I have WRT54G2 that I've set up my wireless network on. My Kindle, just the basic one, sees and recognizes the network. It has good signal from it. When I attempt to sign in though the Kindle says my password is invalid or it says it just can not connect. I have gone over and checked what I hope are all the settings but to no avail.
View 1 RepliesI have tried to connect my Kindle to my E3000 without success. The Kindle shows that the router is there but after entering my password in the Kindle it will not connect. I tried going into Cisco Connect and enable "Guest" user. Again the Kindle shows that the router is there showing "Guest User" and after entering the password for the guest user it still will not connect. The Kindle does connect to the internet through a router that is shown - I have no idea whose router it is - but at least it proves that the Kindel will connect to the internet.

After a successful installation, I started to use the wireless internet without an issue...My problem is that none of the computers that I logged on with require my entering the password. View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought a Kindle whitepaper that uses Wi Fi. Other than going to a free wi fi location to download Amazon books, I decided to buy a router. Everything seems to be ok at the router end I believe. But when I use the wireless feature on Kindle, type in the password I assigned to the router, it always, I mean always, no matter how many times I set up, reinstall the router, and try to log into Kindle storefront using my kindle, Kindle always returns the message "Incorrect Password". Now I don't have a problem with the router. I'll keep it for future wi fi usage. I have done an installation with no password and can then go to Kindle storefront on the Kindle but that is rather insane to not have a password while I am reading books on Kindle. Why the password I assign to the router isn't working with Kindle after I reset the router (using a paper clip method) and reconfiguring with the new username and password like 5 times already? The username appears ok on the Kindle wireless, just the password doesn't work. I'd like the issue resolved before I buy more wireless products. Great router.

forgot password for Linksys WRT54G2 and can't connect wife's new Ipad; i'm not real popular at the moment. went on cisco site and they gave a technique where you input IP address and a screen is supposed to pop up with a "wireless" tab, then give access to another tab where you can view your pw.BTW, if I reset it entirely do I have to reset each of the computers now hooked up to it?
View 1 Replies View RelatedJust got the WRT54G2 and setup it fine with or without encrytion and passwords - however when I setup the other 2 pcs on my network - the only way I can get them setup and going is WITHOUT encryption and password protection - setiing up without encryption on those works fine, but it defeats the purpose of what I'm trying to do. I was on the phone with Linksys for over an hour and they can't seem to get it to work either - guess they got stumped and after an hour - I was put on hold and then cut off.
