Laptop Is Unable To Access Internet

It is a period of time, of some weeks, since my laptop is unable to access the internet. It succesfully connects to a wireless network, I can see the name of it, but after connecting my laptop is displaying "Unidentified network", below the network name. Also, I don't have Internet access. In the task bar, my wireless icon has an exclamation mark, in a yellow triangle. I have tried to connect with another laptop at a wireless network my laptop can't connect and it worked for the other laptop. So, the problem is with my laptop, not with the network.

My Dell Laptop is unable to access internet through my Netgear wireless router. Other equipment (Lenovo laptop, ipad, iphone, PS3) accessing internet fine through same router. I ran the onboard Dell Wireless WLAN Card Utility. Hardware diagonistics all pass. Connection diagnostics reports:
Radio Passed
Association Passed
Authentication Passed
Local IP Address Passed

I have just got a new laptop from work (Lenovo T410) but cannot seem to access the internet via wireless at home. The wireless mode at home is 802.11n. On my previous laptop (a Lenovo T60), I had to buy a belkin N Wireless USB adapter and used that. But I don't think I need to use it on the T410, right? When I switch the T410 on, the Access Connections box comes on and I can see all the different wireless networks available and they have good strength, but I just cannot connect, I don't know why? I have entered the 10 digit encryption key.

I have a desktop computer, Sony VAIO laptop, and a Motorola router. The computers are both running Windows 7 Professional. The desktop computer is running 32 bit Windows and the Laptop 64 bit.
My network appears to be Windows Homegroup which got setup after a crash of the desktop. Previously, I ran a network setup with Motorolas tech support and it ran fine (before crash and reinstall on desktop computer). I had access back and forth between both computers. I would rather not run Windows Homegroup but it looks like I am stuck with it if there is no way to remove it and resinstall another network or unless I can have two networks on my computer.
The error message that I get when trying access my laptop from the desktop is
"Windows cannot access \name-VAIOackups You do not have permission to access \name-VAIOackups"
I have set file sharing on both computers and am running all files as administrator. How can I regain access between these computers?

Using Windows 7 on a dell laptop unable to connect to the Internet in normal mode but can connect in safe mode. I think one of the family has deleted something form the programs menu. It worked fine untill a number of weeks ago Internet connection to my home is fine as all other computers work.

I own a HP pavilion dv7 laptop and I'm having trouble connecting to my home connection. My laptop connects to other connections but my desktop PC and gaming console are connecting to the "broken" internet just fine so I'm assuming it's the laptop.
I've tried unplugging the modem/router for minutes, uninstalling/reinstalling the network adapter device ((It now keeps coming up as "unidentified network" instead of the original name for the connection; Should I be concerned??)), and even just stopped using the laptop for a few days to see if somehow that would fix it.
I've troubleshot it and it says theres a problem with my access point/router but I don't see how that's the problem if everything else is working fine. I've spent 3 hours looking into solutions to this problem and I've come accross that the router may not be giving the laptop an IP to connect too but I'm still not sure how to fix this issue or if it's another issue all together.

Today after I restarted my laptop (Dell vostro 1400 running windows), I found that I can't open any pages or sites. My wireless utility icon tells me that my laptop is connected to my router, but neither of my browsers (chrome or firefox) will load anything. However, if I turn off my wireless (there's a switch that I can trigger) and try to load a page immediately after turning it back on, then a page will load, though anything after that will not. I'm positive that it's not my router or my internet because my computer and iPod touch connect perfectly fine, it's just my laptop will not.I thought that I might have accidentally gotten malware so I ran malwarebytes in safe mode and it found one Trojan, which I removed afterwards, though I don't remember what it's name or type was. I restarted my laptop afterwards hoping that removing the Trojan would work but I'm still having the same problem.

So i recently just obtained a Vaio Sony Windows 7 laptop. I turned it on and everything was working fine. I used the internet for about a minute then my internet disconnected and was unusable. I opened my desktop computer to see whats wrong but the connection there also stopped. I troubleshooted and it says i cannot communicate with Primary DNS server. It says i am connected but i have no internet access. I am currenty using my iPhone to type this.

I'm unable to connect to the internet from my laptop. When I do a diagnostic test it tells me that the default gateway is not available. I've tried resetting it, resetting my IP address via command prompt, restarting the router, etc.

