Trying to set up EA2600 Wireless Router. I follow instructions exactly re connecting cable modem to router. Setup program then searches for network, but at 25% completion it says it can't find the router.I've reset the router via button on bottom and retried setup procedure multiple times without success.
View 5 RepliesI have an HP G60-530US laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I bought a Linksys AE1200 USB Wireless Network Adapter because the laptop stopped recognizing the internal wireless adapter. However, when I use the CD that came with the Linksys adapter to install it, the adapter is not detected. I have tried different USB ports and also power-cycling the router & cable modem & rebooting. Nothing seems to work. I also ran the Setup program on my Gateway DX4860 desktop but the Linksys AE1200 is not detected on the desktop, either.

View 9 Replies View RelatedWe have 5 computers, 2 ipads, 3 iphones. All have been able to use the router until recently. We had a virus in our computer that is hooked up to the router. We formally had a "Linksys" router, now we have "Cisco Linksys e2500" . I had not made the connection that Linksys and Cisco were the same. We had "linksys" deleted from our "program". Some of our devices still receive wifi, so are struggling. Is there a way to down load what I need to do to get the Cisco Linksys e2500 working up to capacity?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Compaq Presario V3015's Internal Wireless Adapter has died so I recently bought an Linksys Expresscard WEC600N to replace it. After installing the software (The Linksys monitor) everything on the program is grayed out except for "exit" which closes the program. After looking at device manager, the adapter isn't even listed their. For some reason, even when just plugging the adapter in after an uninstallation of the software and a restart of the computer, the device never gets detected even when it is clearly on (two blue lights for Power and Link/act). I've tried switching to Windows Wireless Zero connection but under network adapters, it doesn't even show a wireless option, just an LAN one. I'm pretty sure its not so much a hardware issue as it is a software one. Everything works fine except for anything related to wireless capabilities on this laptop.

Long story short, I had to reset it, but I still can't get into it. Somehow I set this router up to act essentially as a repeater, an extension of the wireless network that is "anchored" (not the right word I'm sure) by the wireless router provided to me by my DSL provider. I want to do the same thing once I get this one working again--set it up as an extension of the existing network so I can essentially walk around the house with my iPad and not have to re-log in when passing into a new "zone".

I have reset the Slingbox to factory default settings and run the Sling setup wizard but keep getting told that "No Slingoxes Exist on network". The link light is on on both the router and the Slingbox. Slingbox does not show up in the DHCP host table.
