Email Capability From Scanner To Router To Computer?
Oct 20, 2011I am having trouble getting my Ricoh printer/scanner to communicate with the pc. It does not loop back completely without a "check the configuration network." I am not certain if the path is not right or I may be doing something else. I need to get the email function to work with my computer. I am using static ip address to communicate with the devices.

Ive also gone into settings and made sure it is automatically picking up the dns. When i go onto my google chrome is says my dns look up failed.

Sep 22, 2011using virus scanner over the network and this is related to my workplace. a pc with win xp can share all drives (including c:) over the network with another pc with win xp as well. let's say pc1 and pc2 (both with win xp). i can scan pc2 from pc1 once i hv shared all the drives. but for win vista n 7, i found out that it is not possible to share c:...yes, there are some ways to share it but the entire c: cannot be shared. n i also know that c: cannot be shared entirely due to security purposes. but can i bypass this only for virus scanning purpose? i know many will juz ask me to install the anti virus on the infected pc, but if possible i want to scan it over the network. if i hv to scan 20 PCs at the same time i find it easier to do it from a single pc than to install the anti-virus at every single pc.

All users on the network get something between 20% and 60% packet loss, only when this user's laptop is connected. Jun 10, 2012It started happening back in around November, my sister and my computer would start freezing occasionally, slurring the audio into a robotic sound, eventually to come to.It gradually got worse, and I assumed it was a graphics card problem since it would freeze ONLY SOMETIMES and say that the graphics driver stopped working and has recovered. It usually didn't say that, though.Lately though, I noticed that when it would freeze sometimes the internet would go out for some connected devices, such as the Xbox 360. The only computer that was NEVER affected by this is the one connected directly by Ethernet to the Netgear router, (every other device is WiFi.)
Sometimes even, my sister and mine would freeze simultaneously. It was a sort of rare occurrence, though.I very lately started to notice that it would freeze when trying to load internet components with larger amounts of data, such as server console logs, Flash videos, and Soundcloud players. What threw me off is that it would sometimes freeze in programs like FL Studio or Windows Media Player... It's possible I guess that the programs were unrelated and what caused the freeze is SOMETHING sending/receiving corrupt packets.
D-Link DSL 300T - Only One Computer In Network Is Connected
May 12, 2011Earlier today my modem died so I looked around and found an old modem (D-Link DSL-300T) lying around so I decided to use that one instead of purchasing a new one.It always worked great in the past, but when I tried it today I can only find a connection on this computer (garbage computer), the other 2 computers in my network can't connect to the internet, they can't even connect to the network at all.Oh and the router I'm using is a D-Link DIR-100. This computer is running windows XP, so is another one in the network and the one I want the connection to work on is running windows 7.

Nov 5, 2012I am connected to the LAN via ethernet cable, but internet access is terribly slow - cant even browse internet properly (work network uses a proxy to connect to internet - not sure if that is relevant). I would like to remain connected to the LAN via ethernet (to provide easy connection to intranet and mail exchange server, but for outside internet connections, I would like to use a mobile 3g connection.

Dec 28, 2011Well i recently purchased a Linksys e2500 router,so i connect it to my modem and then to my PC, all by Ethernet cable(no wireless) as i want my pc connected by cable, i go through the set up CD and it finishes and says you are now connected to your router but..... not to the internet and it tells me to restart the modem with i have done, i have also tried power cycling modem, router and PC, but i still get the same old problem and when i go in network connections my local area connection says i am connected but it wont let me use the internet. also above when i have been trying to set up the router this "Internet Gateway" pops up in my network connections and it is disabled and whenever i try to enabled it it just says failed.

Internet Slow When External Antenna Connected On Computer
Mar 22, 2011I just realized that my internet is slow when my antenna is on top of my computer. I have a pci card with an external antenna connecting to it. If it's on top of my computer, my internet is slow, but if I move it three feet in front of it, it's fast. This makes me think that my computer is somehow blocking or conflicting with the signal. Is this normal, or is there something I can fix in my computer? Download speeds with the antenna on top are around 0.54Mbps, and if I put it as far away as I can, I get around 20Mbps.
