Nov 17, 2012I can't get my Kindle Touch to connect to my Belkin router, I haven't had any problems until the last couple of days. I can connect my Kindle to the router at my work.

Feb 11, 2012I expect to receive a new Kindle Touch w/WiFi next week.I presently have my RR modem plugged to the DIR-655 and one Ethernet cable from the router to the PC and another (a 40' Cat6 Ethernet cable) going from the DIR-655 to a bus and then to an Internet-ready HDTV. I'm able to watch NetFlix streaming movies.I'm wanting to know step-by-step for each setting for my DIR-655 so that I can download books via WiFi to my Kindle Touch from Amazon's library.I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64x Media Center Player?

Jan 5, 2012We are a public library and offer an open wireless cloud to our patrons. We are currently having trouble with people connecting to our wireless with the Kindle Touch version 4. Users of the Kindle Fire and older models have no problems with connecting, just this one specific model. We are using Cisco Aironet 1230 Access Points connecting back via LWAPP to a WLC 4402 running code version 7.0.220.0. The clients are receiving their DHCP options from a Windows 2003 server. Besides the standard options we are also pushing the WPAD 252 option.

It is great with our ten different devices (possibly even a dozen?), but it continues to disconnect a Kindle Fire - that used to connect with no problem - evidently upon acquisition of a newer Kindle Fire. As long as MAC Filtering is not enabled, then there shouldn't be an issue of a "white list" - which the Kindle manual suggests as a solution ("If ... filtering is enabled, ensure your Kindle's MAC address is added to your router's white list in your network settings"). (I did figure out how to go to the network address, but was mostly flumoxed from there)

Jul 15, 2011I have tried to connect my Kindle to my E3000 without success. The Kindle shows that the router is there but after entering my password in the Kindle it will not connect. I tried going into Cisco Connect and enable "Guest" user. Again the Kindle shows that the router is there showing "Guest User" and after entering the password for the guest user it still will not connect. The Kindle does connect to the internet through a router that is shown - I have no idea whose router it is - but at least it proves that the Kindel will connect to the internet.

Up until recently I was able to use my chip to connect a Sculpt Touch Bluetooth mouse, but as of late, I am not. When I place the mouse into discovery mode I am able to see the mouse, but when I try to connect to it I get an error that says, "That didn't work. Try again and make sure your mouse is discoverable." I know the Bluetooth chip is still working as I am able to control my iPhone from the computer. I have all the updates installed for my system, including the driver for the Bluetooth card.
