My WAG120N router has stopped working completely. None of the Ethernet ports or the wi-fi signal button is lit,power light continues to blink for 10 odd mins and then comes to a rest. Tried to login to admin portal without any success, tried to reset it pressing the reset button in the back without any success.Tried the 30-30-30 reset method without success too.

Almost 3 months ago the router stopped working completely and I started to search for support in Uruguay.After calling US support I was told I should contact the local or regional D-Link (which I later found is D-Link LA). And via DLinkLA.com I found the company TELEDATA S.A. url... who does the official support for D-Link in Uruguay. They told me the router couldn't be fixed, and told me DLinkLA, which is based in Chile, would either send me a working one (they also told me the service/warrany was already approved), or send me the money and gave me their contact details.After two weeks of contacting them, trying to get their attention, they finally told me it was not their responsibility because it was bought in the US. And now they don't return my e-mails.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI posted my complaint on Amazon.com recently. My E4200 router stopped allowing traffic through ports completely. I was able to unplug the power and allow the router to cool, and the router would work for a while then stop after about 10 minutes. I assume that the unit was overheating, but I do not have the equipment of a test facility.I bought a Belkin AC 1200 router which is a bit of an upgrade from Amazon.com. I do not think that there is anything that Linksys can do for me as my warranty expired. I just thought that when I spent what was to me a lot of money the router should have lasted longer.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had a WAG320N running problem free for approx 2 months, in that time I've upgraded the firmware 1.00.12 with no issues and has run fine for a month after upgrade. I have 3 laptops connected wirelessly and 2 pc's running wired (through homeplug system) plus TV, PS3 and ipods, all have run without issues.
All of a sudden 2 days ago all wireless connectivity stopped? SSID is still broadcasting and viewable but I can no longer connect with any computer or device. Wired connectivity is working fine.
I've checked security settings, turned off encryption, reset factory defaults, re-downloaded latest firmware and reflashed with no luck. As I said wirless stopped working all of a sudden with no changes to settings.

I bought a TP-Link TL-WR740R Router, the setup went smoothly, I could connect to the internet and set up WiFi connection. But after a few hours, I accidentally unplugged the Ethernet cable from the router, and since then, I can't seem to make the router work. (I obviously plugged it back in.) Setup says I have a problem with the WAN connection.I tried rebooting, resting, reconfiguring, cloning the MAC address.The router is sending packages, but receiving none. How could this happen just by unplugging the cable for a second?

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy WAG120N wireless router disconnects every hour, precisely at the same time. This problem has started a few days ago, until then everything was fine.When the connection is gone, the "Internet" light goes off, the other lights remain on. For example, it disconnects at 07:30. It takes a minute or two to reconnect. Then it disconnects at 08:31. It reconnects, and then disconnects at 09:32.. and so on.Here are the things that I have tried (with my limited knowledge.. I'm not good with technology):- Turned the power on/off. No matter what time I do this at, the router disconnects at the same time again. For example, if it last disconnected at 07:30, and I turn it off and on at 7:50, it still disconnects at 08:31.- I tried resetting it, by pushing and holding the reset button on the back for 30-60 seconds (did it several times). Reconfigured the router (manually, not from a backup config file). Same situation as above, disconnects at the same time as always.
- I upgraded the IOS to v1.00.16, which I found here: [URL] reset and then reconfigured again. Still it didn't work.- Looked in the configuration pages for any values that resemble a 60 minute time span, and changed them. Only thing I found was the security key renewal period. Or was I sold a faulty product?

However, 3 days ago it decided to go haywire. 1) It does not connect to the internet 2) It does not detect/connect to the computer when LAN cable is plugged in (does not load in 192.168.1.1) 3) I have tried resetting the router many times and even holding the reset button for 30 secs and switching off and switching on but to no avail. 4) I have had a linksys live chat with Johnel and he determined that it may be a possible hardware problem 5) Current Status of the Router: It makes no attempt to establish any connection/load whenever turned on, as seen when no lights are blinking when switched on. Our department is assigned only one Static IP from our server, so only one pc can connect to the server and the internet. I use the first lan port of the Wag-120N as a WAN port and i assign the Static IP address there, along with the subnet, default gateway and DNS addresses. The connected clients are assigned then an ip address from the router's DHCP (192.168.1.10x), but cannot connect to the internet. How can i configure the router to allow the clients to connect?

My problem is that the router block the network scan and the app can't find the tv; is there somethig i can chack in the configuration or that else to permit the local network scan?

My Linksys router stopped working. Resetting it didn't restore it.I bought a new Linksys E4200 router and configured it to the same settings as my old router. However, now I can't access certain website like Hotmail, Facebook, a weather site and others.But I can connect to most other websites, stream video, etc. Any suggestions why I can't connect to Hotmail, Facebook, etc???? I used another computer to hook up with the ethernet cable because that wouldn't work wireless for some reason. A little while after that, the Linksys network stopped working completely(all three computers could not access the internet). Now I can only connect to the internet if I use a ethernet cable from the modem.

I no longer saw my router listed in my available wireless networks, and neither could my girlfriend from her computer. I unplugged the router to see if one of the available networks had disappeared in case my router had somehow been reset, and nothing changed so my computer isnt even seeing my router. Right now, I am wired through the router so I know the router works, but the wireless part doesnt for some reason. I was looking up stuff in the FAQ, and think the firmware is corrupted since the LEDs are all blinking. I was trying to update my firmware following the instructions I found using tftp.exe, however it failed. One problem is that I can't set up a static IP address since I need to access the web-based utility to check my DNS server but I cannot access the web-based utility anymore (maybe cause of the corrupted firmware?). On a related note, there is someone else in my building using a linksys with the default network name of linksys. I had changed my network's name and security-protected it, though that is all likely gone now since I tried to reset the router. My question is what will the network name of my router be if I saw it since "linksys" is already taken. or will there just be two of them?

Came home after work last night and couldn't connect to the internet. Called Charter cable this morning and their troubleshooting showed I can connect to the internet fine if I bypass the router, so the issue must be with the router (and of course not their problem...). How do I trouble shoot this? I've tried powering down the router and releasing and renewing IP addresses but it hasn't worked.

It wouldn't make that much of a difference, but I already purchased a new LInksys Cisco EA3500, but I cannot get it to do my port forwarding. I have tried everything and nothing works. Have spent hours on the phone with tech support with no solution. My old WRT54GS just simply worked. The port forwarding worked perfect. I have tried the exact same setup in the new EA3500 and no luck no matter what I try.
So, is there anything I can do to get the old WRT54GS working? I have tried holding the reset button in for 1 minute and then unplugging it
My M20 Valet Plus stopped working suddenly last night. Now no power lights will come on and it now longer transmitts as a connection point . No apparent sign that it's alive. I've owned it troublefree for just over a year, but it is out of warranty. Any way to tell if there is hope of reviving it or if I'm just out of luck? Nothing happened at my end to cause this -- no power interruptions or other odd occurrences.
