Jan 4, 2011I have tplink router wr941nd. it was working fine but i when tried to use it again after some months i encountered this strange problem in which i am unable to connect to the router through its lan ports where has i can access the router through wlan i have tried reinstalling the firmware i have even installed dd wrt on it but i am unable to access it through the lan port.

Nov 13, 2012I have a TP-Link wireless router which we have always been able to connect to the router with these laptops. My sister has come over to use our internet, which has worked before on her laptop, but now all of a sudden she can't connect to our router, it won't even allow her to type in the password it just says Windows can't connect to the network. I then tried one of our other laptop and after much battling it also refuses to connect to the router. eventually it did, but it still can't connect to the internet.I sat on the phone for about a hour with our network provider (I am from South Africa), and after trying many things, it still won't work. The guy said that there is nothing more to try.

I have configured the acess point on wisp client router mode and wan type to pppoe gave the username and pwd..Now i want to share internet wirelessly. now my question is that can i connect the aces point to wan port of the wirless router to share internet wirlessly? Because i have seen the instruction figure in tplink access router where they have shown that u can connect it with with unmanage able switch to share it to wired lan.i want to ask can wirless works to share internet if i use wireless router to access point.

Jan 13, 2013I had this problem for 3 months now, at random times I get no connection and the LAN led 1 in my router (which I am connected to) just keep blinking very fast, ADSL and ACT leds are just on. I tried to troubleshoot the problem and it detected 2 problems: "default gateway is not available" and "local area connection doesn't have a valid IP". even when it says that it is fixed, seconds later the problem is still there (sometimes it gives me one problem only). I tried many solution on the forum including reseting the router, disabling the laptop's wireless modem (I'm on a laptop) and even trying ipconfig/release - ipconfig/renew. everything is up to date and I update my antivirus (and it has auto update enabled). here are my specs:
Broadband connection: DSL
Router Make/Model: TP-LINK TP-8840
Anti-virus: Avira free anti-virus

Oct 9, 2012have been trying to access 192.168.1.1 TPLINK Model TD-w8950ND configurations to ensure settings are correct and check password etc.
Have been unable to, I used to access it immediately, but for some reason, now I can;t after changing laptops. Not impressed. May have to reset laptop to factory settings as last resort. Don't know.

Feb 28, 2011I'm trying to connect a non-wireless enabled pc to my virginmedia network by using a tp-link ta-wa500g router in client mode. The pc connects to the router via ethernet fine, and i can access the router admin page etc., but the router doesn't seem talk wirelessly to the virgin box. it finds it and everything, but i can't access the internet at all. i've tried removing the password, resetting everything, I've upgraded to the latest firmware, but have come to a bit of a dead end.

I followed the set-up instructions to the T but to no avail. I cannot find anything online about these two devices being incompatable. Do I purchase a new modem? Sep 12, 2012I've got a v1 E1000. Lately when I turn on one of my computers, or attempt to connect with my Motorola Xoom tablet it will show connected but I will not have internet access. Initially it will show that I have internet access but not work, then after about 1-2 minutes my PCs will show "No Internet access" for about 2-3 minutes, then it will show "Internet Acess" again and still not load. After that, in about 1-3 minutes the internet will start working and work as good as ever until I disconnect (manually or by turning off my computer) then connect again; the process described avove happens again.

Sep 1, 2011i want to block all internet access on all my computers from the time range of 9 PM to 8 PM. Yes, that gives 1 hour of internet access per day. However, it seems that there are certain rules of the router that won't let me do this. It seems I can't make 2 different policies for PC's within the same IP range (192.168.1.0 to 192.168.1.254) , it gives me the error: "The values you entered are invalid. Please try again."every time I try to do so. And when I try to give the time range from 9 PM to 8 PM it gives an error stating that the end time must be bigger than start time. I am using the WRT54GL with firmware v4.30.7.

May 13, 2011I had a problem with client computer unable to connect to internet. the system is connected wirelessly and the signal strength ok. i tried it with another broswer, the same thing too. But when i used static ip addressing it was ok. this is our dns and dhcp address: 192.168.3.11 and the default gateway. but when i pinged the default gateway it way replying. using ipconfig /all:192.168.3.6 which is the peplink router switch it did show default gateway. and we are using dhcp in our organisation.
