View 1 RepliesKindle fire won't connect to my router WRT320N- I have the correct password- signal strength is excellent- I have set up other devices without problems- prompt reads "connection error unable to connect to access point. Please check the password you have provided."
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have the WRT120N. It seems to work for the computer and for Netflix through the BluRay, but I cannot connect my Kindle, my son's Kindle or either my ormy husband's phones anymore. They used to work.
Also, the free trial of Network Magic is over and it can no longer be purchased. Do I really need something like that?
I have a WRT5G2 V1 wireless router. I cannot connect to the internet with my kindle,I-pod and Wii. I had this problem a few years ago when I bought this device for my laptop.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have tried to connect my Kindle to my E3000 without success. The Kindle shows that the router is there but after entering my password in the Kindle it will not connect. I tried going into Cisco Connect and enable "Guest" user. Again the Kindle shows that the router is there showing "Guest User" and after entering the password for the guest user it still will not connect. The Kindle does connect to the internet through a router that is shown - I have no idea whose router it is - but at least it proves that the Kindel will connect to the internet.

Also, I removed the security on the network to see if its able to connect without password. The state where it fails is Obtaining IP address and it fails again.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have 3 Kindles (2 Kindles with keyboards and 1 kindle touch) that have wifi and they were working fine until our 2Wire router died and we got a new Westell DSL Wireless Gateway from ATT (model: B90-755025-15). All of our other wireless devices are working fine (Ipods, laptop, Ipad) with the new wireless router, but the Kindles will now not connect to our wifi network. I type in the same network key that I did for the other devices but it doesn't work. Amazon said all sofware was up to date on the kindles and it is a problem with the settings on the router because they were working before we got the router. AT&T won't work for me because they say the other devices are working so it must be a problem with the Kindles. Is there a setting I can change on the router or does the Westell router just not work with the Kindles?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to get my parents Kindle Fire to work. They recently purchased a Motorola Modem/Router which is hooked into the desktop and works fine. I want to get their new kindle to work and can not seem to figure it out. Their operating system is Vista which I can upgrade to Windows 7 if that would make it easier. When I click on setup the WiFi part of the installation wizard cd that came with the Motorola it says there is not a network adapter. I know what that is however I do not know why I would need it when the desktop is hooked directly into modem/router and I just need the WiFi for Kindle.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI have WRT54G2 that I've set up my wireless network on. My Kindle, just the basic one, sees and recognizes the network. It has good signal from it. When I attempt to sign in though the Kindle says my password is invalid or it says it just can not connect. I have gone over and checked what I hope are all the settings but to no avail.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI originally bought the 615 router because my Net Talk telephone required it. The first Wi-Fi device I used is my Kindle Touch. I have been able to use the Wi-Fi several times since I received the Kindle, but there have now been two failures to connect. The first time I just unplugged the router power and connections, restarted the modem, and rebooted my computer. The Wi-Fi then worked. Now I am experiencing a failure to connect again.
I have noticed that when I restart my computer I have to connect to the internet directly by pulling the cable from the router and putting it from the modem to the computer. This seems to teach the router what it is supposed to do, because when I reconnect the modem to the router the internet starts to work immediately.I have tried changing the password to wireless internet, but my Kindle still will no longer connect. The router is about two years old. [code]No go to the devices and check to see if you see the new SSID name you gave in the router. I should be listed there. Select it and it should ask you for a password, enter the password you gave in the router. The only problem is that my modem does not exactly say "mixed G and N".

I just bought and installed this wireless router, specifically so that I could use me kindle..but, keep getting rejected due to a password error...the password is correct. On Amazon it looks like there may be a setting that needs adjustment in order to accept the Kindle..
However, my 13" Macbook (running Lion) sometimes finds if hard to connect after I turn it on. I will have to continously turn off and on the wifi of the macbook to have it force to look at wifi networks. It will not be able to see also other wifi networks which are present in my neighbors which my windows 7 and other machines can see. After playing around with it I found that the macbook will connect to wifi only after I connect it momentarily via cable. I do this everytime I turn on my macbook.I just upgraded to a Macbook Pro running on Lion and the same thing happened. I tried the same solution of connecting first via cable but to my disappointment, would not see any wifi network including my neighbor's which again the other machines can see. So I am stuck with using cable for now.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to connect new iPhone 4S, it goes to the page for all the info (IP address, etc.) instead of just asking for the password input. I've tried disconnecting router and restarting, plugging iPhone into iMac laptop, etc. (PC is hardwired into server and PC laptop, iMac laptop and former iPhone 3 all connected to wifi w/o difficulty.) Went to site of purchase (12/2011) of Lynksys E2500. They suggested might need to download a driver.how to locate and install updates to driver for E2500 to allow connection to iPhone 4S?
View 2 Replies View RelatedAll of us connect effortlessly to wifi via the EA3500. All of us, however, also have iPhones, and yet none of us can get on wifi with our iPhones. Apple insists the problem is on the Cisco side, not the Apple side, and I have to agree with them because all of the iPhones connect effortlessly to wifi everywhere else it is available. I tried contacting Cisco support, but they wound up telling me that if I paid them they might be able to assist, since the router is outside the warranty period. (I tried explaining to them that I didn't know about the extent of the problem until 10 days ago My wife simply uses her mac; none of my daughters lives here and only one of them had an iPhone until ten days ago when I purchased the other ones. But that was to no avail.) Why no one can get on wifi with iPhones when they can, simply and effortlessly, with the PC, the iPad, and their macs?
View 5 Replies View RelatedTo preface this message I need to state that I am functionally illiterate when it comes to any kind of networking. I just replaced an old Linksys wireless-G router with a new Linksys EA6500 router. My needs are as follows: I am connecting 4 desktop computers (two personal and two business) via Ethernet cables. In addition there will be three smart phones, two DVD players and one game console connected wirelessly. In the future I will add a printer, hard drive and more wireless devices. After installing the hardware and running the setup disk all four computers wired with Ethernet cables worked fine (although they are not set up to communicate or share files with one another - they only need to access the internet. My problem is with the wireless connectivity. I cannot get any one of the wireless devices to work.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have the E3000 router. I set it up about a month ago and had my laptop and iphones and ipads all hooked up and working great. About two weeks ago, all of my devices are having problems connecting to the network and if they do connect, it is unstable (slow speeds or constantly dropping from the network). I know it is not the internet due to the fact that my LAN connection (hardwired) runs great. I am pulling my hair out trying to figure out why. I have restored to factory defauls and started over setting it up with no change in performance. I have the latest drivers on the router and the laptop. I thought maybe it was vista and my laptop or network card, but the fact that I cannot get my phones or ipads to connect with good performance I am starting to think it is something to do with the router. Also, just for more info, I am using Chater cable internet. I am running vista 64x on the laptop.
