I'am using ASA 5510 and I try to understand how PAT is working.I want to add a Mail Server in the LAN and a webmail using port 3000 on the server. ( webmail must be reachable from the WAN)This is my Configuration :actually LAN users access internet using NAT with one global IP ( 194.x.x.69) which is the ASA WAN interface.

I need to forward port 3000 and port 25 from outside to inside.For example, from the WAN : [URL] must be redirect toward 192.168.1.6:3000 . What is the Correct Configuration ? And what about the Inside/Outside Traffic,Is there any configuration to add ?
Only trying to have the mail server reachable via the secondary ISP link if the primary ISP link goes out. The public MX records with priority markings should make it so any outside hosts tries the first ISP address then the second ISP address if the first is unavailable. I would be using object tracking to control the default gateway in the ASA. I'm just a bit fuzzy on the NAT with a dual ISP config on single box.It shouldn't happen but... if traffic comes in on ISP2 while ISP1 is still up (and the current default gate) that traffic should return out the ISP2 interface (using the ISP2 address and avoiding asymmetric routing) since there already an existing connection present inside the ASA. Any server initiated traffic would still use the current default gateway defined via object tracking on the ASA.

Everything works properly from the outside, but if I get my Mail server (on port 443) from the internal network (192.168.1.xxx) there 'verse. This configuration is called Nat inside-to-inside is done by default by some SOHO routers(such as the TPLINK from 25 euros) but Cisco did not succeed. I search on the internet for 2 days without a get nowhere. PS: I have a Cisco 1801 router. (or 1941 as another router).

I have a TL-MR3420 router placed in a remote location. The internet connection is via 3G, and since the telco is shifting the IP every 24 hours, the router is configured with DDNS from no-ip.org. This is working OK most days, but sometimes the DNS fails to update. To be able to trobleshoot it, I am trying to make my router send a mail with the logfile every hour. This function seems to be easy and out-of-the-box, but it doesn't wiork. Whenever I try to mail the log I get the error message "Fail to Connect the mail server.".
It is not possible to enter another SMTP-port, so I asume the standard port 25 (like this thread). Most ISP-mail services require SSL/TLS and/or use an alternative port, so I have made my own server. This server is visible on the Internet, and I (and others) are able to connect and send mails using smtp on port 25. But, still my remote TL-MR3420 keep saying "Fail to Connect the mail server.". I have tried nearly everything, including disabling authentication and giving the IP-address of the smtp server directly instead of the URL.
My mail server is not in my network, it's over internet elsewhere.After installing the ASA 5510, i can not get my mails any more.

When they try to re sent it some times later, message is sent without problem.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI run several game servers here locally.... Counter Strike Source, Unreal Tournament 3, Call of Duty 4, Call of Duty 4 GunGame, Garry's Mod.
They all run in their own VM's. All VM's are accessable on wireless via any other protocol RDP and UT3 web admin. None of the games show up in the in game server browsers in the LAN. If you connect wired to the gig switch they show up.
If you go into the console of a game and connect directly to the IP of the machine you can enter the game. There is no problem connecting with the server only that it doesnt show up in the browser on wireless
Obviously my wireless router is funky. WRT160N with DDWRT. Currently setup as an AP.
Just installed a RV042 with dual wan connections. Would like to make the WAN 2 (new cable modem as well) the primary connection over WAN1 (DSL), however whenever I switch from WAN1 to WAN2 in Smark Link set up, our email server will not send mail out, even though nothing is blocking the connection.

So I took the IP addresses from the redundant switch, with that I found MAC addresses from the access switch.But when I tried to see to which ports these MAC are addresses are connected to, multiple MAC addresses are resolving to the same switchport. like 5 MAC's are showing to 1 port and other 3 MAC's are showing to other port, like this there are many. All these MAC's belong to virtual servers.

Since switching over, when I periodically look at email on Live Mail, I frequently get a "Windows Live Mail" message saying "Your server unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity." I have never received this message from either one of the previous routers - LinkSys, Netgear.

Instead of just Mynetwork1, I have tried everything i can think of to connect to the second one but nothing seems to work.
I have a client with a cisco 1841 router with a static public ip. He has 3 dvr's he wanted to acces from the internet and we opened the ports for the dvr's ip's. The issue were having is that only the first ip that we opened shows the port opened and works ok, the other 2 ip with their ports show closed.
View 17 Replies View RelatedI am trying to configure a Cisco 871 router.There are 3 servers on my network that need static public IPs but also still need to communicate on the local network.I have given my WAN interface the first IP in the block and set up PAT for the rest of the computers on the network with that IP which is working fine. Next I set up static NAT rules for the servers translating 3 of the remaining public IPs to the internal addresses of the servers.I can access those servers internally using the public IPs but not from outside the network. A traceroute from outside the network gets dropped when it gets to my ISP.I've never configured more than one static ip for a network before and i know i've just missed a step here. Do I also need to use static routes? Will that update the next hop's routing table? Do I need to make an ACL to permit any host to the servers? If so, do I use the internal or external address? We have a public IP range from our ISP and we have multiple servers behind our router. One of the servers need large ranges of ports open so I have ended up trying to use a ‘rotary’ nat pool which works fine but I cannot get the other servers to NAT correctly on their ports. It seems the rotary takes over.

