Netgear Router With 27015 Port - Steam Validation Rejected Error
Apr 27, 2012
I have Counterstrike Scource and am wanting to setup a deticated server. I have a netgear router with 27015 port open and my nat type is open, however it keeps on giving me the "steam validation rejected" error. BTW it works fine on LAN, just not online.
I am having some problem with fowarding some ports. Everytime I try to open a port, specifically 27015 it wont open. I go onto canyouseeme.com and it says there is no route to host. I have a Westell A90-750015-07. All of my firewalls are also turned off.
We inserted GLC-T modules and on Nexus 5548 they are showing SFP validation Failed , as per Cisco doc GLC-T is support . Since we have 28 such modules and all after inserting showing same error. please see the below details. I also try configuring speed and inserting modules but no result ..let me know whether my GLC-T module is supported on Nexus 5548
INMUMFDS1SWCORE01# show module Mod Ports Module-Type Model Status --- ----- -------------------------------- ---------------------- ------------ 1 32 O2 32X10GE/Modular Supervisor N5K-C5548P-SUP active * 2 16 O2 16X10GE Ethernet Module N55-M16P ok 3 0 O2 Daughter Card with L3 ASIC N55-D160L3 ok
Upon checking the logs, I'm seeing a lot of these messages:
*emWeb: Oct 25 14:11:01.345: #LOG-3-Q_IND: spam_lrad.c:10136 Validation of STAT_PAYLOAD failed - AP 00:3a:98:09:4e:d0
Always the same MAC address, which I assume is a Cisco AP trying to join. The output interpreter/message decoder isn't much useful. 5508 Controller running ver 7.3.101.0.
After adding a Cisco e4200 router to my network I'm unable to connect to Steam. I've setup Win 7 to use static IP instead of DHCP and also enabled port forwarding for proper Steam client ports/ranges in the router. Doing an online test, it appears the ports are just not open. With any router I've ever owned, it seems getting port forwarding to work properly is a major ordeal. What am I missing? I have latest firmware. Cable modem does not have built in firewall or router.
after setting up my e4200, I am no longer able to connect to Steam, I instantly get a connection error. I'm told it should work fine with UPNP, and I've even forwarded the proper ports just in case, but I cannot connect. I have latest firmware. Hoping someone else out there has same router and uses Steam.
I attempted to load RVS4000_WRVS4400N_IPS_Signature_v1.50.zip and received an error message "Signature file is not the correct type of version for this device". I have firmware version 1.3.3.5, and and current IPS version 1.42. why IPS v1.5 is rejected?
I was using my internet on my Acer Windows 7 operating system wireless just fine on Monday. I tried to use it on Tuesday and could not connect to the internet wireless any longer. I get an error message next to my network stating ""The settings saved on this computer do not match the requirements of the network"I have never encotured this kind of problem before. I proceeded to call Comcast who did all kinds of trivial beginner troubleshooting such as restart the router, restart the modem turn on and off the computer.
I have a Dell XPS 430 desktop and a Netgear DGN2000 modem/router. My ISP is Zen. The router is connected to the PC by an ethernet cable.I have had no problems accessing the internet for years until a couple of days ago when the monitors on the info bar show a triangle with a yellow exclamation mark. The Windows Diagnose and Repair reports - Error 815. The Broadband Network Connection could not be established because the remote server is not responding. My laptop with a wireless connection to the router as no problem connecting so I assume the router is OK.
I'm connected through the router, a few times a day I cannot open web pages, getting error: Error 105 (net::ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED): Unable to resolve the server's DNS address.Skype continues to work. Here are the results of pinging:

One technician said that this is the providers problem, but I don't think so. When I restart the modem everything works.I have a Netgear WGR614 v9 router.I use ESET 5 security. Btw, connection drops on all computers connected through the router, so it's not my firewall.
I have a Netgear WNR612 wireless router, which worked fine for a few weeks. Then something happened and I can't keep the connection anymore. It happened right after I used iTunes to update my iPhone, perhaps a coincidence, but I'm mentioning that just in case. Internet still works fine with ethernet cable straight from the computer, only the wireless connection doesn't work. This happened about a month ago and I haven't been at home much to fix the problem. I have turned off and unplugged everything for several days at a time while gone. I get a Network Error message saying, Windows has detected an IP address conflict. I have tried restoring the router back to factory settings and reinstalling the wireless card. I have tried changing the IP address settings both in the Network and Sharing Center and the router admin page. What I think I should do is change the IP address in Command Prompt, but when I type "ipconfig /release", it says "No operation can be performed on Wireless Network Connection 2 while it has its media disconnected" and the same for Local Area Connection. I don't understand what this means, because there is a wireless key in my keyboard and there is a white light (not orange) like there should be. Also in the Network and Sharing Center, I can see that the connections are enabled.
