Jan 3, 2013I have a tplink acess point TL-wa5110G . I have WISP ( wireless internet service provider). I have configured the acess point on wisp client router mode and wan type to pppoe gave the username and pwd..Now i want to share internet wirelessly. now my question is that can i connect the aces point to wan port of the wirless router to share internet wirlessly? Because i have seen the instruction figure in tplink access router where they have shown that u can connect it with with unmanage able switch to share it to wired lan.i want to ask can wirless works to share internet if i use wireless router to access point.

I can't for the life of me get into the router though to change the password and name!I've read through various forums about running ipconfig and that giving me the gateway - However, we main router where the internet runs through so the IP address of the gateway is the main router! The default IP address listed on several forums is 192.168.0.50, but as everything in this network has an IP .50 is a printer!

I have been traveling all over Germany and automatically detecting internet wherever I go however I cannot detect the dlink wireless access point directly across from me. My work computer is detecting and connecting just fine. I see other wireless networks just not the one I have a password for so I cannot connect. I have reset and seperately restarted the wireless access point but no luck. I am in desperate need of this wireless access. There is no line I can plug into manually either. I have also tried to manually set up the network and that either did not work or I did not go about it correctly.

I have to have my internet router/modem in the kitchen as its the only phone point in my flat currently working, but my partner has to run an ethernet cable down the hall from there to hook up his xbox 360. however, I want to be able to use ethernet for my laptop occasionally to get a better speed then over wireless as the wireless isn't perfect from the room i'm in and wondered what the best way to go about this was. I could also plug in my PS3 if there was a way to get all my devices connecting to the router without too many cables. I've heard of a switch.. what does this do? Or will a simple ethernet connector work for what I wanna do

Aug 29, 2009I just bought an LG Bluray DVD player (BD390) which is unable to find the access point in my home network.My router is a WRT54G, ver. 2.2, running firmware: Ver.4.21.1. My home network uses high speed cable with two computers on the wireless network, all working with no problems.The router is on the second floor but the two computers and the new BD390 are on the first floor - about 35 feet away. I have the wirelss security set to none and use only the specific computer MAC addresses to allow connection to this network.
I found directions in the forum for a setup using the LG BD390 but with a different Linksys router. I changed the security to WPA (AES); the Beacon interval from 100 to 75; the Fragmentation Threshold from 2346 to 2304; and the RTS Threshold from 2347 to 2307. The DVD wireless connection still failed to find my network. There is a "Push button" connection feature on the BD390 setup which I tried, but the only "button" on the router I could find was in the basic wireless setting, a green icon for the wireless SSID setup. No connection was made there either.
The recommendation connection from the LG manual is for a network cable, but that would be over 50 feet and a real pain to connect, so I would prefer WiFi.

Apr 23, 2012I am trying to access the internet trough my WRT610N connected to a ZyXEL P-2601HN provided by my ISP.
I have the WRT610 all setup and working, but I cannot connect to the internet. The WRT610N is a the latest firmware version.
The WRT610 is connected (Internet) by cable to the Zyxel (one of the four ports)with a cat.5E patch cable.
the wireless is so much better on the WRT610N than the ZyXel.
Dlink DIR 615 / Good Router For Controlling Internet Access
Feb 21, 2011I have a Dlink DIR 615 , I can never get it to manage the time correctly, even without any down time the time always goes off by hours or days. I tried using an NTP server option... 3.ca.pool.ntp.org but it doesn't work.... so I am not able to schedule the internet effectively router that they have that keeps the time and allows them to control the Internet access that would be good. My kids are teenagers so sometimes it is like talking to a wall trying to get them to control their internet, I can easily block them entirely as I have Mac filtering set, and I will do this, but I would like to not have to constantly check to see if they are online which is easily done with Ipods.

I have it currently set up with the WAG320N using IP range 192.168.1.1 and the E4200 using 192.168.2.1.The E4200 is setup using the default - Automatic Configuration - DHCP and the internet port is connected to port 1 on the WAG320N. The E4200 links to the WAG320N successfully and picks up the correct external DNS addresses.I want to split the wireless network with the WAG320N providing the 2.4Ghz and the E4200 providing the 5Ghz.

Apr 25, 2011I've got a AP WAP54G. I've managed to get into the configuration page and rename my router and set a WPA2-Personl password.
The issue I'm facing is that when me and my roomate try to connect to the router at the same time, it shows the laptop that connects second as one that has 'limited connectivity' and hence cannot use the internet. The 1st laptop however works fine!
The settings for the router have all been left to default.
I'm not sure, but does this problem have anything to do with the fact that the router in configured with a static IP. If so, then there is another issure which is that whenever I try to change it from static to automatic/dynamic IP, the page fails and the router doesn't even get connected to the configuraion page(192.168.1.245) after that. The only way to get that page again is the reset the router.
Also I'm not able to directly get into the config page when I connect my router to my laptop via lan. I need to change the LAN IP to 192.168.1.x where x is >1.

Nov 13, 2012I have a TP-Link wireless router which we have always been able to connect to the router with these laptops. My sister has come over to use our internet, which has worked before on her laptop, but now all of a sudden she can't connect to our router, it won't even allow her to type in the password it just says Windows can't connect to the network. I then tried one of our other laptop and after much battling it also refuses to connect to the router. eventually it did, but it still can't connect to the internet.I sat on the phone for about a hour with our network provider (I am from South Africa), and after trying many things, it still won't work. The guy said that there is nothing more to try.

TL-WR542G - Tplink Router Became Unresponsive?
Jun 18, 2012So I am an owner of this router for the last 2 years: TL-WR542G - Welcome to TP-LINK . Today it died on me. All of its leds are lightning up, but it doesn't provide a wifi network, and won't give me an interface when i try to access it through 192.168.1.1 on my desktop . There seems to be nothing I can do about it , I tried pushing the reset button on it's back but it does nothing at all.
Do I have any other options to get some life back into it?

May 10, 2013I'm using a WRT120N and have had no problems connecting most wireless devices, but a Nintendo DS and DSi owned by my family are unable to connect to the access point. My wireless security mode is disabled, network mode is set to mixed, SSID is the same as on the DS/DSi, Channel width is 20Mhz only, Standard channel is set to 6, but I tried using channel 1 and 11 without success, SSID broadcast is enabled.
I've tried every work-about I could find and always get the 51300 error code, and am at a loss as to what else I can try to get the devices to connect to the access point.