I have a FTP server at my local network and i have natted the private IP with my Public IP using default FTP Port ( 21) , now i have created Diffrent FTP Account in my server using port 2121 and i am able to login using the private IP with port 2121 , now i want to nat with my public IP with port 2121 and i failed,
1) 125.x.x.x --------- 10.10.1.x : 21 ( Able to access from external network)
2) 125.x.x.x ---------- 10.10.1.x : 2121 ( not able to login from external network and able to login internally )

Can I then create serverfarm test_production and put both rserver1 and rserver2 in it? Then play around with the sticky and load balancing settings as a test without affecting the production serverfarm.
I would like to setup multiple DMZs for our hosting servers. Currently there is a single DMZ in which our reverse proxy servers are connected using a public IP address. The idea is to have the reverse proxy forward the request from the Internet to the hosting servers in another DMZ. The purpose of the hosting DMZ is to protect it from the outside as well as from the inside. There will also be a development DMZ where we can test content prior to going live with the website.
Network: We currently have two Cisco 6509's (Core) with a FWSM in each running active/stanby configuration. There is a 10Gb Fiber connection between each Cisco switch to two Cisco 4948s (Top of Rack Switches). I can either setup OSPF or Trunking between the core and top of rack switches. The Cisco 4948s will support VLAN 7 (hosting DMZ 10.0.7.0/24) and VLAN 8 (development DMZ 10.0.8.0/24). Each webserver is connected to both Cisco 4948 for redundancy.
Question: If I have a single interface connecting both VLANs 7 and 8, either through Layer 2 or 3, then how can pass both DMZ traffic to the appropriate servers? The reason why the servers are in the same rack connected to the same two switches is that we are using Blade Servers and VMWare.

I have already set up a dynamic IP address which points to my router at home. In my home network I have multiple PC's that I would like to access from the internet. I would like to achieve this without needing to change my port forwarding rules on my router each time...
My thoughts are that I use a single dynamic IP address pointed to my router. My router then forwards to a server with some sort of software that can then forward to the correct PC based on the host name.
So I have 3 domains set up all pointing to the router's IP address:
dest1.domain.com -> 41.xxx.xxx.45
dest2.domain.com -> 41.xxx.xxx.45
dest3.domain.com -> 41.xxx.xxx.45
The router is not smart enough to redirect by host name, so it will just forward everything to 10.0.0.20 The server based at 10.0.0.20 must then have software to now redetermine the target based on the host name. The rules would be set up as follows:
dest1.domain.com -> 10.0.0.22
dest2.domain.com -> 10.0.0.24
dest3.domain.com -> 10.0.0.26
Our Exchange 2010 hub servers run multiple services/ports: smtp, www, pop3,135, 143, https, 993, 995, 6001,6002,6003,60200,60201,8400, and 8402 what is the best way of balancing these servers so that if only one of the services failed on a server, it would switch only the failed service to remaining servers. At present I only use an smtp probe, so as log as that sevrice is running the server is marked good.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a WPA2/AES network with PEAP MsChapv2 authentication. I have 2 ACS servers for authentication. The problem I have is dropped clients. Both ACS servers are setup identical. The database replcation has been preformed.A series of 10 clients connects wirelessly and they are all successful. ACS server 1 is the primary and ACS server 2 is the backup. We verified that the 10 users authenticated to the primary ACS. My time out to reauth is 30 minutes on the WiSM. 10 minutes into the test we took down the Primary server. This should have had no impact on the clients. 5 minutes later the clients lost thier authentication and were dropped from the network. They were able to reconnect by shutting down thier wireless client and reconnecting. The authentications were seen on the Backup ACS server.on a test of falling back to the primary the same thing happened again to the clients.

View 5 Replies View RelatedWindows 2003 R2 Server machine cannot be pinged, not XP? I'm running a highly modified version of Windows 2003 R2 to make use of an old PC. It connects beautifully to a Verizon router (I can browse the Internet), but I can't figure out how to share folders on my network. I have a Macbook and Win7 machine and both cannot see this old PC on the network. I have tried to ping the old PC from my Win7 machine, and it will only timeout.
