Versalink 327W - Cannot Connect Via Wireless Router

Running an HP a1210n desktop with Win xp sp2, ie7, with Verizon DSL internet through a Westell Versalink 327W router. We have three laptops in the house that can all get to the web just fine. On the desktop I reinstalled windows about two months ago after a virus attack, and although i've had intermitten web access, it's spotty. Now I'm unable to connect at all. When I open IE7, the home page (google.com) hangs, status bar takes about 2 min. to get halfway, then it displays the "IE cannot display webpage" screen.I followed the instructions on that page for "diagnose connection problems".
I have a Westell VersaLink Model 327W router that is linked to two desktops, one with Windows 7 and one with XP. Our internet speed was recently increased, and ever since that happened the connection cuts out randomly and sometimes when the phone rings. After noticing the link to phone calls, I tested the connection by calling the phone to see if I could replicate the problem. However, the internet did not disconnect when I called the phone myself. On the Windows 7 desktop, the taskbar says no internet access when the connection disconnects. Strangely, Windows 7's default Troubleshoot Problems restores the connection every time. The disconnects are still extremely frustrating because they cause me to lose any online game I am playing at the time. I am not completely sure about the symptoms on the XP computer because it is not mine and I am rarely on it; however, I believe it normally reconnects after a few minutes on its own. We also have laptops that are connected wirelessly to our network. I have noticed that they tend to also lose internet access, although the taskbar does not indicate any problems. I am reluctant to believe that the problem lies in my router or ISP because the disconnects began when our internet was upgraded. I have searched the internet for fixes, but so far I have found nothing.
I have a VersaLink (West4715) Model 327W, Serial #07804664715, and when I try to connect a new Notebook, it is asking for a "Security Key". I have no idea what this is, or was, and, unfortunately, have lost the paperwork that came with the Modem. The Modem Settings are: VPI/VCI=8/35 or 1483DriverSetPPPoe. The IP Address is 169.254.76.56.what the "Security Key" is?
I have a Westel model 327W for my DSL service. I received it from my internet provider (Bellsouth). I recently purchased a Cisco E1000 router for what I though was a easy connect. For two days off and on I have tried to connect them but I have not been able. I'm not very computer smart but I do know the basics. I have managed to cripple one desktop and a laptop that had wireless or ethernet to the point the system tells me they are not equiped with wireless cards and my wireless range on the computer I'm typing on is about 5 feet. How to connect the Westel DSL to the Cisco router.
Within the last 6 months, I purchased a Toshiba Satellite C655 running Windows 7. When I take it to my summer house, I can connect wirelessly initially to a Westell VersaLink model# B90-327W15-06 router, but by the end of the first day I lose my connection and cannot connect unless I direct cable to modem. When I return home, it works fine again. The next time I visited my summer house, the same thing has happened. I worked with my IP support tech to try and resolve this issue to no avail. My husband's MACbook has no problem connecting wirelessly. The IP support tech had me enter the router's IP address to acess the router. When the Westell screen came up, no matter what menu option I clicked on the screen did not respond. My IP support person suggested I download firmware from the Westell site.I am not sure what to download - is it 'triggering' or 'forwarding' firmware?
how to bridge from a Westell VersaLink 327W (b90-327w15-06) to a D-link DIR-655. I'm doing this in hopes of increasing the range of the wireless signal (and the speed as well).
I have a wireless Linksys E1500 router, and for quite a few months now, my router just stopped working properly. It quit, I unplugged everything and plugged it back in, and it worked, but from that point on, it's been displaying this:
I just bought the e1000 router today and I'm already having trouble. I got it setup the first time and all my computers set up with it and it works fine for internet. Everything is snappy and responsive and I don't have any of the problems I did with my old belkin. However, I am unable to connect to the router using cisco connect or the web interface. I need to forward ports, configure wireless security, etc etc. All I did was disable the guest account through cisco connect, and then when the software just sat there doing nothing with the spinning circle in the middle, I opened task manager and killed the process to get it to go away. Now I can't connect using either cisco connect or the web interface.
Any way to connect a wifi usb to a wireless router for better wifi connect?? i have wifi but it only gets in the room of the house im in and want it to work though out the house not just one room
The internet at my parents house has recently gone on the fritz..the wireless router is a N600 Wireless Dual Band Router WNDR3400..The computers of the house are able to connect to it..But it does not allow internet connections..The 3 computers are an HP Laptop running windows 7.a Dell Dimension E521 Running windows 7 & and an older HP Walmart special running XP.They can connect to outside systems and through a wired connection to the Modem from Cable vision. They replaced the wireless router and the problem continues.Internet is capable by plugging directly into the Cable vision router,unfortunately do not have the cables to try through the Netgear router to test that out..
I have a WRT54GS which works fine with Linux both from both wired and wireless computers using Linux. But I reinstalled Win XP and now I can't reestablish a connection following the EasyLink advisor. I did have a connection under Win XP before.
The last instruction on the Easylink advisor tells me to look for something marked "local" I don't find that word on the screen.
When I try to go to192.168.1.1 it says connection interrupted. If i use the Cisco Connect it tells me i am not connected to the internet. My pc is connected via ethernet cable. My son can pull it up on is laptop and is connect the our Linksys E3000 wirelessly. I can go online, I just cant get to the router.
If I update my firmware on my EA2700 router to be able to use the Cloud, will I loose the ability to connect to my router on 192.168.1.1 ? If this is so, why couldn't linksys let you use both Cloud and 192.168.1.1 in their latest firmware?