how to use a computer in the time before Windows, comfortable with using command prompt. Have fixed many issue over the years with old and crappy computers, through research. Not very familiar with wireless connections. Last week laptop started freezing on Windows load, going automatically to safe mode. If I restart the computer after loading in safe mode, Windows opens fine the second time. Have tried stopping all other programs from loading at start up. If I do a system restore, everything works fine for a few days, then starts freezing on Windows load again. When Window does load I get the application error: The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0150002) click ok to close. but can still log in to Windows. Also, When I plug my cell phone, via USB to computer it charges fine and can upload and download between the phone and laptop, however, if I connect a (USB) thumb drive I cannot open the folder, save to it or open from it. This is the issue I wish to fix first so I don't have to keep switching between my ancient and slow CPU and my Laptop trying to fix the above problem(s): Laptop recently stopped connecting to home WiFi (automatically or manually.) Ran troubleshooters, suggested I do a full power off the router and turn it back on. Did that still not connecting. Did a full power off of laptop and modem and router and restarted everything. Still doesn't work. Used manual Diagnostic tool and it fails the association test, suggests that I check the profile. I don't know much about wireless as I said, so I do not know what profile I need to check or where it is located.The laptop does connect sporadically to the internet at home, via WiFi, for a few minutes at a time on its own, according to the wireless network connections. During this time I see one of two messages in wireless network connections: Unidentified network or limited access. If I go into the network sharing centre it says I am connected to an unidentified public network and shows that this network is not connecting to the internet. If I use the manual diagnostic tool at this time it passes the association test but fails the ping test.
Distance from the router does not seem to make a difference.Often when it is disconnected I cannot even see my router in the list of available wireless network connections.I can connect wireless to the router from my phone and have had no problems even while the laptop is unable to connect and the old CPU I am currently on, which is a wired connection, has had no trouble either. Other things I tried:I've scanned for hardware changes in my network connections: none and tried updating my driver software: nothing to update all are enabled.

I have been trying to connect to the internet with my new adsl2+ wireless internet with dodo, i rang them and they say its my toshiba laptop windows vista that is the problem, it says that i can connect to the internet and from their end it confirms it however when i open a web browser it always comes up with page unavailable, i can connect no issues to the net via the modem connection cable but i need to connect wirelessly asap?

I bought Dell Inspiron 5520 two weeks ago in Dubai, UAE.My Internet was working fine first couple of days but since past 4 days I am not able to connect to internet via Wifi (however there are other laptops i.e. HP and Dell) that are able to use the same Wifi to connect to internet but my brand new Dell us not able.I am not quite techie, only understand very basics of this whole laptop (hardware and softwares etc)

I am not able to connect my HP laptop (Windows Vista) to the internet via a wireless router/high speed internet.My internet service provider confirmed that it is a problem with my HP laptop.I have a Linksys router. My other laptop (Sony) connects fine.I have tried two browsers on my HP laptop to access the internet with no luck.My HP laptop does say that I am connected to the wireless network.

I have a Dell Laptop Latitude 610 and I have not been able to connect to the Internet via the ethernet cable port for some four months now. I've tried downloading software from Dell's web site, I bought (and returned) and USB to Ethernet cable, only to find out that it was a model ahead of what this machine needs.I've asked local repair place (Microcenter) what it might be, but they'll only tell me after I pay $70 just to open it up.Another repair guy said that it is probably the motherboard and it wasn't worth fixing. Ok so I am accessing the Internet by LAN cable hooked up to the (LAN slots?) on the motherboard.After a lightning strike, where there was once 2 yellow lights is now gone.Question is what needs to be replaced because the slots are on the mobo itself.

Recently got a BT hub for wireless internet, and although the hub says everything is running fine, my laptop cannot get internet access. It can connect to the BT hub through wireless ok, but then it doesnt get internet access.
If i look at my network map ( in control panel -> network and internet) it shows that i'm connected to the Hub ok, then the Hub is connected to the 'gateway' ok (?!? dont know what this is ), but then the gateway is not connected to the internet. Ive tried running diagnostics on everything i can, but this doesnt find the problem or says the DNS server isnt responding.I have Windows 7, and i think a Atheros AR5B93 Wireless network adapter,

I had a problem with client computer unable to connect to internet. the system is connected wirelessly and the signal strength ok. i tried it with another broswer, the same thing too. But when i used static ip addressing it was ok. this is our dns and dhcp address: 192.168.3.11 and the default gateway. but when i pinged the default gateway it way replying. using ipconfig /all:192.168.3.6 which is the peplink router switch it did show default gateway. and we are using dhcp in our organisation. Unable to access webpages and sometimes internet.I will be on my laptop which is the main computer I use (I usually use it wirelessly although I'm having the same problem now, even when I'm hardwired) and suddenly I can't access some or all websites. This isn't just normal dropping for a few seconds at a time, this can last for hours sometimes. Meanwhile, the desktop computer which is directly connected, doesn't have any problems at all.

I have a home network of 3 cmputers. DHCP from router. 1 computer is not getting address. But if I assign it one, with same gateway and dns(not a duplicate ip of others), it can ping internally, and outside. I can do tracert to 8.8.8.8 and ping it (google DNS). But I can't get to internet. So - i can get out, but nothing coming in. I have checked firewall.

Everything worked fine until I went to move my desk to a different area and had to unplug everything. Upon plugging everything back up - my desktop internet works fine, but the laptop says "Connected but no internet access". I've tried working on it for 2 hours unplugging and replugging cords back up and I can't get any internet access on my laptop. I am using a cable modem. Currently I have the blue ethernet cord running from the modem, directly into my computer. I also have a grey cord that apparently was plugged into the router somehow but I don't remember how exactly I had this one plugged up. The cable modem only has one jack, for "ethernet". The router is a Linksys WRT54G and has 4 numbered (1-4) jacks in the back and then one jack for "internet". The laptop is running Windows 7, and the desktop (which the internet runs fine on right now) is running Vista.
