Linksys EA2700 - Unable To Connect To Internet

I had my Linksys ES2700 router up and working but during a new printer install I inadvertently reset the router to the factory defaults. I am now unable to re-install the router. I am able to access the internet if I hard-wire from the modem to the computer; however, once I wire from the modem to the router and the router to the computer, I lose internet connection. I have run Repair and manually performed ipconfig /release and /renew, and I have reset the modem, router and computer. I run Symantec and I have disabled protection. I have Comcast as my ISP.

I have EA2700 Router which support to be a dual-band wireless router and I am trying to connect to my router using 5 Ghz band with AE2500 Dual-Band Wireless-N USB Adapter, I am only seeing 2.4 Ghz wireless band plus even if I manually enter my 5 Ghz SSID my network adapter still wouldn't work on 5 Ghz band. Is there any specific set up in order get 5 Ghz band to work?

I have a Cisco outer EA2700 connected using a Lan cable, Lan cable works fine as I connected it directly to my PC, I am unable to access wifi network connection, I am able to search the router and also able to cnnect to the router, But wireless connection shows limited or no connectivity, and unable to access any websites. It was working fine till yesterday, I tried rebootng ad also unplug and replug the network cable also reset the router but does not work

Set up a Smart Wi-Fi yesterday. Linksys Smart Wi-Fi Router N600. Have 2 computers side by side. Connected my computer seamlessly. Works perfect. Went to set up my husbands computer (both computer are desk top HP Pavillion running windows 7) and the way I was doing it thru the network sharing center on his computer I was not able to get the computer to see the wi-fi. I tried both the router p/w and the p/w that was supplied by the smart wi-fi help center. So I wired it directly to the Linksys router with a new cat-5 ethernet cable. VOILA..internet connection! Question..is his computer secure even tho it doesn't have it's own p/w and is wired directly to the router? My thought is "yes" since the router is p/w protected.

I just got a new EA2700 and I notice that there is no way to get the same downloads speeds in wireless when compared to wired.Wired to my SHAW Cable modem I get 50 Mbps when I go wireless I get simply haalf of that. I spent almost 2 hours with the Linksys support on the phone and they said my router was bad.I do not buy that but it seems that something is not clear, or Linksys do a bogus advertisement saying that we can get 10x more speeds with this generation of routers or wireless technologies are just like that, cut your wired downloads speeds in half. Getting half download speeds in wireless connections versus full when wired?

I have an EA2700 running latest firmware 1.1.38.138827. It is using Cisco Connect Cloud. I am unable to access the DHCP Reservations link under Connectivity/ Local Network. When I click on it, nothing happens. I've tried multiple browsers including IE 10 (Windows 8 RTM), Firefox 15, and Chrome 21. I also tried on a Windows 7 machine with IE 9 and the link doesn't work on that either except that it shows a box that says Invalid Character when I click on the DHCP Reservations link. I see no invalid characters on the screen. Any workaround other than downgrading the firmware or assigning static IPs on individual PCs?Also, on an unrelated note, where is the Dynanic DNS configuration on the Cisco Connect Cloud?

I recently purchased an EA2700 to replace an old Belkin. I ran the set up CD and I am unable to establish an internet connection. I am able to connect to the router (both wired and wireless), ccess the settings, etc but cant reach the net. I've tried turning off the firewall, flushing the DNS, disabledthe IPv6. Did all the basic steps, resett the modem/router, etc...nothing. i hook the Belkin up and it connects just fine

Before upgrading my firmware on my EA2700, I can easily reserve IP address for my wired device. With the new cloud interface, I click to select the device from the top pane to bring it down in the reserved IP pane below. When I try to save the IP change I get two errors: 1) Invalid characters in the device name 2) Invalid IP address. I get the same errors even if I do not edid not edit the name or IP address.
As for the device name, I did not change anything or rename the device. One device has a " - " in the name and the router was happy with it until I tried to reserve the IP. Another one had a " ' " in the name, same problem again.
My network DHCP range is set to 192.168.1.200 to 192.168.1.250 and I use the range from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.100 for static IP. When I tried to reserve a static IP below 192.168.1.200, the router say that is an invalid IP.
The workaround to this problem has been to temporary set the DHCP range to 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.50 and set the static IP in that range and rename the devices to a name that the EA2700 will accept. Next I move the DHCP range from 192.168.1.50 to 192.168.1.100 and repeat the process. After, all the static IP are assigned, then I can reset the DHCP range to 192.168.1.200 to 192.168.1.250.
This is a pain to do. In the previous (cloud less) version, this was a breeze to do. Also, I have not figured out how to redirect ports with the new interface. Is that progress?

went through setup twice, double checked connections, bought new ethernet cable from router to computer, still not connecting. However when i go from my modem to computer i get connected. could i have a faulty router. the router is new from walmart the ea2700.

