I get connected to my internet(wireless ASUS router) but still i'm not able to connect to any web pages, but programs like utorrent and yahoo messenger are working fine. When I trouble shoot, it says that the problem is with the DNS server. [code]
I am not able to connect to any webpages in normal mode, even after restarting i still have the same problem [However it works in safe mode with networking]. The network connections show that it is connected and the signal strength is excellent. I then have to keep restarting the laptop like 3 to 4 times and it works. Its kind of frustrating to keep doing this all the time and besides i am scared by restarting the laptop so many time can harm it.
I can't connect to the internet through Google chrome or explorer, pages simply won't load.
-can't ping the pc from other pc but can ping the modem - internet shows connected and receiving data - all connections tight - internet/wireless modem working fine working fine with my other pc/laptop - all other programs on the pc seem to work fine - I have changed no settings on the pc since I last used it and the internet - I had not used the internet in approx 2 months on the problem pc - I tried turning off the firewall. - running XP
Few days ago I started to get the following error message while trying to connect to the internet using Chrome and IE:"Unable to connect to the proxy server..."I don't have a proxy server configured - nothing is checked in the LAN settings page.In Firefox I don't have that problem - it seems it gets the proxy configuration from elsewhere.
In my device I am able to browse through & connect to my HOME wifi network ; But after connecting it says 'No Internet Access'.I tried connecting with my SONY Bluray , iphone , ipad , laptops -- everywhere same story.I am able to plug in the ethernet cable directly from modem & able to connect to network.I am not able to open the http://192.168.0.1 -- ( When I am plugged in the modem directly)
Following are my router details
FCCID - KA2DIR601A1 IC : 4216A-IR601 H/W Ver:A1 F.W Ver:1.00 NA
I am using a Netgear DG834N modem/router that we moved onto our second phoneline (homeline) that was previously installed on our (now closed down) home office phoneline. We are using the same equipment, provider and provider plan but now we are having major connecting issues. About every second web page will not open. If you refresh, sometimes it will load other times you get the "IE cannot connect to.." This is becoming increasingly frustrating. We run both wireless and hardwired PCs and laptops and use IE, firefox and/or Safari. We run Kaspersky or bitdefender, windows 7 and XP. We can watch re-runs of Tv shows and you-tube no worries. It is the connecting in the first place.
IE9 can't display any webpages. Troubleshooting shows that it can't detect my proxy settings. However, I don't have proxy settings/server checked anywhere. Moreover, Pale Moon is able to connect to the internet.I've tried these so far with no luck:
1. Resetting IE 2. Reinstalling IE 3. Removing idstore to see if it'd work -- nope 4. going to cmd and using dnsflush, ipv4/6 reset, winsock reset, ipconfig release 5. Reinstalling adapter 6. Removing firewalls 7. SFC scanner

The combination of the two line are successful and the internet is working with double speed. I can access all router from my PC but sometimes I have hard time accessing the modem pages. I am not sure the reason but I thing that when I request 192.168.2.1. the request might be sometimes taken to m2 modem , that's why the modem m1 is not found.
They all just decide to not load pages fairly often. It happens on my netbook and PC, has been going on for like a year. Formatted each pc at least once since it started. It's really annoying. It's been awhile since I used firefox so I dont remember that error message but Chrome gives me the sad face with the x's in it's eyes and says oops I cannot load the page. On pages that auto refresh it happens ALOT. Once I click the refresh button once or twice it loads it fine. My HTC EVO doesnt have any trouble with the internet when I have it connected to my router. The operating system is Windows 7.
I am having a major issue, system wide with web pages timing out or loading slowly - we are using a Sonicwall as our content filter and firewall and to assign DHCP, we are a windows environment with both Server 2003 and 2008. Here are the results of a few tracert commands I ran.
C:Userscaleb>tracert Google

I have Imac 21.5 inch 2011 Oct series. with 2.5 GHZ , 8 gig ram.My problem is that for some reasons sometimes I cannot load into simple web pages, I get error message like " Server not found "Firefox can't find the server at [URL]But this website and the others work fine on my laptop which runs vista. I assume it is sort of network problem or a router problem, I've connected Ethernet cable directly to my Imac but still, same situation either with FireFox or Safari.
I'm trying to fix a weird web browsing problem with our Acer Aspire One netbook running XP SP3 I can't get IE or Safari to load web pages but I am connected to our D-Link wireless router and can ping our ISP. Today Windows even downloaded, installed the latest updates and asked to reboot. So I know there is an internet connection and it's working just fine.I have:installed and run AVG and then uninstalled it disabled windows firewall uninstalled everything that wasn't necessary checked the browsers aren't working offline checked for proxy settings in both safari and IE completely reset IE to all of its default settings done a clean boot according to the directions on the MS site url... The log from ipconfig/all and ping google.com are below. [code]
Let me start with what the problem is. Some pages like google open very fast while some takes a lot of time and sometimes do not load at all.I tried pinging certain websites along with mygame website mabinogi.nexon.net and the request timed out. I tried a few solutions
1) Switched browser and it didn't seem to work (Even the client I use for the game Mabinogi disconnects every 5 to 10 mins)
2) Tried changing the DNS to OpenDNS and it still didn't work
3) Tried using network on safe mode with networking and still I got the same result. That is some pages take a lot of time while others load soon.
