View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an EA2700 running latest firmware 1.1.38.138827. It is using Cisco Connect Cloud. I am unable to access the DHCP Reservations link under Connectivity/ Local Network. When I click on it, nothing happens. I've tried multiple browsers including IE 10 (Windows 8 RTM), Firefox 15, and Chrome 21. I also tried on a Windows 7 machine with IE 9 and the link doesn't work on that either except that it shows a box that says Invalid Character when I click on the DHCP Reservations link. I see no invalid characters on the screen. Any workaround other than downgrading the firmware or assigning static IPs on individual PCs?Also, on an unrelated note, where is the Dynanic DNS configuration on the Cisco Connect Cloud?

Further, I can't access the router through a browser - 192.168.0.1 results in a "Firefox cannot connect" message. I've tried resetting the DNS to no avail. I'm typing via cell phone and it's annoying, but I'm willing to try about anything.

Under Network and Sharing Center, it says: Unidentified network (Public network) Access: Local only Connection: Wireless Network Connection (perfectv) Under Internet Options, Connections , it shows the following connection: T-Mobile US Standard Modem When I try using the Windows Network Diagnostics, it keeps coming back with the options that havent worked. The options are: - Plug a cable into the network adapter Local Area Connection - Automatically get new IP settings for the network adapter Wireless Network Connection - A problem with your network router or broadband modem might be preventing an Internet connection Note: I am always able to connect to the internet wherever free wi-fi is available. If a password is required all I need is to obtain it and enter it without making any changes in the system. This is the only time Ive had issues getting online, even though I have the password.

I work remotely for my company through citrix access gateway and can open/access the internet from within the session but any attempt from a browser/program outside of the session times out...I am thinking this is blocked on purpose for productivity reasons, however I want to be able to access the internet from outside of the session so that accessing personal sites for example, gmail, won't be tracked by my company.Would it be possible to run a virtual machine and change IP addresses so access within the machine runs independently of my session?

It never says not connected though...it always says connected and excellent signal strength but when it won't access internet I can look at my modem/router and tell by the lights its not working even though it says connected. This time even though I reset everything like normal I still can't access internet. I thought it might have been my router so I went and bought a new one and still nothing. Doesn't work wireless or through local connection. Both say connected but nothing. When I do a diagnostic I get the DNS 0x2afc and HTTP 12007 errors. Both computers won't connect so I'm thinking it has to do with my actual router settings or modem.Both Windows XP and Windows 7 laptops won't work.
View 11 Replies View RelatedThis router was just purchased this past week. I have 1 laptop, 1 desktop, and 1 netbook that is connecting to this (along with various smartphones). Set it all up according to the booklet, and ran into some trouble. When connecting through wireless, I only have "Local only" on the older laptop and desktop PC, but full internet access through the smartphones and the netbook. But, when I connect through LAN with the laptop, I have internet connection (only through LAN, not wireless). I suspect this also occurs on the PC, but the two are no where near each other to attempt. I installed the latest firmware version to no avail, and had done a full reset on the router and reinstalled it.

One with Windows Vista and the other one with Windows XP. Both the same problem. There is a wireless connection with excellent signal strength but no internet access. I have a LAN and a DMZ and an internet connection. I am using one of the internet connection IPs to host a HTTP service on a server in my DMZ. (its the same interface as my internet connenction but a different IP to the one used for internet connectivity)
so say my LAN is 192.168.1.x
and my DMZ is 172.168.1.x
I can access DMZ from Lan and vice versa. when i try to access the public IP (or URL) from a pc in my LAN i get nothing.
I have enabled DNS rewrite (doctoring) but it is still not working. the HTTP service is available from other sites.
I configure for our office site to site VPN project. Now I configured already Site to site vpn between ASA 5510 and 1841 router.

1) In branch LAN , they can access HQ LAN & resource , but cannot access internet. I didn't configure NAT on PH Router
2) Can I access internet from BRANCH LAN through HQ LAN to INTERNET. Or Can I access Internet from Branch LAN from PH Router directly while access to VPN to HQ LAN ?
3) In Branch Site , hard phone cannot work but soft phone on PC can call to HQ. Hard phone IP are same in Remote Network (172.16.1.0/24 ) . Is it problem ? how can I configure separately ?

It succesfully connects to a wireless network, I can see the name of it, but after connecting my laptop is displaying "Unidentified network", below the network name. Also, I don't have Internet access. In the task bar, my wireless icon has an exclamation mark, in a yellow triangle. I had a problem with client computer unable to connect to internet. the system is connected wirelessly and the signal strength ok. i tried it with another broswer, the same thing too. But when i used static ip addressing it was ok. this is our dns and dhcp address: 192.168.3.11 and the default gateway. but when i pinged the default gateway it way replying. using ipconfig /all:192.168.3.6 which is the peplink router switch it did show default gateway. and we are using dhcp in our organisation. The client has its IP address set automatically by the HOMENET wireless router, along with a manually set gateway address to route internet signals through the host computer rather through the router. I am new to Windows 7 and have not been able to set up the client to see or share files between the host and client when connected by wireless. When connected by a LAN connection to the router, I can see both computers and share files between them, but have not been able to connect to the internet. The Win 7 machine can connect directly to RESNET and access the internet that way but the incoming signal averages about 45% which is far below the level needed for acceptable use.