Every time after the router (Linksys EA2700) is powered off and restarted, there is no interent access available. The router configuration status reports an Internet Address of 0.0.0.0 and all the devices at home are left with a wifi without Internet access. I have to unplug the WAN from the router and plug it in again while it is turned on to restore internet access (and a normal Internet Address is seen from the status page). The WAN works fine with the routers I had previously. I wonder if I have to perform this every time I power on the router. I have tried resetting the router and reinstalling Cisco Connect but that didn't work.

I just bought linksys EA2700 to replace my U.S Robotics .. but when i try to connect it like the old router , the internet lights won't turn on, is it because i have to use a modem then use ethernet cable ? can't i just use ADSL cable directly to the router like robotics router ? when i try to configure it manually , i change the internet type to PPoE protocol but i can't find VCI/VPI so where are they ?

I have had my EA2700 for about 6 months now. Have had no problems until about a month ago. One night I could not get the router to connect to the internet. First thoughts were that the cable connection had gone down. When I finally started to trouble shoot I was able to confirm the cable connection is fine by connecting to the modem directly.
Out of the modem I am getting 14+ Mbps. (I only Pay for 10 So a plus there)
I could not get the router to connect to the internet. I ended up resetting the router and reconfiguring it. Ever since then I have been getting really unstable connection to the internet.
When I connect directly to the modem (cabled) I am getting a nice steady connection . When I add the router and hardware in I get a good connection only a Mbps or 2 drop off and a pretty steady connection. Then when I connect over WIFI I get a much larger drop off depending on if the device is a 2.4 or a 5
The connection is extremely unstable. The curve on the graph {URL} is very peaky and has extreme highs and lows. This is multiplied when running on the GHz (as my laptop runs on). My Iphone running on GHz. I can pull down 9 Mbps but the curve is still up and down. Iphone on GHz I barely get Mbps and it is extremely choppy on the graph.
I am able to back this up with my I PAD. I can only confirm the 2.4 number with the laptop as it does not have GHz radio in it. So every thing that us running on the 2.4 is getting poor connections.
I also suspect that the through put on the wired side is poor as well. I am unable to prove it as every test I run shows a good connection but netflix has been locking up and I have to restart what ever I am watching 2 to even 10 times a show. I need to do more testing to be sure the network or the devices are to blame.

I've had this router for about 3 weeks. It's only 20 feet from the computer, but my computer on 2 or 3 separate days had trouble staying connected. The signal dropped to 5 Mbps and had a little yellow symbol that said no internet access and when I looked at the properties it said, "limited or no connectivity." I got impatient and purchased a 75 ft Ethernet cable online with plans to possibly return the router as I don't really need wireless anyways and since I spent $100 on this router I expect it to work at 20 ft distance.
For the last few days it has remained at 54 Mbps or more sometimes all the way up to 108 mbps. But now since it got pretty low a few times I don't trust it enough so I might return it anyways.IPv6 connectivity says no network access. This might be because when it asked for administrator password to recognize it as a trusted home network I closed it instead of putting in the password.

I've been unable to connect to the internet or even my Linksys router (192.168.1.1) from my main desktop. However, I can access the internet and the router by way of another (older) desktop and two laptops.This problem occurred after powering down and unplugging both desktops before a thunder storm. Later that night I powered on and had this issue. ISP didn't have any outages in the area. [code] Network and Sharing Center displays (this computer) with a line connecting to Unidentified Network and the red x between Internet. When viewing the status of that local network connection packets are being sent but 0 are received. TCP/IPv4 and 6 Properties are set to obtain IP/DNS automatically.I don't have any additional firewall software but windows firewall is enabled.

I am currently having problems connecting to my apartment internet through my Linksys E900 router. This problem occurred at random as well, I went to bed one night and I was connected with zero problems and when I woke up it no longer worked. It has been like this for a week now and I feel like I've tried everything, including buying a new Netgear router which didnt work either.Some basic info:
- Router is a Linksys E900
- My apartment complex provides free internet through Pavlov Media
- I can connect to the unsecured Pavlov wireless with no problem
- Before it stopped working, I had simply set up the router by plugging it into a wall ethernet jack and running the setup disc. This no longer works, it will set up the network but then I receive an error stating it is unable to connect to the internet.

OS - Vista Home Premium x32 I have a modem (Comcast) connected to my router (Linksys wireless-g /wrt54g v6) connected to my desktop which runs Vista.recently i am unable to connect to internet using my desktop, but I am still able to use my wireless devices such as wii, laptop, phone, ipad etc. with problem When I first boot up computer I receive error UPnP device host has stopped working. I close that and I have no network connections (linksys or LAN connections-icons) in my network and sharing area. Nothing is listed. When i click diagnose issue i receive the follow error A CABLE IS NOT PLUGGED INTO THE NETWORK ADAPTER "LOCAL AREA CONNECTION* 12" I have changed ethernet cords but still the same error. Nothng has been changed and as stated worked fine 2 days ago. I also did IPCONFIG and all i receive are ETHERNET ADAPTER LOCAL AREA CONNECTION* 12 MEDIA STATE.....MEDIA DISCONNECTED and so on. No IP address is listed.

