View 14 RepliesIn my curiosity, when I typed one of my family members, I was so shocked to find that his personal information is right on the websites, as if he gave 'permission' to see his privacy, i.e., his age, marital status, even his home address. when I typed all of my family members, their personal informations are also on websites as if they all gave 'permission' to see their privacy.
It's 'privacy invasion' to see all of our family personal informations.
My question is; How to block websites from viewing all of my family members' personal informations?
So facebook and tumblr has been blocked on my computer and ive tried everything to unblock it. its been blocked through my mtom/adsl cause i cant access facebook and tumblr on internet explorer either. I've tried going to command promt and typing in different codes except it doesnt work.how to unblock it on firefox (newest version) ?

I want to block 10.0.0.1 and 192.168.1.1 but my router says invalid domain so if will the guess network be able to go to page 10.0.0.1 and 192.168.1.1 even though I don't block it? View 1 Replies View RelatedI am currently running a Windows 2003 Server Edition and I have an issue, we run a small piece of software for controlling the nights takings which connects to the tills database on the network.This piece of software is not password protected and is held in a safe, however it has come to our attention that an employee may have taken possession of a copy of this application and we need to block the application been run on the network.Now this is were it gets difficult, I know to stop the application I could just use the Software Restriction Policy with Hash Rules which would solve that. However the problem is that sometimes people WILL need to run this software on the network and not get blocked.These people may not have their own accounts etc so I am trying to workout a way that we can allow someone to bypass the software restriction policy with a password prompt, is this possible or is their another way around this issue?

I've double checked with Active Directory, and he is a member of both groups.
This person SHOULD have access to Job searches/ and Restaurants,but receives a "content blocked" message on his browser.It appears to me that the settings in Sonicwall are correct, as well with AD member groups.
I am trying to connect to a Security-enabled wireless netowork. I have the key. My problem is that I can't seem to figure out how to enter it. When I try to connect I open the "view available networks"window. I see the network name and it shows a strong signal (all 5 green bars).

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a home network that consists of two routers. First I have my cable modem that is connected to an Apple Airport Extreme Base Station. I tend to use that as the 'n' network for my computers so any devices using n networking connect to that.I then have a cable that goes from my Apple Airport Extreme Base Station to a Linksys E3000 router. I tend to use that as my g router and connect many devices that only have g wi-fi to it.Here is the problem:Because of a couple children that have iPod Touches and Macbooks I like to have them connect to the E3000 since it has great website blocking. I wish the Apple Base Station had website blocking but as far as I see it doesn't. Also, this website blocking has worked great since I installed the router but here is the problem. They frequently have to print items and they're unable to print since it won't find the printer.
The printer that I have is connected by Ethernet cable to the Apple Base Station It appears I have two ways of connecting the E3000 router to my Base Station. The way I currently have it connected is the E3000 is connected to the Apple router through the Internet port on the back. By doing this I get full internet and website blocking but I am unable to print through it. Yet if I connect it to the Apple router through one of it's numbered (1-4) ports, I still get internet, I'm able to print, but yet the website blocking does not work.Since the Apple base station doesn't have website blocking as far as I know the only way I can think of getting around this is to replace my Apple Base Station with another E3000 but I don't want to do this unless I have to.
All of my clients are accessing internet through Netgear wireless router. From the router's "Block Sites" option, I've inserted all of the IP address of facebook & this was working fine.