I want to use cisco connect with the Router E1200. There is a wireless connection between laptop and E1200 Router. When I run the "Cisco Connect" after couple minutes searching It can not find the Router and I have to put an (Router name SSID) and password.
I have a weird problem. I bought recently a new router, and when I try to connect to the settings on it on http://198.168.0.1 it sometimes works, mostly doesn't. When I ping other devices which are connected it, it's the same; sometimes get a response, mostly I don't. The router model is: TP-LINK 150Mbps Wireless N Router TL-WR740N, The thing which it's connected to is entitled "ADSL2+ Ethernet bridge router" That aforementioned thing is suppoused to be a modem. But, when I try to connect to its settings from http://10.0.0.138 , I'm able to, and other who are connected to the network give response to a ping.
I bought a Cisco-Linksys E3200 8 months ago and it worked well until last month. I usually power down the router after midnight & power up in the morning and evevry time it can connect to internet through DSL modem without problem until this Feb. Most of the time after powering up the router it just can't connect to internet anymore. I am sure the AT&T DSL modem is working. I have to reboot/reset the router & DSL modem several time to get router to connect to internet again. The order of resetting/rebooting DSL modem & E3200 router seems to make no difference. It just appears suddenly the router can connect to internet by chance. I changed router IP and it didn't work either. It's really annoying becuase I have to spend 10~40 minutes to resetting/rebooting DSL modem & router to get internet connection every day.
My wrt120n router wont connect my ps3, it was working fine, now it dosnt send out a signal, but my computer is wired and works fine. I tried reseting it and leaveing it and the modem unplugged for awhile but didnt work.
I'm getting decent signal through my 3 story home with my new router, however, there are some dead spots on the 3rd floor.
This is my setup:
1. WNDR-3700 Router on main floor
- TV is hooked up router (internet tv) - VOIP modem hooked up to router - USB drive hooked up to router for transferring files from computers upstairs to router USB driver
So basically, the router MUST stay where it is. I'm wondering if it's possible to WIRELESS-LY connect my WNDR-3700 router to another BELKIN wireless router. possible at all?
WRT610v2 running latest firmware. xbox 360 sees both the 2.4 network (ssid = network1) and the 5.0 network (ssid network2) when it does its scan.
Initially, xbox showed network strength for 2.4 network at 3 out of 4 bars and 5.0 network at 1 out of 4 bars. Connects to 2.4 network just fine, Won't pull an ip address and reports "Not connected" when I select the 5.0 network.
I tweaked the wireless settings per some suggestions I found in this forum and now it shows the 5.0 network at 4 out of 4 bars signal strength. Also turned security on and off and xbox 360 reported the changes in security on the 5.0 network. So the xbox 360 is definitely seening the 5.0 network. and can tell if it is running WPA2 or not. If it can see the 5.0 network and recognizes what security and network type (infrastructure) is set, would would stop it from connecting to the WRT610n router and getting an IP address? No mac filters or firewalls are set and, again, connects just fine and gets an ip address if I select the 2.4 (network1 ssid) instead.
My gf's Mac and my other brand new computer with W7 won't connect to a new SMC8014WN router we got from our supplier.I was able to hook up my Wii, Iphone and laptop, plus two cable based computers without problem.I tried going to the router IP and enabled Wireless but they are still not allowing access on the 2 mentioned wireless computers.The network shows up, but typing in the password and says "Unable to connect to Network." Also tried the on/off for 10 seconds with the router obviously.
After moving I have reinstalled my D-Link N 150 and it seems to be working ok...lights are all on and getting web on my main computer. However, on my laptop (HP G7-1070US) I am trying to establish wireless and it cannot connect. Under networks it shows an Unidentified network first and then mine second. Wireless is working (lite is on)
Upgraded my router from g to n. Easily connected my laptop, itouch, iphone. My wireless g card in my windows xp desktop sees the new wireless n network and tries to connect, but it times out and cannot connect. Restarted computer, no luck.
In terms of networking, I've really been living in the past. I have DSL and I'm just using the router verizon provided me for wireless networking.Which wireless router is the best out of the ones I will be listing. I will be connecting an all in one printer to it and an external hard drive to share files with my laptop. Security, reliability, and wireless distance are very important to me. I also need to somehow connect the router (wireless-ly) to my Samsung ln52c530 url... My Samsung has a USB HDD input. When I connect to my router I only get a local connection but no internet, when I run the diagnose and repair tool it says: "Cannot communicate with the primary DNS server (67.142.168.10)". [code]
Why is it that when I try to connect my PSP(3001) to my Netgear N-150 Wireless Router, a message appears on my PSP screen telling me that "a connection to the access point could not be established" and that I should "check the security settings for the network and try again"?
I have wonder that my laptop has wireless, and when i connect it to router to use internet it show wireless now is connect, but when i open the website it show not work..and this problem occur only my computer. and when the other computer laptop they can connect and use internet normal...
I have just installed the E1200 router to my cable internet and it works great, but my printer is not wireless and is not even being recognized as an device on my computer. How do I now connect my printer?
I have a E4200v2 and im getting wireless connection issues. I have updated to the lastest firmware and have checked all my wireless settings. I dont use usb storeage. I have 1 laptop using 5G, my iphone using 2G and my wife mac using also 2G.. the problem is that, once we stop using the 2G connection (leave it overnight), it just dies the next day.. it wont connect, i double check the password and it wont connect. But the 5G connection is fine.. Do i have a break E4200v2? or anyway of fixing this?
I have tried with my iPad, iphone, laptop with wireless N adapter and 2 PCs with wireless N adapters. none of them worked. If I use mixed mode, they can connect but only with Wireless G and speed is 48 - 54 only.
