Linksys Wireless Router :: E1200 Not Saving Port Forwarding

Sep 6, 2012

I am currently attempting to port forward on my Linksys E1200 Router and am not succeeding in saving my settings. I am attempting to open port 25565 though both Single Port Forwarding and Port Range Forwarding, and whenever I click the "save settings" button, I receive a full window message stating that my changes have been saved. Upon clicking this, I return to the previous screen whereupon my changes have been erased and my port has not been forwarded. Linksys E1200 Router not saving Port Forwarding changes.I have tried:

-Restarting the Modem
-Restarting the browser
-Restarting the computer
-Tried to Port Forward through both the Single and Ranged Port Forwarding

Linksys Wireless Router :: E1200 Port Range Forwarding Is Not Working?

I currently have an E1200. I can port forward single ports, but when I attempt to forward a range of ports it doesn't work and there is no error in the log.

Specifically I am port forwarding RTP ports (10000 - 20000). I am aware of the security risks, please do not preach.

Linksys Wireless Router :: Port Range Forwarding Fails E1200?

Aug 21, 2011

I have configured port range forwarding (8440 - 8449) for a single PC (192.168.1.134) and am unable to access these ports from outside my LAN. Conversely, if I set up single port forwarding for each of the ports in the range for the same computer then I am able to access from outside my LAN. Does port range forwarding actually work?

Linksys Wireless Router :: E1200 Port Forwarding To Wireless?

Feb 23, 2013

I have a camera connected to the router. IP address 192.168.1.145(static). It responds on port 7654. The camera connected either wired(if connected) or wireless otherwise using the same IP and port. the camera responds correctly on both wired and wireless from a LAN connected computer. If I try to connected via the Internet, camera will only respond if connected via a wire; i.e. the port forwarding is not forwarding internet requests on port 7654 to a wirless IP address, but will to a wired IP address. It has worked in the past, so the router seems to be capable of routing requests to the wireless LAN. Either I have changed some setting (unlikely as have reloaded saved configuration) or it is a hardware error in the router. Have had previous problems with the router which neccessitated a full reboot/reset to clear. Guessing there was some problem making the router run out of memory. Response to the configuration setup pages can be slow, and some (DHCP list and access policy) on occasions are just not responded to(AP) or not complete(DHCP - page opened but no data shown)

Linksys Wireless Router :: E1200 No Internet Port On Back

Sep 19, 2011

I have a question about the function of an E1200 relative to a WRT54G. We currently have the 54G plugged into our LAN, the Ethernet cable plugged into one of the Ethernet ports, not the Internet port, on the back. It is giving wireless clients IP addresses according to our main LAN DHCP, as if they were hard-wired which is correct. Bad thing is, I have no idea what IP address is/was assigned to the 54G itself as it was not logged when done, way before my time. I cannot log into it and take a look at its settings and attempt to mimic what is going on in there on something like an E1200.

Therin lies my next questions. What could be occurring on the 54G that is enabling it to dish out like a WAP and does the E1200 support WAP function? If not, which models do that can be added to the 54G?

Linksys Wireless Router :: WRT610N - Way To Set Up Port Forwarding

Jun 26, 2012

I am finding it impossible to set up port forwarding. No matter what I do I remain completely stealthed when I do a port probe via [URL]... The only way I seem to be able to open a port is if I enable remote management. When I do that, whatever port I specifiy as the remote management port is then fully open. Obviously, I can't leave a port exposed like this and, anyway, I need to open multiple ports for my purposes.

Linksys Wireless Router :: EA2700 - NAT And Port Forwarding?

Feb 6, 2013

My first issue with this device is when I try to untick NAT to disable it I lose my internet connection. This also disables access to router's address 192.168.1.1 forcing me to reset the device and set it up all over again. Why is this happening? I tried this at least five times with the same result. Second question I have is if the DHCP reservation is the right option if I want to forward ports for certain applications like Vuze? When the DHCP reservation window opens I see all my wireless devices in the list (laptop, phone) but not the main computer which is connected through ethernet port. But that is yet another problem.

I've got a cable modem, connection is set to Automatic DHCP and I all want is to disable all firewalls, NAT and other unnecessary protection that's slowing my internet speed, set up MAC address filtering, port forwarding and close this terrible software so I never have to see it or think about it ever again.

