also tried with and currently without NAT enabled. Here are the configs for both ASA's, the vpn config was done by the ASDM, however i have also tried the command line apporach with no success. I have followed various guides to the letter online, starting from an empty config and from factory default. I have also tried the 8.4 IOS. [code]

There are a number of different sites, where i am unable to access them, no matter what the browser. on chrome, for example, i get a "unable to access network" message.
However on my desktop, i am able to get on that site, no problem at all. I have had a look to see if i may have been using any DNS settings, but i dont believe i am, and have edited my host file to the default, still no luck.

View 4 Replies View RelatedFor the past few days now, I haven't been able to connect to a single website. The website in question is [URL] I've tried everything that I can think of, but nothing is working.
I've tried multiple browsers (Chrome, Firefox, and IE), I've checked my host file and I've flushed my dns, restarted router and computer, and renewed/released the ipconfig. I can ping the website in CMD and all the packets go through fine, but attempting to connect via domain name or IP address with a browser does not work. Using a proxy also does not work. Connecting to my neighbors wifi does work.
Sometimes If I let it sit there and load for a long time, it will connect but only partially load the page. I'm also able to connect to the websites chat network and stay connected even while the rest of the site will not load.
I'm guessing it has something to do with my router. I have a westell router/modem which I'm pretty sure the firmware has been gimped by my ISP, Century Link.
I have a requirement to create a site to site vpn tunnel on ASA 5510 from a remote site to my HO, ihave already other site-to-site tunnels are up and running on the ASA.The issue is my remote site has got the network address which falls in one of the subnet used in HO(192.168.10.0/24).My requirement is only My remote site need to accees couple of my servers in HO which is in 192.168.200.0/24 subnet.

The laptop works fine when the LAN cable is plugged in though. Our other laptop can connect to the internet with or without the LAN cable. I had a pc, a laptop, and a wireless printer all working properly together. Printer stopped working for some reason. The solution at which I arrived was to remove the existing printer profile and add it fresh. That worked for the pc but not for the laptop. The laptop doesn't see it.

My OS is Windows 7 x64 and I have to admit that I haven't tried any other operating systems yet. To sum it up; Windows sees network SSID's, makes an attempt to connect, waits a long time, then fails with the message: Windows was unable to connect to [*SSID*] and this happens with every router I try. This is kind of bugging me because it defeats the whole purpose of having a laptop as the only way of connecting it to the internet is via LAN.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have two usb modem A and modem B. modem A could download at max of 300kbps while B could download at max of 700kbps. Since I am a frequent internet user, Im planning to use this two modem simultaneously so that I could have a max speed of 500+300=800+kbps. But I dont know if this would work. The problem with usb modem is that, when you connect the modem A in the internet while modem B is currently running, Modem B is being disregarded right? I was thinking of, say while im browsing and downloading, modem A would be use for browsing and modem B is for downloading. Or them may either share each connection for better performance.

I recently moved into the dorms of my college and tried connecting my laptop to the internet using an ethernet cable. It worked, so I decided to try and play Xbox Live through the use of the ethernet cable and it did not work. After messing around with it and failing to get it to work for my Xbox 360, the ethernet decided to quit working for my computer as well. (To try and get my Xbox to connect to the internet with the ethernet cord, I tried network bridging by bridging the ethernet connection with the wireless connection, then unplugging the ethernet cable from the wall so as to connect it from my laptop to Xbox 360. This didn't work so I just deleted the bridge. This is when the problem started happening as the local connection stopped appearing.) I am able to plug it in and see that in the Network and Sharing Center, however, it shows up as being unplugged. After a couple seconds though, it disappears. If I click on it fast enough, it shows up with an Error Code 45 after looking at the properties. I have tried typing in ipconnfig /all and the ethernet connection doesn't show up there either.
