Redirecting a Domain to a IP:Port I host game servers for friends and strangers alike, but i'd like to make it easier for them all and give them dedicated IPs. Right now I include domain redirecting, but to connect to their server, they have to put in "example.com:xxxxx", x meaning their servers dedicated port. Is there any way that I can redirect a domain directly to "IP:Port"?

We have a public IP range from our ISP and we have multiple servers behind our router. One of the servers need large ranges of ports open so I have ended up trying to use a ‘rotary’ nat pool which works fine but I cannot get the other servers to NAT correctly on their ports. It seems the rotary takes over.

What the most cost and time effective way to have an ip request return with another ip address from outside the WAN of the router.Specifically want to have an application request for example 192.168.1.121 and have 173.194.43.41 respond and communicate with the application instead. i'm trying to setup a local DNS server to manage small office local-only domain names for our servers. i have the DNS working properly (resolving local machines and using the ISP dns if it can't). so i put the DNS server ip into the "Static DNS 1" field of the router settings. the other 2 static dns fields are empty.the problem is that the router is still using the ISP dns server as the primary and my local dns server as the secondary. i verify this in two places. first, if i go to the "status" tab, DNS 1 shows the ISP server while DNS 2 shows my local DNS server. secondly, if i connect to the wireless device with a linux-based machine, the /etc/resolv.conf file shows the nameserver ips in the same incorrect order.

I have created a domain name [URL] I have used zoneedit's free DNS server as I cant be bothered setting one up for what I want to do. Now I have my external ip "eg.eg.eg.eg" which i entered into the configuration on zoneedit. I then typed www.mydomainname.net.au into google chrome and I am prompted for my Thompson gateway (my modem/Router) username and password. This I enter and i find my self being able to configure the settings for my router over the internet from my domain name....this makes me go huh? At some point the DNS name for one of the servers got messed up and they stopped talking to each other even though they are on fixed IPs. The DNS problem has been fixed, but they haven't started communicating again. While the DNS was messed up the domain controllers kept running a different copy of the network. The DFS stopped replicating, the users lists fragmented and the network separated into two "shadow domains" with the same name. DC1 says it is healthy, but it claims DC2 is offline. DC2 claims it is healthy but DC1 is offline. I don't even know where to begin repairing this rift.

(domain1, domain2, domain3) We currently have to specify which domain each user belongs to (ie, domain1user) in order to connect. We would like to only have to enter the user name without the prefix, (ie, user1) and have ACS automatically check each domain for a match. Is this possible with ACS 5.2? View 2 Replies View RelatedWe having ACS version 5.2 0.26 with Active/Standby. We need to integrate active directory with ACS. Domain name given by Server team was as xyzcompy.local. When I tried to resolve the same domain name I got five servers ip address against the same domain name. however we given the ip reachability to only for two servers. We we try to save we get error saying that "Can not resolve the network address".
So my questions are;
- does ACS should have ip reachaibility to all five servers
- does the username/password we entered in the ACS should have domain admin rights?.
- the given AD is configured with windows NTP [URL] but when we configured ACS as windows NTP it was taking local server as active NTP..?
When we check the ACS logs, we saw the following error;

I attached some screen print which saw the error and output of nslookup for the domain name.
I'm running several game and file servers via a dynamic IP, which I unfortunately cannot change to a static connection for several reasons. I've solved this by using No-IP, which is a Dynamic IP resolution service. This solved the first part of my problem - I can give people IP's for their websites, such as myfreemusic.sytes.net and so forth, but they all HAVE to append their ports to the url - i.e.
site1.sytes.net:90
site2.sytes.net:91
My main problem right now is the game servers - I'm hosting games that default host to 25565, and though I can change the ports the server hosts from, I must give those who want to connect the ports at the end of their urls, i.e.
server1.sytes.net:25566
server2.sytes.net:25567
I know DNS is essentially agnostic when it comes to ports, so no solution there. And I don't think the game (Minecraft vis-a-vis bukkit) supports SRV records, and even if they did, I'd have no idea how to configure them. How can I resolve static urls redirecting to a dynamic IP by pointing them to ports?
To simplify the question -
How can I make server1.sytes.net resolve to port 25566, and server2.sytes.net resolve to port 25567 when the default port is set to 25565?
Our company uses a commercial copier monitoring package called FMAudit to obtain meter readings from our clients' copiers, and it uses a feed to send the readings back to us. We have used port 90 for this purpose.Due to a recent server crash and emergency reconfiguration of our network, we have moved our FMAudit central server from in-house to a hosted service, with of course a different external IP address.
Without interfering with our other systems, is there a way to redirect JUST PORT 90 to another IP address external to our own? I don't care if it has to happen at the router or server level. We are using Server 2003 and a Cisco 887VAW.
Windows IIS server configured behind a Cisco ASA 5540 listening on port 443 currently. Access-list and static translation configured. I have been ask to redirect all port 80 calls to port 443 for this web site only at the firewall. I have suggested moving it behind our content switch with negative results. Application: Comcast
Port From: 888
Protocol: Both
IP: 192.168.100.1
Port To: 80
I understand that his modem admin page is now available from the internet. He said his friend set this up to "modem", but I don't see any advantage of having this done. At this point what are the other advantages of forwarding such ports?Another key note: When the port forwarding was disabled, suddenly the power cycle issues stopped.
I recently bought SG-300 28P to create the VLAN. My network hs 3 subnet 192.168.1.0, 192.168.2.0 and 192.168.3.0.My main net work is 192.168.1.0. I want to divide it to VLAN to eliminate the boardcast storm; especially from the domain 192.168.3.0
But I want all the devices from 192.168.1.0 to access other subnet.
I need to redirect all http and https traffic from one source in a dmz network, to port tcp/8080 on a proxy server on the inside network.
The source device doesn't handle proxying very well, so i've been advised to redirect the tcp/80 and tcp/443 ports to tcp/8080 as it passes through the firewall.
Scenario is thus:

I've configured a static NAT redirect using the following command: static (inside,dmz) tcp 172.31.255.110 www 10.44.132.28 8080 netmask 255.255.255.255 0 0
When I try to add the next command of: static (inside,dmz) tcp 172.31.255.110 443 10.44.132.28 8080 netmask 255.255.255.255 0 0
I get the following error: ERROR: duplicate of existing static
Is there a work around for this at all or am I stuck with the limitations of the software?
