Like the title says, the wifi on my wag120n stopped working. It happened suddenly, nothing was changed in the settings. It stopped showing when i'm searching for wireless connections (SSID is still enabled).
View 3 RepliesMy WAG120N router has stopped working completely. None of the Ethernet ports or the wi-fi signal button is lit,power light continues to blink for 10 odd mins and then comes to a rest. Tried to login to admin portal without any success, tried to reset it pressing the reset button in the back without any success.Tried the 30-30-30 reset method without success too.

I wanted to amplify signals as the current router is not able to beam signals that far. Hence I wanted to set this up as a WiFi repeater to have a complete coverage. I tried N number of ways but could not succeed.
View 1 Replies View RelatedJust got a WAG120N modem/router , everything is set up and works fine.But I am very disappointed with its wifi range.After using an iPhone and a PSP , I found that, its range is 1,80 meters only, in empty room.Is it faulty ? I cant believe its range is too short although I know that its not "enhanced speed & range" as typed on box.I tried all combination of channels/protocols with no success and it's already flashed on latest version. I really cant connect to my wifi devices.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have had a WAG320N running problem free for approx 2 months, in that time I've upgraded the firmware 1.00.12 with no issues and has run fine for a month after upgrade. I have 3 laptops connected wirelessly and 2 pc's running wired (through homeplug system) plus TV, PS3 and ipods, all have run without issues.
All of a sudden 2 days ago all wireless connectivity stopped? SSID is still broadcasting and viewable but I can no longer connect with any computer or device. Wired connectivity is working fine.
I've checked security settings, turned off encryption, reset factory defaults, re-downloaded latest firmware and reflashed with no luck. As I said wirless stopped working all of a sudden with no changes to settings.
After trying to communicate between an XP machine and Win7 using static IP and a crossover cable my wireless card stopped working. I did make the mistake of trying Homegroups prior to that.
It says Unidentified network and constantly remains in the Public Profile. Not even WiFi Sync is working...diagnostics reveal a problem with the drivers though several have been tried. From the originals to the latest version...Properties describe the device is working normally?
I just bought a macbook and want to connect with my WAG320N. I have no problem to connect on 54mbs what tells me that I'm on Wifi G. The settings in my router was on b/g/n so I changed it to just N but then it won't connect. I don't get error or nothing. I just doesn't connect. I tried all different kind of settings but no luck.

It didn't automatically connect to the wifi, so I opened the connections window to connect to a network and it said "Windows cannot find any networks." I refreshed several times and nothing happened. I clicked the option underneath "Diagnose why windows can't find any networks," and it came back with "This computer does not have a wireless adapter installed and configured." I then opened up the device manager, and under network Adapters, the only thing is "Intel(R) 82566DC-2 Gigabit Network Connection." I checked it out and it says it's working properly, and I believe that this adapter is for when you actually connect a cable directly to the PC.

I have been able to use the Wi-Fi several times since I received the Kindle, but there have now been two failures to connect. The first time I just unplugged the router power and connections, restarted the modem, and rebooted my computer. The Wi-Fi then worked. Now I am experiencing a failure to connect again.
I have noticed that when I restart my computer I have to connect to the internet directly by pulling the cable from the router and putting it from the modem to the computer. This seems to teach the router what it is supposed to do, because when I reconnect the modem to the router the internet starts to work immediately.I have tried changing the password to wireless internet, but my Kindle still will no longer connect. I bought a TP-Link TL-WR740R Router, the setup went smoothly, I could connect to the internet and set up WiFi connection. But after a few hours, I accidentally unplugged the Ethernet cable from the router, and since then, I can't seem to make the router work. (I obviously plugged it back in.) Setup says I have a problem with the WAN connection.I tried rebooting, resting, reconfiguring, cloning the MAC address.The router is sending packages, but receiving none. How could this happen just by unplugging the cable for a second?
After reinstalling the os on my Acer Aspire 5102 I can no longer use wifi to connect to internet. Control panel does not chow any wifi card. However the wifi light on the front panel does switch on.

Checked everything it says to check.Im swapping from an ordinary adsl modem but i unplugged all of that and the WAG120N shows steady Power , 1 ethernet number lit and flashing ok, Wireless is lit and DSL is also also lit. Rebooted a few times too.

When i replace the linksys router with an old netgear one all works well and the ipad can find the printer and print. Enable the Linksys router and the printer is no longer found on the ipad. other forums suggest this relates to handling of the Bonjour protocol ... any resolution for this so i dont have to go back to legacy speed on my home wifi?

The thing is, when it is disconnected, the adsl lamp is still on, so I think that it is not the network problem. When internet lamp turns off , I try to turn off the device (or unplug the phone cable), then turn it on again (or re-plug the cable), and it will work for certain minutes, then gets disconnected again. I already upgraded the firmware to v 1.00.12.

2)If I acces the WAG120N by Lan the internet works fine but if i acces through wirless it does not.
3)Also when ever i connect the LAN cable from BELKIN router to WAG 120N the wirless services stop as well on the BElkin router and i cant figure it out why.