Linksys Wireless Router :: Port Forwarding On A WRT120N

Nov 1, 2009

I just bought a WRT120N wireless router, and have run into some strange problems with port forwarding. I have a two router setup, because my ISP have set it up so i can only use my router from them to get my connection, and then i just have that one connected to my WRT120N. So my setup looks like the following:

The problem is that ONLY the three first ports works. I have forwarded them in the exact same manner, give it a name, put in the same external and internal port, and enable the port forwarding, but according ot can you seeme.org, only 4667, 6112, and 4669 can be seen, the rest is not responding. I even tried to enable port 21, which is a default setting in the router, but it will just not work.I have of course tried to reboot both router and PC, upgraded the routers firmware, but no luck.

Linksys Wireless Router :: E4200 Port Forwarding On TCP / 80 And 443

Aug 31, 2012

I'm a happy user of the E4200 for a few weeks now, and all in all it's a very robust and useful router.Within my network I have a webserver running using both HTTP (TCP 80) and HTTPS (TCP 443). I want to make this webserver available to the internet and so I configure port forwarding to forward port TCP 80 and TCP 443 to my internal webserver. As soon as I now apply these settings, I loose connection to the webinterface of the E4200 and get connected to my internal webserver. I would expect the router would only forward connections coming in through the external interface of the router, however this is apparently not the case (or at least not in my setup). So I tried setting up remote management on a different port to at least allow me to remotely manage the router, but this does not work from my internal network.

Right now, I'm assuming I'm doing something wrong, or have miss-configured something. Is it possible to switch the webadmin port to a different port (like 8080 and 8443)?

Linksys Wireless Router :: WRT54G - Port Forwarding Setup

Feb 12, 2012

I'm trying to set up my WRT54G wireless router so.i can port forward the relevant ports for my programs. I understand that you have to set up a static ip address before you can do a port forward which makes sense as you do not want to keep changing the ip address for the forwarding settings every time your network refreshes. But I cant seem to have it set up. And is there a rule that the static ip that you set should not be within the dhcp range? After setting up the static ip and setting up the port forward settings how do I test if the port is being forwarded correctly?

Linksys Wireless Router :: Single Port Forwarding On WRV210?

How to forward a single port to a different port to a specific computer for the WRV210 router?

I would like to forward port 10100 to port 25 to my mail server.  There are times when our people are at a hotel and they block port 25 and I have done this in the past on a BEFSR11 and BEFSR41 router.  There does not seem to be a Single Port Forwarding setup page and the Port Forwarding setup page only allows you to forward a range to a specific computer, it does not give you a different port you can assign an incoming port to.

I have the most current firmware revision, 2.0.0.11, and Hardware Version WRTR-221G_V01.

Linksys Wireless Router :: E3000 - Spontaneous Port Forwarding IP Changes?

Aug 19, 2011

I have an E3000 with firnware 1.0.04. A forwarded port is spontaneously changing the IP address assigned to it, but with no change indicated in the singel port forwarding configuration.I have a web server on IP=XXX.XXX.XXX.7, and another device on my LAN with an internal web server at IP= XXX.XXX.XXX.8.  The single port forwarding configuration is:

HTTP, external port 80, internal port 80, protocol=TCP, to internal IP address xxx.xxx.xxx.7, enable checked The configuration is saved, and all works well for for hours and/or days and I can use the web host from the intenet as expected.  However, after a few days or hours the E3000 suddenly starts sending the http traffic to IP=xxx.xxx.xxx.8 instead of xxx.xxx.xxx.7.  When I log in to the router and look at the port forwarding page, it still says it's forwarding the http traffic to xxx.xxx.xx.7 ~ even though all http traffic is being sent to xxx.xxx.xxx.8!  I have to reboot the router to get the port forwarding to work properly.  If I leave the device at xxx.xxx.xxx.8 powered off, the router seems to work fine for extended periods.

There are no port forwarding services in the router that reference IP=xxx.xxx.xxx.8 , and it does not appear that the port forwarding problem is related to DHCP.  All devices on my network have a reserved DHCP address based on their MAC.  It does not appear that the spontaneous port forwarding change occurs when when the xxx.xxx.xxx.8 device powers up and gets it's address via DHCP.  I have also deleted the xxx.xxx.xxx.8 device from the DHCP reservation table and simply access the device as needed by referencing it's IP, and xxx.xxx.xxx.8 is outside the range of DHCP assigned addresses, and the spontaneous port redirection still occurs once in a while. Is there a known bug where forwarded ports are sent to the wrong IP address?

Linksys Wireless Router :: Setting Up Port Forwarding On Two E2000
