Model E1000
I wrote down the password of my wireless router on installing it. However, each time I want to add a new device to the router, the password that I wrote down does not prompt the router to recognize the new device or equipment. How do I go back into my computer and retrieve the password to my router if I did copy it down wrongly? how to retrieve the password.
I bought a Wireless-N Home Router MODEL WRT120N so that I could use my new Kindle Fire online, since I could never catch an open wi-fi signal in my house. Router IS correctly installed and working fine.....but when I go to use my Kindle, I see it on the list, click on it, enter my password.......and it tells my my password must be incorrect. I KNOW it is correct! I even went and CHANGED the password just in case!
My Kindle keeps giving the message "Unable to connect to the selected Access Point. Please check the password you have provided."
installed the E1000 router that AT&T provides with U-verse DSL. All works fine except that the device name that appears under "Network Infrastructure" in Windows 7 shows the original default name that Cisco assigned instead of the name I chose. It does not affect operation or performance but looks oddball. I don't see how it can be changed.

I used Cisco connect to set up guest access with a secure password. Cisco Connect now indicates guess access is allowed and shows the password. However, when I actually try to connect to the guest network, it shows no security at all, and I can join the network without a password.

After changing the password and clicking on Save a small screen pops up asking me to verify my router's username and password. When I enter the exact same user name and password it does not accept them. When I try to enter the old user name and password it does not accept them either. 1. My laptop will see his wifi but after entering the pass will not connect
2. The pass is correct because I introduced the same pass on my mobile and I was able to connect to his wifi through my mobile

I have an old Compaq PC that's running Windows XP SP3 and for quite some time has not had problems with networking or using this wireless adapter. But not long ago the network interface disappeared and the adapter was now being shown in the Device Manager as an unknown device. If you pulled the adapter out and reinserted it you'd get a message on screen that would say something to that effect.
There are two computers next to each other that both use this exact same adapter and I've tried swapping them between the PCs to see if one adapter worked better than another. They both work in one PC and neither work in the PC I'm having trouble with.
Have an hp pavilion a1700n with amd athlon. I switched from Vista to XP, but it's not recognizing some drivers. The network card is not detected on my pc, however the device manager says is working properly!!!??? What can I do? I need to connect to the internet in order to download the other drivers.

Unfortunately, my computer (WIN XP) won't recognise the device when using a direct connection though my talk talk supplied D-LINK wireless router. I have contacted WD and talktalk and gone through all the diagnostic processes but it still won't recognise the device. I have been able to connect this device through an older D-LINK router (still wireless) on the same talk talk ISP with no problems so I can't understand why it won't connect here. The WD device reports no problems but I can't access it, even when all firewall and AV programs are disabled.