Trying to connect to a computer on a client's network. He has a Netgear WGR614v9 router. I talked him through opening port 23 to 192.168.1.200. I have done this many times on other routers and it should have been simple but could not connect. Had him enable ping response so I could ping his router to verify the connection and ping was good. Tried my port scanner and only port 21 is open. Had client verify the port forwarding data and it is correct. Does he need to restart the router to enable port forwarding?
I have for the past few weeks not been able to load any Valve associated website to be more precise Steam website on my pc. Doeesn't matter whether I use IE, CHROME or FIREFOX. There always appears to be a Gate Way timeout error. This all started about a week ago. Yesterday I still had Steam installed on my computer and Steam Store page in Steam would also not load. Any other game website by Valve also doesn't load. THis error always appears:
Gateway Timeout The following error occurred:
A gateway timeout occurred. The server is unreachable. Retry the request. contact the administrator.
So today I checked if its only like that on my computer, so I tried loading Steam on my parents computer and it gave me the same error.
Wondering if any of you guys can help. Been trying to play some games lately, but for the past week I've been getting ""Steam is having trouble connecting to the Steam servers" whenever I try to login to my account.
Never had a problem before. It all started after I rebooted one day and it wouldn't connect. I haven't made any system changes, changed any settings, or installed any new utilities for at least a year. Haven't touched anything on the network either.I'm on Windows XP SP3 with NOD32 and MSE behind a WRT54G2 (wired). No system firewall. So far I've tried:
- Disabling both NOD32 and MSE, and closing all background applications. - Moving the system out from behind the router (direct connection). - Rebooting countless times
Then, I tried uninstalling Steam completely. I made sure all folders are deleted, then even went into the registry and deleted the Steam entries. Once it was gone, I restarted, then reinstalled Steam from scratch. STILL can't get it to connect.
I am trying to set my NETGEAR N150 DGN1000 . I can connect to the router via wireless but no Internet.
Theh INTERNET PORT indicator on the router is goes to OFF mode.
Before I try this I had Internet with the same line with a different router.. I am not too sure what's wrong with this.. Could any one come up with a possible solution..
I just updated the firmware on the WNR1000v3 router. However all the port forwarding configs that were set up previously have become "ghosts". They do not show up on the list nor work, but I cannot add a new entry.
I have been having problems with my router. I have a Net gear N300 v2, but I am not asking for support with said router. Forwarding network traffic from the Internet to a server and then have it properly re-routed. I have never done this sorta thing before, but I want to go into a career in I.T. when I'm older. As a side note, I have already figured out that ditching the router requires to have a software DHCP server, which I am using Windows Server 2008 Data center and it's built in role as DHCP server.
DNS is also configured. The modem a Motorola Surf Board is connected directly to a Cisco Catalyst 2950, and that connects all of the rest of the network, also via a 3Com SUper Stack Hub, and a little 8-port HP Advance Stack J2610A, which connects to all of my wireless AP.
I wanted to reinstall a game I used to play (League of legends) it gave me an HTTP error and told me to check my firewall. My firewall is fine, I don't have one from my antivirus. Also, Steam refuses to connect anymore, sayting it's has and unknown error named eroor:-137. I mailed steam support for this, and they gave me lots and lots of options, but none of them worked.basically, I can still download stuff, but for big games (i.e. League of Legends and DC Universe Online) it connects to a server to 1) download the game and 2) check for updates/patches.
