I have been on my computer all day and I was just watching hulu plus when I lost my internet. When I used the windows troubleshoot it told me my dns server isnt responding and I cannot.figure.out.how to fix it. Im using windows.7.and.a NetGear router.

The CSM modules are running version 4.2(14)These CSM modules are configured to load-balance a number of vservers via serverfarms, each serverfarm containing multiple real servers.

The company is facing a problem with what seems to be related to return code checking. Every once in a while a server will suddenly not receive any traffic for 5 minutes. This always occurs right after the server has sent a HTTP 503 return code. However we cannot see in the CSM logs that the CSM module has actually disabled the real server. For other serverfarms which are running regular HTTP and/or ICMP health checks to real servers we can clearly see in the CSM logs when a real server has been temporarily disabled due to health check failures.
The return code checking is set to disable a real server for 300 seconds after the CSM has received five HTTP 503 responses from the real server. If we check the real server log however we cannot find more than that single 503 return code right before the server stops seeing any incoming traffic unless we move back at least hours in time.I have tried to figure out what time frame those 5 return codes must be received within for them to count towards the maximum allowed return codes, but nowhere in no documentation can I find any information about this time frame.For all I know the CSM could keep track of every incoming 503 forever, until the maximum of five 503's is reached, and then the server is disabled for 300 seconds.
on ASA 5540 , i configured the logging setup as following :
log in to the internal buffer : buffer size 1048576 bytes
Then i save the buffer to FTP server to save the log messages in continuously way everything was working fine but suddenly sending the ftp traffic to FTP traffic has stopped suddenly before in the live log viewer it was showing when ASA throws the ftp traffic to the ftp server but this stopped suddenly nothing has changed in the ftp server setting (same username and password and the connectivity is there) sending logging traffic to the ftp server came back just when i reboot the ASA.but this is not solution.
I'm a an old disabled guy who uses a hand-me-down Dell Insprion 1150 laptop running Windows XP from bed (where I spend the better part of my days these days) connected via a Microsoft Windows Network to a couple of old hand-me-down PCs in the kitchen, one running Win 2K and the other running XP.The network worked fine for a while, but then I started having problems with the PC running XP. Now when I'm working from the laptop in bed, and click on an icon representing a drive or folder or file on the PC running XP, it takes 30 seconds or longer to make the connection. And all during that time the mouse pointer on the laptop has turned into that danged hourglass. My connection to the PC running Win 2K works fine. Also, at the same time this network slowdown with the XP PC started occurring, that same PC running XP starting stalling or freezing or hanging up on shutdown. So I'm wondering if these two problems are related.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm stuck with their crappy wireless which has, up until now, worked perfectly. Yesterday in the middle of browsing however, I ceased to be able to connect to any websites. I'm still connected to their network, but I just don't have internet access. My laptop connects flawlessly and I've contacted the front desk and there's no issues on their end, so it must be something with my desktop specifically. I've gone through pretty much every solution I've come across. I've reset winsock, flushed DNS, released/renewed IP, uninstalled/ reinstalled my wireless adapter's drivers, system restored in case a Windows update burned something, tried manually setting IP/DNS settings..None of it has worked. I'm about to buy a new adapter just to rule that out as well. [code]

Last week the boss and I went out of town for some off site training leaving a single employee in charge of holding down the fort. When we came back we ran into a whole slew of problems not the least of which being that one of our graphics computers doesn't seem to want to recognize the work network anymore. It seems like the employee who we left (who, of course, "didn't touch anything") must have disconnected the computer from the network and started a new one as it is connected to one simply entitled "network". The issue I'm running into now is that when I check the network list the work network is not showing up at all. I've checked and I can ping the other computers on that network, they are all connected to the same network adapter, I just can't seem to get this one computer onto the preexisting work network.

