I recently purchased an E3200 and have successfully setup a USB printer from my desktop machine. However, I can't seem to figure out how to access that same printer through my laptop. The laptop is able to connect to the internet and the appropriate printer drivers were previously loaded.

Recently I read somewhere that HP Printers have one of the highest cost of replacement ink cartridges existing. I need to buy my wife a printer. the one she has died just before I built her current PC and that was three years ago. I, myself, have an HP all-in-one printer, scanner and copier. We also have a Verizon FIOS web provider and their router, but I am not sure if I can make the web LAN share the existing printer. which new printer to get or how to set up sharing my printe.

I have a clean install of Window 7 64 bit Home on PC my printer is installed on. (It was previously running XP Pro) Printer drivers have been updated. I want to share Printer with Notebook running Windows 8 64 bit Home. When I added PC to Homegroup it accepted files but the printer was not listed even though I checked to add printer. Printer shows up under Network and can be seen on Notebook but can't be opened. Was getting a 0x8007035 error and now just get "window couldn't connect to the printer, check name, turned on, correct address" can't figure it out, even added ip addresses to let firewall except even though. I can see and open all files, and folders on both machines from both Homegroup and Network.

I recently bought a Asus DSL N13 router and one of the points that made me purchase it was the ability to plug a printer in via USB and all users on the network could share this printer. I double checked that my printer (Cannon IP4300) was compatible and its on the list here [URL]. I've set up the router and this work fine, both my desktop (running windows 7 64 bit) and my laptop (running vista 32 bit) can access the router and connect to the internet fine, both via ethernet cable and over wireless connection.
However I've been banging my head against a wall with regards to sharing the printer. I can connect the printer to the router and in the router configuration there is a tab for the printer server and this see's my printer (Cannon IP4300). However when i try to add a new printer on either my desktop or laptop i cannot see the printer, whatever i try!

We've got two computers in the Homegroup on our network -- call them computers A and B. Computer A (info below) is running Windows 7 Professional, Computer B is running Windows 7 Home Premium. Computer A has an ethernet cable to the router, Computer B is connecting via WiFi.
The problem is: Computer A can access files and the printer on Computer B, but Computer B cannot access Computer A. When I'm on B and attempt to add A's printer, I get a message that:
"file and print sharing device A is online but isn't responding to connection attempts"
In the HomeGroup window on A, all sharing options (pictures, documents, music, printers, videos) are checked.

I have a hardwired network with 10 workstations plugged into switch. Printer plugged into switch. Server plugged into switch.Switch plugged into router.Router DHCPs except printer is static IP. All have access to internet through server then out through router.Have added another workstation that is not allowed access to the network (on purpose) but needs to be able to use the printer. The workstation is not under our security for virus control, etc so I don't want it in the server. But it needs access to internet and access to printer. Should I create a separate subnet from the router and keep the workstation separate there? If so, then how can I keep the printer accessible to both subnets?

I have an Canon MP 530 that works great for my home office network, but right now it's being shared off one of my PCs. I would like to network it like my HP LaserJet P2055dn, but not just printing, also fax and scan (via Adobe Acrobat Pro). Does this product really exist.
About two years ago I bought a Linksys device that turned out to be a $100 mistake, but now I'm really needing this sharing functionality.

What i would like to do from here is plug a cable from my wired lan to the internet plug on the wireless router to create a wireless network with internet in the house. The problem seems to be that dhcp cannot give the wireless router an ip address

We just got a Linksys e2500 router for Christmas. We have a desktop computer running Windows XP using a cable connection to the router and a laptop running Windows 7 using a wireless connection. Both connect to the internet fine, but we can't get them to connect to each other for file sharing. I have them both set to the same work group name, but they don't appear on each others' lists of network connections. They can ping each other OK, but when trying to access shared files, the laptop only shows the laptop and the router, and the desktop only shows the desktop and the router. I tried the Cisco Connect Easy Setup wizard, using a USB key to share settings between the 2 computers with no luck.
I realize that you can't use the Windows 7 "home group" feature when connecting to an XP machine, but shouldn't there be some way to do it? Or is this caused by the fact that one connection is wired and the other is wireless? Do they both need to be the same for this to work, or is there a way to connect the wired and wireless networks together?

I replaced a WRT54G with an E2500. The wired PC is running XP SP3, the wireless PCs are (1) Win 7 and (1) XP SP3. Print sharing works fine, but all file shares on the "host" PC are failing. I ran "net share" and turned off all shared directories on the "host" and the same on the wireless PCs, then rebooted all. The Win7 PC sees the single directory I set up to share, but when I try to open it, I get a message that the directory is inaccessible (possibly because of permissions) and that "There is not enough server storage available to process the command".Wireless XP PC gives the same error, but can access the printer, and sees the directory share on the "host".

Just bought router and installed. I cannot create share in Storage settings in Advanced settings. I hit Create Share and it brings up the dialog box where I enter the display name. Share entire partition is checked already. I save settings and I see the box going to the form where you assign the Group roles, but then the box disappears and closes. All I see is the original Storage setting page with the Create Share button still there.I tried this on Win 7 using both IE8 and Chrome browsers.

I have got a Cisco EA4500 recently installed and it's great. I was very excited about the USB part as I attached a WD hdd to share the media. All good apart for two issues for which I can't seem to find a solution:
1. Transfer speed: Playing a movie over wi fi from the attached HDD works fine. However, if I try to copy the avi file from my mac to the attached hdd or vice versa the transfer speed is around 1 - 2 Mb / sec. How I can improve the speed?
2. Can't write files on the HTF+ partition
My hdd has two partitions: 1 x NTFS and 1 x HTF+.When I try to copy a movie from my mac through the Wi Fi on the HDD it would not let me on the HTF+ partition although I logged it as an Admin. I say I don't have the priviledges. However, on the NTFS partition works fine. Full r/w priviledges seem to work only on NTFS. Is there an issue with mac partitions?
