The combination of the two line are successful and the internet is working with double speed. I can access all router from my PC but sometimes I have hard time accessing the modem pages. I am not sure the reason but I thing that when I request 192.168.2.1. the request might be sometimes taken to m2 modem , that's why the modem m1 is not found.

if I can enter their main page, I cannot enter individual sections. I will get this "This webpage is not available" error.The thing is that, both forums have been running smoothly for others but not me.Few days ago, the situation wasn't so bad. But when I using my ISP Proxy Address I can only access one of the 2 forums only. Hence, to access the other one, I would have to disable my ISP Proxy Address,Now, I can't. Even if I use Google DNS, I also cannot access the forums at all,Is my network screwed up ? But if it was screwed up, how come I can access to other forums but not these 2 ?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI would like to be able to access my DSL Modem's http setup screens from my networked computers via my DIR-655 (rev B) router - but I do not know how to get the router to route to the WAN port.
At first, I had my DSL Modem's LAN IP at 192.168.0.1 and my DIR-655 at 192.168.1.1 and the rest of my home network at 192.168.1.xxx; because I had read on a forum that having the modem on a different subnet prevented potential routing problems. When I pointed my web browser to 192.168.0.1 - it would just timeout (I kind of expected that).
Now (willing to try anything), I have my DSL Modem's LAN IP at 192.168.0.2 and my DIR-655 at 192.168.0.1 and the rest of my home network at 192.168.0.xxx (DHCP range is set to assign hosts from 64 to 254). When I point my web browser to 192.168.0.2 - it still just times out.
The DSL Modem is setup in transparent bridge mode. And everything else is working well with the home network.
How can I get the DIR-655 to pass/route my http connection to the DSL modem?
The first time I tried to connect to a new secured wireless network, I was prompted to a WPA key but didn't have it to hand so clicked away. Now when I click on any secured network that is showing up as in range, I get an error message saying Windows cannot connect and the selected network may be out of range.
I can connect to an unsecured network and to the desired network via ethernet cable. Secured WiFi was working fine when I was at home but I'm now in a different country, don't know if that could affect it somehow.

Three computers, all running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, are members of a Homegroup that functioned perfectly for more than a year until Tuesday of this week. On Tuesday, I installed Windows updates and also updated from Norton 360 v5 to v6.Computer A and B don't have password protected logins to Windows; Computer C is password protected. Until Tuesday, A and B have never been required to enter a password to access shared files and folders on C. Computer A still communicates fine in both directions with B and C, without having to enter C's Windows login credentials. B can be accessed by C, but when B attempts to access the C libraries that are shared by C to the Homegroup, the appropriate shared folders are shown (Documents, Pictures, etc.), but instead of their usual icons, the icons look like this: url... and if I try to click on them, I am prompted for a Network Password like this: url... The name following "Enter your network password to connect to:" is the name of C, and the "Domain" shown below the password block is the name of B. (Domains aren't even possible with Home Premium, are they?)
If I enter C's username and password I can access C from B, but upon rebooting B it starts all over again, even if I click "Remember my credentials." Sometimes I don't get the prompt and instead am told that I don't have permission to view
I changed my router from Belkin F5D 7633-4 (G) to Belkin F5D 8636-4 v2 (N) on the 7633 I was able to set up virtual server page and access my CCTV cameras remotely with no problem but on the 8636 with the same info into virtual servers page I get "No 1 WAN address is invalid".The format of the page is slightly different the 7633 required "inbound Port" number to be put in twice in different boxes side by side and the same with "Private Port".The 8636 has only one box to enter the port number under each heading.

In the past, I had a PPTP server running behind a NAT and I used Pass Through to get external clients (Macs) to connect to my local LAN. But now I would like to use the Cisco Router's VPN capabilities to set up VPN and shut down the PPTP server in my LAN.I have a couple of fixed IP addresses that end up on this router, wit ISP-based 'technical' domain names (e.g. foo.static.isp.com) with reverse lookup, so using those, I should be able to connect to my RV220W from the outside.

They have wireless printers, iMacs, pc laptops and iPhone 4S's, all connecting without any problems. Recently, they got an iPhone5 and it will not connect to their home wireless automatically, they have to re-enter the password each time. They've tested their iPhone 5 on other networks and they do not have to re-enter the password. Apple and ATT are blaming the router. I do not live near them and I'm going to have to facilitate them remotely. At this point, I believe their router is configured with WPA2, but I can't be sure. Which configuration will work with the iPhone 5, as well as their other, older, devices that have worked for 4 years

I set WPA 2 level security on my WRT54GS wireless router and then went to access the router (set up as an access point) with the WPC54G ver 2 adapter on a Thinkpad T22, it says I have WEP encryption and I cannot enter the passphrase I used for the router. It does not let me select AES. It says to pick AES or TKIP, but TKIP is the only choice.

It consistently outputs: "String failed to match token pattern at '^' marker." - always the carat is at the first character in whatever password I input. I've ensured passwords I input meet the conditions of "password strength-check" and I have also disabled this feature and repeated with numerous passwords to no effect.
I tired to upgrade the flash memory on my 871. I have tired to send single break and removing the flash card to drop the 871 to rommon. but no luck, all i get is the below error. When I go to the license page in the router, there is a link to renew, but that just takes me to the website to enter the new key code, then receive an activation code. There is not howver any link to enter the activation code. I assume that once the license actually expires, the activation link will then show up, but there must be a way to get to this page ahead of time.

I we manually replace "cisco6a19c4" with 1.1.1.1 it works as it should, the login page appears, we login and can access the internet.We have tested and disabled web-auth on the ssid an everything works, we can directly go out on the internet, DNS works without any problems. I use an internet network via wifi that require username and password. The router for wifi network in my place and i connect my cisco(linksys wrt320n) to the router. Every time i want to connect to internet i have to enter my username and password.I try to configure my cisco modem but there is no result. Should I take this to mean after the first time it won't prompt them again for a password? I was wondering If my roommate wants to use my internet account if she can use the guest account every time without a password or not.