Also i was sharing internet connection.But one day it suddenly stopped working. I changed IP address and tried all that i could do. Nothing worked.Now when I ping a PC from another it replies only once out of four and if I try to ping one more time , reply never comes.When i reboot both PC's and scan using angry IP, it shows other pc only once.
View 1 Replies View RelatedYesterday while at work our VPN suddenly dropped. We have a site to site VPN that is connected by a Sonicwall TZ180 and a Netgear FVS388 on the other. I power cycled the SMC Comcast modems on both ends, along with the Firewalls too no avail. The odd thing is both the TZ180 and the FVS388 IPSec has been established, but for whatever reason I can not ping either local host and no data is being sent or received. I verified no settings had been changed on either modems or firewalls. This setup has been up and going for a year plus with zero issues.

-Plugging my cord into another jack in my dorm room
-Using my roommate's ethernet cord
-Taking my cord and laptop to different areas on campus (library, other dorms, etc) that use different wired networks, and attempted connection there Worth noting is that I can still connect to wireless internet just fine (however, my dorm does not have wireless, making things very difficult for me).My ethernet adapter is a Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller. It was just updated today, in hopes that maybe it was a driver issue (Prior, it was a Realtek 8168C/8111C, whatever that means). All drivers have green checks next to them and appear to be working. I am running Windows XP Service Pack 3. My laptop is a custom-built CyberPower PC. I have done a Malwarebytes Scan,SuperAntiSpyware Scan, and Avast Anti-Virus scan, and have turned up no malware or viruses.
I'm not the sole user of this computer, I woke up a few hours ago and my roommate tells me that the internet suddenly slowed down to a ridiculous speed, we haven't come close to exceeding the data usage from our provider. We use DSL broadband, not wireless. Some pages partially load, some pages do not load at all and some load completely but after a really long time. When I open a youtube vid a fraction of it loads before it stops, then when I click to skip a bit of the video the same problem happens (but sometimes the video completely loads...). I only use chrome but the speed is the same on IE and firefox as well.
Maybe a year or two ago, a computer guy installed all the antivirus things and programs necessary when we previously had problems. Not sure what it is....but an ESET Nod32 frame thing appears every time the computer starts for a few seconds so i assume (?) that this is our antivirus. Again, pretty much retarded computer-wise here haha. I find ESET nod32 in the start bar to see if maybe i can click it or run a scan or something but after I click it nothing happens at all....Not sure how relevant this is but this is the system info recommended by this website:

My laptop was able to connect to this network in the place i am renting in.Then one fine day, it just stopped and gave me a Yellow triangle with Exclamation mark.Says that i have limited connectivity and unable to identify network.I have tried everything i could by the looks of it, other thangetting my hands on the router/modem thingi (it is not mine and belongs to the landlady+her son).I have even tried to connect using a usb wifi thngi(dlink) but still the same problem.I am able to connect to that same network via my iphone 4 and i am able to connect my laptop to the internet via that same iphone 4 using the iphone as a wifi hotspot(pdanet).So i use the phone to catch the wifi and broadcast to my laptop.I have a second laptop that can also connect to the wifi just fine.
my net is connecting so late after a sudden hang in windows, and sometimes showing Error 718..It has become very often...I asked my friends (same connection), they are not having any problem from the ISP... what's wrong? :/ Few minutes ago, it was showing error 718, i had to restart, and then it connected (still slowly).

I have an ADSL connection through Canal Digitaal, which I believe uses the KPN network. My Zyxel 2601 modem/router is usually accessed at 192.168.1.254. The following devices are connected to it: two iphones, a Macbook Air, an Apple TV 3 and a Mac Pro.all devices except the Mac Pro. Looking closer I found in their respective settings that they connect to 192.168. 2.254. All have somehow been assigned IP addresses on the 192.168.2.xxx network. The Mac Pro remains on the 192.168.1.xxx network.Going to 192.168.2.254 launches a login page for a KPN router called Arcadyan ARV7519 which is on ANOTHER SSID than my wifi network. Nevertheless, all my devices say they are connected to my network SSID but with IP addresses in the 192.168.2.xxx range.Does it have to to with the channels used by the respective routers or is there some phishing or such going on? What can I do to ensure that my devices stay on my Zyxel network?Weirdly, the SSID of the Arcadyan router doesn't normally show up in my list of nearby networks. It only shows sometimes.Also - in case it is relevant - when I try to access 192.168.1.254 from my Mac Pro I am able to log in, meaning I reach the welcome page of my Zyxel router though it takes a very long time for it to load.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIve been using my Sony Vaio laptop (windows 7) to connect to my uni halls internet connection by ethernet cable (and keysurf login) for months with no problems, now all of a sudden my ethernet cable is not being recognised. its not a problem with my connection or cable as other people's laptops work on it. and its not a problem with my hardware as my laptop works in other people's rooms. its just the combination of my laptop and my connection. My friend did something along the lines of resetting the IP address, but not really sure what he did. So i've done a full recovery of my computer.