I just upgraded my router from an old wireless54G to an E1200.The wireless device I have on my Sony Viao PCG GRT-240G laptop is LAN-Express AS IEEE 802.11g miniPCI Adapter
-Initially I couldn't connect at all with this machine (however the other two newer laptops could) so I contacted the Linksys tech and he advised I should upgrade my laptop driver
-After much research about this I found a common fix was to upgraded drivers from the 2004 sony driver to atheros_wifi_9.2.0.480 drivers.
-After I did the upgrade I can connect to the router on the guest account and use the internet

I have a few devices I cannot connect to my router or modem but my ps3 and 2 xboxes are connected. I have easy link and I try to add devices to it but it doesn't show me the same options it did before when I added my ps3, and ipod. Now I can't connect my psp or any phone to it, I have the WRT54GS v7.2, those are my only problems with the router nothing.

I have had this router with no real problems for the past 2 years. As of now I can't connect to the internet through the router wired or wirelessly. I have tried all the hard resets and other tricks. I can go straight from my internet connection to my computer and it works fine. Once I go through the router using a lan cord all I get is limited or no connectivity. I have tried to access the router set up using the 192.68. etc but can't just states invalid address. Anything else to try or is this thing bricked ?

The laptop I used to set-up the system will usually connect to the router but not allow me through to the internet then after a shutdown and repowering it connects. what to check? The othhitch. For some reason my wireless router recognized my pc, or my modem, Neither is it able to connect to the internet. All the lights are on but not flashing/blinking like they used to. I tried to run the setup over and it couldn't find the router even though everything was plugged correctly. I tried reseting the router but that doesn't even affect it. All the lights remain on with on blinking or flashing no mater what I do. Is there anyway for my router to work normal again or do I need to get a ned wireless router?

My BEFSR81 router has never been a problem for over 10 years.All of a sudden I can not connect to the internet..I only use the router for connecting 2 PCs to the internet modem. I have not changed any configuration. tried my IPS COX recommendation to disconnect the power for about 1 minute then try again with no luck. CoX said they tried pinging my router but could not get a reading. While waiting for them to come up with a solution, I hooked one of my PCs directly to the modem. It worked. So I tried it with the other PC. But it didn't work right away. It kept trying to dial up for a connection. I finally got the WIZARD to get it configured correctly. I assume it must be a router problem because either one of my PCs can get an internet connection when hooked to the modem. I did not pusue any further with COX, THEIR AUTOMATED TROUBLE SHOOTER WAS GETTING ON MY NERVES.Should I take the time to resolve the issue with the router or buy a new or refurbished router? If the task isn't too complicatged, I am willing to try and fix it.

I am unable to connect to the internet with my XP computer. I am running Apple Air Port as my router. The wireless network has an iMac, an IBM Think Pad(XP SP2)and a Dell XPS 410 (XP SP2). I am using WPA security and the Dell will not connect while the other two computers always connect. My wireless network is broadcasting, but when I try to connect after entering the proper key, it attempts to connect but appears to time out and displays the available wireless network. I tried reinstalling the drivers, but no success. Device Manager says the card is working and enabled.

I have a new Linksys E2000, I was unable to connect one of my laptops to the internet, so I decided to call support with the problem, after 45min and not results, find out that the E2000 do not support the Atheros AR 5007, they told me that I need to get a new driver for my adapter. Fine but Cisco doesn’t have a Driver update for this problem or how to fix it, or at least send you a link where to get the fix.

I have had a problem with my WRT400N wireless Linksys router. Whenever my router restarts or if the DHCP lease expires, I'm unable to connect to internet. During this time I can access the router, but not the internet. Oddly something that seems to "fix" this is if I use my nintendo wii to access my wireless internet at that time, all computers on my network are able to access the internet. However this is annoying to do since this happens once a day from DHCP lease expiring. Using any other computer to attempt to access the internet at this time would be unable to get a connection until I do the "fix" with the Wii. WRT400N

Few days ago I started to get the following error message while trying to connect to the internet using Chrome and IE:"Unable to connect to the proxy server..."I don't have a proxy server configured - nothing is checked in the LAN settings page.In Firefox I don't have that problem - it seems it gets the proxy configuration from elsewhere.

In my device I am able to browse through & connect to my HOME wifi network ; But after connecting it says 'No Internet Access'.I tried connecting with my SONY Bluray , iphone , ipad , laptops -- everywhere same story.I am able to plug in the ethernet cable directly from modem & able to connect to network.I am not able to open the http://192.168.0.1 -- ( When I am plugged in the modem directly)
