Mar 27, 2011I have a Dell Vostro 1500 and I have AT&T wireless internet in my house. My other computers and Roku connect with no problem, but mine even though it says it is connected, is not connected. I have Windows XP the other computer is Vista and the desktop is also XP. Even AT&T came over the house and said something is wrong with the computer.

Apr 21, 2011as gone all of a sudden. Checked cables, restarted both router and PC, and even rang provider with questions.. Router seems to be working fine as laptop and iphone both got internet access with the same router. The Local area connection icon showed limited on no connectivity snd so the provider renewed the IP manually and local area connection says its connected now but there is no internet access.. They suggest it could be something to do with firewall or something else blocking it but as far as I am concerned I did not make any changes to the pc the night before when it was actually proper connected.. The desktop pc is running windows XP and I tried downloading ethernet controller driver from the web and upgrading it but it did not improve the situation.

Jul 18, 2012my neighbor is having a problem with her computer, its an HP touch smart [not sure of model] every other computer in her household works [1x wired 1x wireless].
the computer in question has had repeated problems and various hardware issues and has been sent out for repair on more than one occasion all for non software related issues, i take care of software issues and diagnose hardware problems and i have done so without a hitch until now.
when the problem first started happening i would do a system restore to a point were it was working, but that does not seem to be working anymore
i have tried disabling firewalls [she uses AVG internet security edition which is on all of her computers], windows firewall, disabling and re-enabling network drivers, updating drivers, installing different and previous versions of browsers

Dec 25, 2011I am having Inspiron N4010 for almost an year now. I have had many troubles with this but never with internet connectivity. Last week I saw myself not being able to be connected to internet through wireless or wired network while everybody else was connected and surfing. I just thought it to be a small problem and the problem seemed resolved that very day itself on its own.
But today this computer has simply failed to get connected. it does get connected, open a page or two and then again refuses to connect. On the problem diagnoses from network sharing center, it was showing that the websites are not responding, then it started showing that DNS server was not responding while all my setting are correctly configured. I pinged gateway and it responds but on pinging some website there is no response at all. It s a problem with my laptop only as everybody else are using internet very well. I am using internet through my WiFi enabled cell phone using the same connection and router that i use for my laptop. I need an urgent solutions as I have to meet some deadlines regarding assignments.

I turned it on today and it automatically connected to my home network as usual and when I hover over the network icon it says there is Internet Access but when I open Firefox it can not connect to any websites. When I run the automatic troubleshooter, it does not detect any problems with the connectivity.

Mar 6, 2013I have an EA 4500. Tonight I was trying to see what devices were connected. The window shows 0 devices connected, although about 20 devices are connected and working. When I click on "Devices Connected", I get the spinning wheel, and after multiple attempts by the application to list devices, I receive a message that the application does not work. I have the latest firmware installed. This is a recent issue. I have not made any changes to network configuration, nor to any of the devices that all have internet access. I will note that I did not set up a separate SSID for each band. But that did not seem to be an issue in previous months. I also cannot access the router ui from my windows 7 desktop. I can access the abbreviated ui through my Android phone. I tried connecting through smart wi-fi and by ip of the router. I just get the endless spinning circle of dots. I am running Windows 7 all up to date. All drivers are up to date.

When the laptop has gone into standby and comes back out it is not connected to the internet or the 'secured side' of teh router. Instead, it asks for the 'guest side' password. When I try running Wireless Manager it goes through the entire process of 're-mating' adapter and router. That can't be right.How do I fix this so the system comes out of standby in the 'secured side' of the router?

Jul 1, 2012The route is connected to that. Wirelessly, there are two laptops and sometimes an iPad and sometimes a Wii. Verizon DSL. I barely use my laptop during the week, but did notice some connection issues maybe Thursday and Friday nights. All day yesterday and today, as well. I will have a connection for maybe 5 minutes and then get errors loading webpages (and/or videos stopped). I will repair the connection and it will say everything is fine but it will not work, repair again or disconnect/reconnect(sometimes, several times) and then it works for 5 minutes or 20 minutes before the same thing happens. The other laptop is having the same problems. What I have tried so far: restarting the PC, both laptops, the router, and the modem. Resetting the modem. I have not moved any furniture or anything that would cause interference. I am worried because I have been trying to make more money and started at this site called Treasure Trooper which seemed okay-surveys and the like. There were a few pay-to-download things I downloaded but did not run. Avira found a trojan and I deleted it (not sure if the two are related, but I can not think of anything else I have downloaded or installed in the past month or so).The old PC is off; the Wii is on but probably only maintains a small connection. The iPad and other laptop are not mine, but if either is on, they probably have little to no activity right now since the user is away.

I have a D-link DIR-825 router and it has worked every time except today. I havent used my Netbook very much at home though, maybe a few times a year as I usually take it with me on trips.
I attempted to narrow down the problem. I called D-link as my router was still under warranty. They advised clearing all my old connections and rebooting but I got the same problem. I told them my Sony PS3 works, so they suggested I contact Acer as they think it is not the router. My direct hardwire connection also works.
I then took my Netbook to Best Buy and it worked there. The guy said they can pay a visit to my house as it is probably interference of some sort. This will cost $100. Why would my PS3 work if it was interference? Maybe it�s the proximity of my Netbook to something, but I tried it near my PS3 and it still had the same problem.
Id rather try to solve the problem myself first. I havent changed anything except a modem and Windows 7 updates.

Lately I had been lucky to get my hands on some cmd commands which were abletil I restarted the laptop, I then performed the following commands every time I started the laptop: netsh winsock reset catalog, netsh int ipv(ip, ipv4 and ipv6) reset reset.log.I also tried ipconfig/flushdns which worked for like 5 seconds, they worked only for 1 week. I have 1 computer and 2 laptops, the computer can connect and browse my sisters laptop too but my one not. Mar 30, 2012Everything worked fine until I went to move my desk to a different area and had to unplug everything. Upon plugging everything back up - my desktop internet works fine, but the laptop says "Connected but no internet access". I've tried working on it for 2 hours unplugging and replugging cords back up and I can't get any internet access on my laptop. I am using a cable modem. Currently I have the blue ethernet cord running from the modem, directly into my computer. I also have a grey cord that apparently was plugged into the router somehow but I don't remember how exactly I had this one plugged up. The cable modem only has one jack, for "ethernet". The router is a Linksys WRT54G and has 4 numbered (1-4) jacks in the back and then one jack for "internet". The laptop is running Windows 7, and the desktop (which the internet runs fine on right now) is running Vista.