But my ping is steady and doesnt fluctuate, so say I would normally have 70ms to a game server I would now get 100 or so. I have tried all the standard things such as as resetting my router but to no avail. Also nobody else is on the connection only me. Normally I would ping google and get a 19-21ms response time and now im getting about 36-38 screenshot below.

I have a 3mbps Cable connection, always worked fine and fast, but since the start of the month I've been getting, at most, 60kb/s of download speed (I have a wired connection to the router). Speed tests register everything as fine, except for the download speed, which is really unstable and shoots all over the place, going from 1MB/s to 0 in some instances. I thought it was the ISP being bad since we're having a lot of problems with this provider where I work, but got tired of it and decided to do some troubleshooting myself. When I connect directly to the modem, without the router, I get the same fast speeds I used to. I tried rebooting everything, I tried resetting the router to factory defaults, but nothing seemed to change that. DL speed is always below 60KB/s and if something is downloading at that speed, a single page takes a minute to load.

There are three other laptops in the house which can still detect that wireless network and connect to it except that one now. I have restarted that laptop and the network reappeared and it connected. View 14 Replies View RelatedI normally have fairly speedy cable internet (12 MBPS) and it has never caused me any issues in the past. My ISP is a company called Ygnition (not the best). My problem is as follows: I was using my internet on Tuesday to play an online game (SW:TOR) and I walked away from my computer for about 30 minutes, and when I returned I had been disconnected from the game and the internet appeared to be non-functional. I've now discovered that the internet IS CONNECTED but it is INCREDIBLY slow. It takes at least ten minutes to load the google homepage and websites like speedtest.net are unusable. I obviously cannot use the internet with any efficiency, much less log into an online game.

I turned on my computer one day and it gave me a error saying the card was not inserted. I powered the computer off/on a couple times, while trying different things, and it suddenly worked. The next day, it had the same issue again.
I tried reinstalling the card but it still had the same issue. I bought a new Netgear WN311B network card, same issue.
I plugged in a borrowed Linksys card, worked like a charm.
One thing I noticed was when I reinstalled the netgear card, it was numbered at the end of the in the device manager; Netgear #1, netgear #2, etc.. everytime I reinstalled it, the number would go up.
I booted into Windows 7 today after not using it for a while, and I saw "some network drives were unavailable" in the corner of my screen. I disconnected the drives, and used map network drive to add a new one. It sees the server, but when I get to "Enter Network Password" every username/password combination results in "Logon failure: Unknown user name or bad password." There are only 2 user names and passwords that are used on my various computers in the house, and no combination of them worked. What's really strange is that the mac server is set for everyone to have read and write privileges.

To watch a simple 1 minute long video on youtube I will have to wait about 10 minutes before it is fully loaded. It takes about a minute to load an internet page and it is not just my computer, it is also happening on all other wireless devices and wired (3 laptops, 4 phones, ipad, ipos etc.)

So Today, a few hours ago i decided i was going to clean things up a bit on the computer, so i ran raxco perfectdisk defragger, disk cleanup, ccleaner/ccleaner registry fix a couple of times and windows defrag. So after that, the computer was running amazingly fast, but the internet was suddenly really slow, and youtube videos especially are taking a very long staggering time to load up, when usually my internet connection is average, i have unlimited downloads on my contract so it cant be that and its the temporary internet files and cache either, just cleared it all.