all this is making me believe it has something to do with my ports, but I can't seem to log in into my residential gateway (or whatever it's called)
I am experiencing constant DNS issues page not found errors after about 10 clicks it seems to work, and actually get to the page, sometimes it takes longer or i may have to resete the modem again for my system to work, now i have a computer lan buisness with 10 computers connected to it and the internet speed is 4 mbps, i have called the internet provider they did some test, and the modem seems fine they have changed my modem 3 times for that reason , so i know its not the modem , i have switched cables connected to the modem, i use to own a hub i thought that was the problem, so i bought a NetGear's FS116 switch and the problem persists, i have switched over to different inernet browsers , that didnt work, changed my computers modem to assigne ip addresses , and that didnt woerk, also changed my dns servers from my modem by the ones provided by my service provider , and that didnt i am stuck. i have a 15 ft cable connected from my modem to the switch. and all my computers connected to the switch, the problem seems to be more when i have more then 5 computers running at the same time. i have also switched the 15ft cable and the problem still persists, error not found could me a config with the lan settings or dns error
recently i do some lab about trunking protocol using Layer 3 switch C3560 and layer 2 switch C2960, but i face a problem that i cannot configure trunk port on my C3560 using "switchport mode trunk" command, and after looking for the answer from google i found that i have to "remove" the "auto" mode of C3560 using "switchport mode dynamic desirable" and after that we can enter the "switcport mode trunk" command successfully.
and my question are, whether the "auto" trunk mode in switch layer 3 is a default mode or not? and why i should enter "sw mode dynamic desirable" command before "sw mo trunk" command ?
So the other afternoon we had a freak power outage, my PC was on and connected to a surge protector. So once the power came back on, literally like 5 minutes later, I rebooted my PC and have had Wireless issues ever since. My PC is custom built with a Netgear WG311V3 PCI Wireless card in it. When I boot up, it tells me I am connectied to our wireless network, but no websites will load. I check for wireless networks but my PC tells me none are in range. I have had this issue before so I goto Network Connections and Disable Wireless Network Connection 2, my wireless card, and then when I goto Enable it I get this error: Connection Failed.
I am deploying a Cisco 1841 in place of our basic DSL router.I have an ADSL WIC and FA0/0 connected to our LAN.LAN IP ADDRESS range is 192.168.1. 0/ 24 I have dynamic and static NAT configured. At this point although I have ACL's configured I have NOT implemented them as yet for the following reason. I am unable to recieve inbound SMTP traffic - now know my MX records are correct as this all owrks happily on our basic DSL router. I can send external emails no problem and all internal email works fine.
I am in the process of defaulting the router and programming the barbones to get the link working and see if inbound SMTP works then start building the blocks again.
We are setting up a WLC 7500 for the first time and are having a hard time trying to connect an LAP to the WLC. We have 1042 Access Points.Reason for last unsucessful attempt: to many concurrent ap image downloads
-Last Error Occurred: Lwapp discovery request rejected -Last Error Occurred Reason: Too many concurrent AP image downloads
We only have 1 AP plugged in so far and it does recieve an IP address from DHCP.
I just configure VPN for end users in PIX515e with IOS 8 and get stuck with "Tunnel Rejected: User (msveden) not member of group (VPN-shared), group-lock check failed.". tell me how I add user to my VPN group?
I just put together a new computer. After putting it together I installed Windows 7 64-bit. My problem is that every "https" website I go to fails at its certificate validation. Every browser I use (Firefox 4, Chrome, IE9) warns me that the security certificate failed the validation. If I click "continue anyway" the browser shows a blank page. This happens for every https site. I have tried mail.live.com, mail.google.com, bankofamerica.com, etc. I can't even connect to windows update (which is really bad). The problem is limited to this computer. All my other computers (2 laptops with windows 7 32 bit) connect to websites using https just fine. My computer is freshly installed, but I scanned for spyware/viruses/trojans and came up empty.
We are using ACS v5.2.0.26.3 in 802.1X certificate based authentication. Now, when we added CRL functionality into ACS it fails in CRL validation and gives following error message:
LastErrorMessage=CRL PKI verification failed Certificate Revocation list
We have installed root, device and server certificates from CA, but for management we are still using self-signed certificate.
Question is, which certificate is used when validating downloaded CRL file - one used for EAP-TLS or one used for management interface?
How I can check which certificate ACS server is using for CRL validation?
I want ACS 5 to authenticate the wireless users validating each user with a certificate. The ACS is connected to the AD but, is it possible to do that using user/password from the certificate?, i need to do that with certificate and independant of the AD certificates of each user, so it will be scalable.
Im trying to simulate a switch in Gns3 and i use 16ESW module in a cisco 3700 router. why im getting this record after i try to filter which vlans pass through my trunk port:Router(config-if)#switchport trunk allowed vlan 2,3,4 Command rejected: Bad VLAN allowed list. You have to include all default vlans, e.g. 1-2,1002-1005.
