How do I redirect the visits to a specific homepage (web site) to access a "sub" page in the same domain? Is it possible to use the Hosts file to do this? I want redirect visits to [URL]
I'm attempting to redirect SSL from the base site to a different page on the same SSL site. I want to redirect https://10.4.16.54/* to[URL] . If I enter[URL], site loads, but if I enter simply https://10.4.16.54, it times out. The ssl_sharepoint service is my ssl_proxy_list.
I would like to know whether LMS 4.1 (local server mode) has the ability to relay syslog messages received from devices to an external syslog server? If so, how do I configure such?
From reading the document and going through the LMS 4.1 GUI, it appears that it could receive and forward messages but only between LMS system (ie. multi server mode) as SSL is required.
I have a Cisco 2911 router configured with a couple of VPN tunnels . The issue that I am having is that I cannot access the servers (WEB,EMIL) thru the tunnel . After looking around found out that adding a route-map to my static NAT rule will fix the issue . Once I do that I am able to access the serves thru the VPN but my local machines lose internet access .So I have to delete the access list The issue seems to be with the Access list 110 permit ip [code]
So I have a proxy server in my home that all the computers use to access the internet (XP Pro). I edited the host file on the proxy to redirect traffic for various reasons (ad blocking, etc.) But I have noticed that it doesn't seem to affect the computers that use the proxy. For example one entry in the host file could be 127.0.0.1 abc123.com so that abc123.com would loopback to the localhost. For some reason this isn't working. Is there anyway to get this to work without changing the host file on each individual computer?
I have problem with accessing servers through site-to-site vpn from ASA which makes this site-to-site vpn and has enablerd Clientless VPN.Reason why I need it / What I need to do:ASA 5510 has enabled Clientless VPN and on this portal is allowed users to go to URL of internal servers through bookmars. We are using it when somebody could not access IPSec VPN or is in internet cafe. So this user logs into clientless vpn and click on bookmark to access mail server for exmaple. But there is problem, asa cannot access this server through site-to-site VPN.
Network:Here is quick design of my network.I don't have problem access server in VLAN 159 from VLAN 10 or 100. But I need to be able access servers in Vlan 159 from ASA 5510 which has IP address 192.168.1.4.I have this subnet which ASA belongs in BEFORE-NAT object in same place as VLAN 10, 100 are and in Site-to-Site vpn profile.
I am desperate to make some kind of translation which convert an outside IP Address of our web server to its inside ip address so that requests can be routed internally to the server.
This is what we have: A wireless network with an SSID to serve visitors. We also have an in-house web server which can be accessed internally and externally. We have a ASA 5520 that protects the internal network, including the Web server, and also routes all traffic from the all visitors connected to the public SSID to the outside. The DHCP server for the wireless network for visitors is configured to give the 8.8.8.8 as dns server. The problem with that is that the www.ourwebserver.com is resolved by Google's dns server to the public IP Address of our web server! The traffic then is sent to the outside interface of the ASA 5520. The visitor who wants to access our web server cannot connect!
How can I configure the ASA to route that traffic to our web server with the public ip address to the inside ip address of the web server?
I have got a Cisco router connected to a LAN and to the internet.I was wondering if I could nat https traffic from inside to internet to a local server (Proxy) on a given port for example tcp 8080.
int tunnel0 ip address 192.168.0.1 255.255.255.0 ip nat inside int fa0/1 des internet connexion ip address 41.x.x.x.x 255.255.255.248 ip nat outside ip access-list extended Proxy_Redirect permit tcp 192.168.0.0 0.0.0.255 any eq 443
i'm having trouble establishing a VPN between a TMG Server at our head office and a Cisco 850 series at the remote site, I'm new to Cisco products but I managed to setup an ADSL connection but now I need to setup a VPN connection to our head office Microsoft TMG gateway, I can't seem to get it to connect. I've installed the Cisco Configuration Professional tool to assist, it reports a mismatch between the router configurations.
I've included the running config of the cisco box and the config of the TMG server below, as I can't work out where the mismatch is.
the tunnel is supposed to be an Ipsec tunnel using a pre-shared key - I want to get this up and running before I worry about certificates.
Cisco 850 series running config

I have a requirement to create a site to site vpn tunnel on ASA 5510 from a remote site to my HO, ihave already other site-to-site tunnels are up and running on the ASA.The issue is my remote site has got the network address which falls in one of the subnet used in HO(192.168.10.0/24).My requirement is only My remote site need to accees couple of my servers in HO which is in 192.168.200.0/24 subnet.
We have ordered a pair of Cisco ASA5520 (ASA5520-BUN-K9).Now there is a requirement to terminate site-to-site VPN from remote site. Do we need VPN plus licence for this and how much it cost?
The scenario where a Site to Site VPN tunnel has been established between Site A and Site B. Lan on Site A can ping Lan on Site B. My problem is a Printer behind Site B needs to be accessed by using the WAN IP address of Site A. Also i could not ping the remote lan or printer from the router.
Below are my configure on the Cisco 877 in site A.

cisco products and am struggling getting a VPN going between an ASA 5505 and 5510. I have a VPN created (using the VPN wizward on both) and it shows the VPN is up, but I can't ping the remote site (from either side).