I connected wired modem to pc and internet pages wont open and it wont work and once i opened my laptop and turned on wifi and it connected to internet through wife and internet is coming flawelessy and its not working on my pc at same time
But I seem to have come across a problem that my lack of networking experience wont allow me to fix myself. For some reason for the past few days my net has been acting strange. For instance I can be logged into an MMO but when I try to open chrome or any other browser and do a quick Google search I get DNS errors or just "cannot connect to (website name). Yet i am still online perfectly fine Via MSN,SKYPE,Online games. It doesn't happen all the time just seems to be intermittent. I could be looking at a page and then it will all of a sudden loose connection and it wont load any further.[CODE]
I can use MSN and SKYPE and play games in normal mode but i cant browse web pages properly. They are insanely slow or not working at all. I tried to run in safe mode and everything seems to be fine in there. I tried opera, ie, chrome, mozilla. I saw some post that telling people to run hijack and send the log file so i am sending the log file.[CODE]
I am having a problem with my computer and the internet. I can connect fine and pull up pages but after a while the pages will stop loading. Sometimes it is within a few minutes of using the internet or sometimes it will go a few hours. When I check my connection it shows that I am connected. I have tried troubleshooting, updating IE, trying firefox. Nothing works.
Sometimes they load after restarting computer but if you close browser and try open it again they wont load most of the time.Steam has also stopped working and freezes at part where its trying to connect to account. Also "internet" symbol and bottom left corner says two different things at same time:
Network Internet Connection
Network No Internet Connection
Problem has gotten worse by day. First one restart would fix problem but now steam won't work and if you get pages to load after closing browser you need to restart computer couple of times before pages are loading again.
I have a wireless router that has other computers that connect with no problems. my laptop says i'm connected to wifi but i can't pull up any web pages. i was told it might be my network settings?
I'm having problems loading web pages. It's inky on one laptop as other devices and pcs work. The laptop in question is running windows 7 and I haven't made any substantial changes to it as of late. The network centre says I'm connected to the router with full bars. When I use chrome it comes up with a dns lookup failed error, IE7 just says cannot display, when I click diagnose nothing comes up. So far I have changed the dns server addresses to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 under internet protocol version 4. This worked until restarting the laptop. I've also typed, under advice, something in the cmd box for dns flush
[code] I had a new wireless DSL router installed on the network. The router recognizes both the laptop and printer and I can print documents from the laptop fine. I cannot print an accessed webpage from any browser (Firefox, Chrome or IE).
I am trying to fix my mycomputer, which seems to ok except that it cannot connect to the internet. The connection is wired and works fine (my another computer, next to my computer works well). I have tried another wire connection at local cyber cafe, it worked fine there.
I just signed up for Time Warner - Road Runner internet service. I am currently hardwired via ethernet to the new cable modem (arris cm820) while I wait for my wireless router to arrive. The internet appears to be working fine (good speed), however, it stalls without fail every 3 minutes. It will freeze and no pages will open (FYI, it does not open a "you are not connected to the internet" page, it simply just sits there trying to load any and all pages). After about 5 minutes, the pages will suddenly load and the internet will work fine for another 3 minutes. Then, it will freeze all over again. Rinse and repeat. When this happens, the modem shows no physical signs of disconnection (all lights are on as normal) and network diagnostics on the mac shows that that the ethernet is still connected as well.I tried calling Time Warner and all they could say is that it "looks fine from our end, watch it for 24 hours and call back." So basically they knew nothing.
Since yesterday, nearly every time I load a web page it either doesn't stop loading or sometimes doesn't even load at all. At first I thought that the problem was just with Chrome, but I've since tried Firefox and Explorer and get the same issue. I've tried scanning for viruses, malware and even ran Boostspeed to see if it will solve the problem, but nothing has worked.
I don't know why this has happened all of a sudden, I've not made any significant changes or installed anything new so I'm stumped. I have the fastest fiber optic package my ISP has, so it isn't down to not having enough bandwidth. Can I try resetting my router with the pinhole at the back, or will that cause me to lose settings, which I won't be able to restore ,and not be able to connect to the internet at all? (I know the routers password)
I'm on a wired business network. Some of the machines are Windows 7 and some are XP Pro, but all of us are having issues connecting to web pages, especially pages with lots of pictures. If you refresh it a few times, it may pop up. Some don't ever come up, like weather.com. The server has the same issue, even if you connect it directly to the router.
I am having trouble with the internet on my HP laptop.. I am positive it is connected to the internet, yet pages won't load.. when I troubleshoot it says no problems detected
My computer had a filter on it that used a proxy server. The company (called Familink) went out of business. They provided an application for removing the filter, but it did not work, and the filter was never removed. I believe when the filter was installed, it modified the registry to prevent internet browsing unless the proxy was active. Now, since the company is out of business, there is no way to use the proxy, and I cannot browse the internet at all. I can still connect to secure (https://) sites just fine, but not any other channel. It is not a problem with the ISP, because I can browse the internet just fine on the same computer using linux. It just does not work with windows. When running a diagnostic test, I get error 0x2751, or "WSAEHOSTUNREACH"
IE and Firefox both refused to load my homepage (google) or any other page in my bookmarks. Uninstalled and reinstalled both, even going back a couple of versions and still nothing. I know I'm connected as my iPhone works fine. With this in mind, I tried opening up safari to see what that would do and to my supprise, it works fine, bit slow but still, at least it works. So now I defiantly know that the Internet is working.
I actually have a query regarding ip addresses. We know that every domain name basically translates to set of 4 integers (in case of IPv4) which is basically the address of a website. But when we navigate to different pages of the same website, then do all of them have the same IP address?
