Jun 24, 2011I have used a few hours today for a friend of us who is here visiting hoping that I will be able to fix her HP laptop.Checked the cmd -> ipconfig and noticed that the default gateway is blank, and it says no connection for the various connections below it.I have tried resetting the WINSOCK entries to installation defaults: netsh winsock reset catalog.Network card: Atheros AR5009. But even when I use ethernet cable it still does not work.I try the various repar and diagnosis but it is still not working.

When I play online either wireless or wired from the Netgear modem I have major connection issue.However, if I disconnect from the netgear modem and connect from the Zyxel directly to the ps3 I have zero problems.

Jan 2, 2013I've bought a second hand Dell Mini 910 and when I tried to get online it kept saying to change the settings on Wireless Zero Configuration (WZC). I goggled it and checked the box in Network Connections. It allow Windows to configure my wireless network connections and I run Wireless Zero Configuration and selected Automatic. It will now pick up connections and allows me to connect but when I go into Internet Explorer still no joy so I've gone into Internet Options and LAN settings and clicked to Automatically detect settings but still no joy, I also have to do the above each blooming time I restart the net book. I've tried IE and Google Chrome and I've run diagnostics and they said to check with XP help etc.
1. Complete Internet Repair tool.
2. Fan bar.
3. Mini Toolbox.
4. Uploaded a folder from forum and dragged to system32 folder/
5. Searched for hidden file Ancillary Function Driver for Winsock to delete it but it wasn't there.
6. Entered a CMD prompt I was advised to do.
7. Set up a new user account and deleted the other user account and contents.
8. Downloaded and Run Winsock XP Fix
9. Downloaded Unknown Device Identifier
10. Re run Fan bar

Sep 7, 2012I have an EA2700 running latest firmware 1.1.38.138827. It is using Cisco Connect Cloud. I am unable to access the DHCP Reservations link under Connectivity/ Local Network. When I click on it, nothing happens. I've tried multiple browsers including IE 10 (Windows 8 RTM), Firefox 15, and Chrome 21. I also tried on a Windows 7 machine with IE 9 and the link doesn't work on that either except that it shows a box that says Invalid Character when I click on the DHCP Reservations link. I see no invalid characters on the screen. Any workaround other than downgrading the firmware or assigning static IPs on individual PCs?Also, on an unrelated note, where is the Dynanic DNS configuration on the Cisco Connect Cloud?

Apr 22, 2012i'm trying to setup a local DNS server to manage small office local-only domain names for our servers. i have the DNS working properly (resolving local machines and using the ISP dns if it can't). so i put the DNS server ip into the "Static DNS 1" field of the router settings. the other 2 static dns fields are empty.the problem is that the router is still using the ISP dns server as the primary and my local dns server as the secondary. i verify this in two places. first, if i go to the "status" tab, DNS 1 shows the ISP server while DNS 2 shows my local DNS server. secondly, if i connect to the wireless device with a linux-based machine, the /etc/resolv.conf file shows the nameserver ips in the same incorrect order.

Jan 5, 2013I am trying to connect my RV110W from my home office to our office IPSec router. I have a dynamic IP address and am using DDNS, therefore the RV110W local endpoint needs to be configured with my FQDN, not the IP address as this will change.
On page 100 the manual states
Step 4 -
• Local WAN (Internet) IP Address—Enter the public IP address or domain name of the local endpoint (Cisco RV110W).
This option is not available in my router - I am running firmware 1.2.0.9
