View 1 RepliesWell I accidentally put the router in bridge mode. It's a e1200 or 2500 I'm not exactly sure. But I was wondering how I can get it out? I can't access the web interface at 192.168.1.1 however I can access my modem's interface at 192.168.254.254.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've DMZ'd my computer using the the E1200's Web Browser Config screen (192.168.1.1) yet when I try to test the ports not a single one is open.
I've used this test to see if they were open: [URL]
And almost none of them were. Is there any issue that could be causing this?
Also when I try to open a single port the site says it times out. Opening single ports didn't work either. I've also tried to DMZ via the IP and the MAC address of my PC and still no luck.
I can not even get in to management mode. In next program that just keeps trying to auto repair the connection and never displays any radio button option the direction state like "advanced settings".At the very least your PDF should match your user friendly **bleep** ware! The instructions even refer to itself wrong! It states "for manual set up go use browser connection section" then in that section it describes an auto set up and instructs you to follow the set up steps on the CD.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a Cisco 880 (supplied by my company and as such I have little access to the control panel). I have a Linksys (Cisco) E1200 to use as an access point. Cisco setup (love it!) but the simple setup gives the E1200 an ip range starting at 192.168.1.1 while the Cisco 880 range is 192.168.185.113. I need to have all connections in the same ip rage (192.168.185.xxx) for remote monitoring. What is the best way to accomplish this? Bridge mode (I don't need Guest Mode which I read is not possible in bridge mode)? Disable DHCP on the E1200?
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe first part, is this even possible? Modem to switch.
Second part, e1200 router plugged into switch, handles DHCP for the switch.
Plug gigabit computers into the switch, non gigabit/wireless devices into the e1200 router.
If e1200 can't handle DHCP for the switch, could I configure a DHCP linux server directly to the switch?
I don't want to limit my network to my e1200 speeds when I have a gigabit capable modem and a gigabit capable switch.
My Encapsulation router WAG54G2 switch RFC 2516 PPPoE to Bridged mode only everyday and all configuration that i made will reset and also Application & Gaming button error when i click.I'v reset to factory default and upgrade the firmwire to the latest one but it not work also I replace the device but nothing changed. The problem will solve if I cut the powir off and restarted agein.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI replaced my broken modem with a new Motorola 3360 as recommended by my ISP. The new modem works fine connected directly to my PC. When connecting the modem to the Cisco E1200 router, the same one I had with the older modem, the E1200 says I'm not connected to the PC. I've triple checked the wired connections from the modem to the router and then to the PC. I've swapped out cables and verified that they all work when used directly from the modem to the PC. I'm thinking some settings from the old Westell modem are messing with the connectivity of the new E1200 router.

I have a Linksys E1200 wireless router and I am having problems connecting to the internet. I can connect when plugged in to the cable modem directly. I can connect to the wireless network, but there is no internet connection. I ran ipconfig release and renew. I think it may be a DNS problem, but I'm not sure.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have been attempting to set up a linksys wireless-n e1200 router on my hp p6-2007c (Windows 7 SP1, 64-bit) desktop pc for the last day and have exhausted everything i can think of. The previous router was a linksys WRT54G and it worked fine. However, upon setting up this new router i get a "no internet access" message accompanied by the little yellow triangle and the ability to still connect to my router via its ip address to alter its configuration. The connection status for the network and the internet is identical for all the laptops in my house. I originally attempted setting up the router using Cisco's setup program. At its conclusion, the setup program informs me that i am connected to the router, but my internet connection has been lost (even though it was never there) I have tried starting over from scratch by resetting the router back to its default settings and using a variety of different channels (Auto, 1, 6, and 11), frequencies, etc. I have uninstalled norton antivirus, disarmed the windows security programs, made sure of TCP/IP settings, rolled back, uninstalled, and finally updated firmware, uninstalled/reinstalled driver for wireless card, disabled/enabled the card itself, deleted all other previous network profiles still present in the "Manage Wireless Networks" screen, and probably some other suggestions i came across in this forum. They all failed with the same results, i.e. the ability to connect to the network locally and having no internet access.

The regular (non-guest) account works as advertised. The E1200 is connected to my Verizon modem/router. I have tried disable/enable of DHCP on the E1200; I have tried setting the E1200 Static DNS 1 to my Verizon router IP address without success.
I just installed an E1200 router and used the CD to take care of the software work. I Cannot connect to it by WiFi. I still have to use a cable connection.

View 9 Replies View RelatedIn one area of the home is a century link pk 5000 modem that connect to the internet. In another area of the home is the computer that has an e1200. Is it possible to connect the computer to the internet, wirelessly, from the e1200 to the pk5000? How is this accomplished?
I know the settings for the pk5000 and would "input" them into the e1200 if I friggen knew where to do this.
My ISP requires MAC authentication on the router for internet access. They provide the router, and register that router to their access list.I'm not very happy with the router they provided, so I'm planning to buy a E1200 and clone my current router's MAC address. But when I checked the interface of this router, the mac cloning page has a button saying "Clone my PC's MAC". And in the FAQ page of E1200 it says that the router can automatically capture the MAC address of the PC. Which is not what I want to do.I want to manually input my older router's MAC address into this router to clone it.
