Apr 4, 2012I upgrade to a Flash 32mbs memory stick, as I reboot the 2600 Cisco router, it appear in the ROMMON mode, nonetheless, I followed some wrong procedure by changing components on the ROMMON command line. however now the router reboot or start with symbol only V2V2v2a, and I can no longer enter the ROMMON Mode or key anything in. I have a copy of the IOS on my TFTP server.

Sep 14, 2011I just received a Cisco Aironet 1130 AG wi-fi router to configure and when I entered the router through console, I am not able to get into config mode. It says:

Oct 17, 2012I am in the process of deploying 3502i APs. This site has 2 - 5508 WLCs both running Software version 7.0.220.0 and 2 - 4402 WLCs both running the same version of software as the 5508s. All of the APs that I have installed so far have joined the controller and I can associate to them and access the network. When the APs first are connected to the switch they go through the 'normal' boot up with the LED changing colors - white, red, green, blue (not necessarily in that order). Once the AP has completed its boot sequence the LED goes out and remains NOT lit.
This is happening to most but not all of the APs. This is the first time I have deployed 3502s - previous experience is with 1142s and 1242s and the LED does not do this with them.
I can, through the CLI, turn the LED on but it is then ALWAYS blue, even if a device is NOT associated to it.
I do not want to leave them off because the account will believe they have a 'dead' AP and with them always blue they cannot properly troubleshoot using the LED.

Jan 27, 2011On a brand new computer with Windows 7, & new Linksys E2000 router that worked great unsecured, with SSID still broadcast (and computer detects it), the OS never offers a place to enter the network key. There seems to be no place to enter the appropriate key!

Nov 8, 2012Using Cisco 1811W with IOS 15.1(4)M5. FE0 and FE1 are connected to the internet via Billion ADSL2+ modems operating in bridged mode. Both lines are similar so I'll only discuss FE0 from this point on.Local subnet is 192.168.128.0/24 with router on 192.168.128.1 as default gateway. Modem on FE0 has static LAN IP of 192.168.128.2 and when plugged into the switch on the LAN side, the web interface can be accessed at that IP address. Unplug the modem from the switch and plug it into FE0 and it now works as desired providing access from the router to the internet but the web interface is no longer accessable at 192.168.128.2
I tried adding a static route "ip route 192.168.128.2 255.255.255.255 FastEthernet 0" and also "ip route 192.168.128.2 255.255.255.255 Dialer 1" Neither worked and presumably it isn't that straight forward. Possibly NAT or other routing configuration required.Although there isn't much to configure when in bridged mode, I mostly want this setup so I can look at the ADSL connection status and for the modem to write messages to syslog (works when plugged into switch on LAN side), or SNMP access.

Vlan 900 (10.0.9.254 /24)
Now, the management interface is listening on all interfaces (IPs). But I would like to configure the switch to only listen on 10.0.9.254. What I need to configure or whether it is possible?
Linksys Wireless Router :: E2500 Web Interface Doesn't Work In Bridge Mode
Jan 10, 2012I recently bought a Cisco E2500 for work, and after setting the router to Bridge Mode, I am unable to access the router web interface. I tried both the old IP address (192.168.1.1) and the IP address that I entered when I was configuring Bridge mode, but I couldn't get either to work. I have always tried resetting the switch to factory defaults and trying again to make sure I didn't type anything wrong, but to no avail. The wireless and everything works as it should, I just can't get back into the router to change any of my settings.

Scans: Scanned for virus using Microsoft Securty Essential, Malwarebytes and Spybot. There were viruses but they are cleaned now.
Router: I show I am connected to the router. I have unplugged and reset the router.
NIC: I have reset the NIC, shows NIC is working properly
Drivers: Most recent drivers
Firewall/Security: have shut down and tested the internet
CMD: can ping google and others
CMD: reset TCP/IP stack
and many others.

She has an emachine with windows 7 that won't browse the internet even though it appears to be connected. The internet works fine in safe mode. She didn't have any antivirus software (in fact, she doesn't have that many programs at all) so I downloaded malware bytes and the scan came back clean.She has Hughesnet (the satellite people) as her ISP and she says that the problem started after they upgraded her modem.I'm a bit stumped as to what the problem could be, since all the google searches I did on the topic seemed to be some kind of problem with antivirus software (having two conflicting, or some kind of wonky settings) or a virus, neither of which seems to be the case.

Sep 26, 2012The first time I tried to connect to a new secured wireless network, I was prompted to a WPA key but didn't have it to hand so clicked away. Now when I click on any secured network that is showing up as in range, I get an error message saying Windows cannot connect and the selected network may be out of range.
I can connect to an unsecured network and to the desired network via ethernet cable. Secured WiFi was working fine when I was at home but I'm now in a different country, don't know if that could affect it somehow.

Each router has one 3550 switch connected to each FA0/0 inteface. The issue is that Everything can be pinged except my windows 7 PC connected to the R1 LAN. Everything else can be pinged from any other device. I checked the PC gateway configuration, disabled the firewall and checked my switch configuration! Is their something that I need to change in Windows?