The DNS comes request timed out while pinging and i am unable to browse. But the Same LAN cable is working fine in another pc. I can ping the Gate way. But not able to ping DNS.Local Network is working fine.
We use the RV082 at some our sites. One particular site will not connect to the DNS server but all others will. I've checked every setting I can think of with no joy.
I have ASA 5505, i configured site to site vpn between central site and remote site and is working. Now the problem is we use remote site for troubleshooting purpose, so we need to create a tunnel from remote site to central site. I need to configure such a way that remote site can craete a tunnel to central site, but central site not able to create a tunnel, it just respond to remote site.
i have 2 router asa 5505 with base license i wanna make site to site vpn connection and remote site using vpn client to connect first i have hdsl router with 5 public ip i wanna try it by giving 1 public ip to each router and try the vpn but nothing work?
why my router will not synchronize with an NTP server located an off-site facility; the NTP server is located at the Naval Observatory. I have a Cisco 7200 VXR IOS 12.4 The clock and calendar both are set correctly.
I ran into a very interesting problem that occurred today and I'm trying to figure out why it happened. If it was one ASA 5505 that just required the reboot, then I'd have just chalked it up to a glitch, but when we built a new AD/ DNS server on the main network at the main site and changed the 3 Remote site ASAs to point to the new DNS server in the DHCPD options, none of them could ping any local host names to the DNS server at the main site they were now pointing too, but external host names { URL} all translated and pinged fine.
From a laptop on one of the remote sites, we could ping the new AD/DNS server(192.168.0.3) and the old AD/DNS server(192.168.0.2) and everything else at the main site, and telnet to port 53 showed successful across the Easy VPN from the Remote site to the new server at the main site. When wire shark was added to the new DNS server at the main site, the DNS request and replies for {URL}, for example, came and worked fine, but any requests for local resources never made it to the server from the remote sites.
A reboot of one of the Remote Site ASA's corrected the issue. Then I rebooted the other two remote site ASAs, and now DNS was working fine for everybody. I had also tried clearing the ARP cache on the ASAs before resorting to rebooting them. I also tried rebooting the laptop thinking the local DNS cache needed cleared before resorting to rebooting the ASAs. I'm struggling to understand why external, public host names made it through and resolved from the remote sites to the new server at the main site, but anything local failed before even reaching the new server(The new DNS server could resolve requests made by computers at the main site, but the remote sites that traverse the Easy VPN from the ASAs failed). The new AD/DNS server is the only server configured for DNS for all remote site computers.
Is any of this making sense? I'm wondering if clearing the x late or local host tables would have corrected it without having to reboot. I'm just trying to grasp the understanding here and figure out what happened.
I am trying to set up a site to site ipsec connection. AT site A, I have Vlan's 652-10.55.216.0/24, Vlan653 -10.55.217.0/24, Vlan 654-10.55.217.0/24 and Vlan655-10.55.219.0/24 and at site B, Vlan650-10.55.214.0/24 and Vlan651-10.55.215.0/24.The problem is that I am unable to get any associations when i do a "sh crypto isakmp sa"/"sh crypto ipsec sa" on either router at each site.I am also unable to ping by pluging in a laptop into the site at each site. Laptop at site A is set to access vlan 655 and laptop at site B is set to acess vlan 651. I can ping all the devices from one end to the other.I have turned on debug crypto isakmp, debug crypto ipsec, debug crypto ipsec errors but dont get anything at all as output.I have attached the sh run for each router Cisco (1941/K9) and switch (Catalyst 3750) at each site.
I have an ASA 5525 and need to configure site to site ipsec vpn to 3 peers. I currently have an existing /28 public address from my ISP that is used by other services. Is there a way to use this existing ip range to configure IPSEC tunnels to 3 peers ?
Our Headquarter (asa 5510) is running a site to site vpn connection with a Branch office (router 2811). All remote users are accesing the internet through the VPN and also accesing headquarter file servers.I want to know if there is a way for some remote users to be able to use the vpn for accesing the file servers but to access the internet through the branch office. The rest of the remote users will be still accessing the internet through VPN.
We've just deployed a site-to-site VPN using a 5505 ASA on the client's site and a checkpoint Nokia FW on our site. Everything seems to be fine except that the user's connections to their file shares seem to be intermittently dropping. One minute the connection to the shares is there, next thing it's lost. There is no logic to it because no two users are experiencing issues at the same time, as a matter of fact even on the same PC where a user has access to 3 shares on 3 different servers, one could be showing as connected whereas the other two be dropping. [code]
As you can see the Duplex and Speed are set to auto, I've rectified this since then and I'm keeping a close eye on the output errors, and collisions. However, I'm afraid that this did not rectify the issue and the users are still experiencing intermittent connection dropping to their file shares over the VPN!
I have a request to establish a site to site VPN with a customer. While collecting the information I give them our local network subnet which is a private subnet (192.168.5.0). They asked me if I could give them a public address instead. They can not work with the 192.168.5 subnet. Is this possible?
My side of the VPN is an ASA 5505 running 8.2(2). The other side i believe is a Checkpoint.
I've setup a site to site vpn on an ASA 5510 using ASDM (as I have many times before) and the tunnel appears to be up but I am not able to pass traffic. When I run the packet tracer from my inside network to the remote destination network, it shows that it is blocked by the implicit deny ip any any rule on my inside incoming access list.
