I have a 3G USB modem connected to my desktop and I would like to share the internet connection to other devices wirelessly using the WAG120n ADSL router. How do I set up the IP's manually on the router and my PC to do this? And which other setting do I need to set?
Recently, i bought a LinkSys WAG120N ANNEX-A to replace my old speedstrem4200. Well everything was fine, but after 2 days of it installed, it started to drop my ADSL connection.
Sometimes, it remain connected for 4-5 hours, then drop, or sometimes, it drop every 30min-1hour.I tried upgrading the firmware to 1.00.16, but no luck, it still drop the connection.I have 3 computer plugged to the router via cable(wired) plus 1 netbook(wireless) and 1 ipod (wireless).Sometimes, when 1 computer is turned off, it seem to make the ADSL connection drop when the LAN light turn off. I noticed everytime it drop the ADSL connection, in the logs, i get this:
I tried changing the MTU settings in the router to 1492 (my ISP default) but didnt work.
Tried changing the MTU to 1492 on every computer and still got the same problem.For now im using the WAG120N in bridge mode, and still using my old speedstream4200 as ADSL modem.
After the upgrade in v1.00.16 Annexe A, I've a problem ADSL sync with the WAG120N, the router don't need the sync, how to back the v1.00.12 Annexe A.
I only have access to rather slow connections (256 Kbps). But since I have two lines and two modems, I was wondering if I could bond them together and make a faster one. My main modem is a Lynksys WAG120N Wireless-N ADSL2+ Modem Router, which as you can see is also in charge of both wired and wireless networks at my place. The second one is an older D-Link ADSL modem (JUST modem).Since I have an extra LAN port on my Lynksys modem, I want to know if and how I can connect the second modem, and combine the two rates.

I've got Cisco X2000 and WAG120N. Is it possible to use one of those as a kind of a 'ADSL bridge' on to connected Sonic wall firewall ? How I picture it is that adsl connection is terminating on one of above Cisco boxes, which is connected via Ethernet or wan port to sonic wall, and it's only passing the adsl connection on to sonic wall which in result will end up with my ISP assigned IP address ?
I recently purchase WAG120N on a recommendation from a cisco personal, after my long year work horse Linksys AG 241 went kaput.Since I have purchased it WAG120N it is never stabilized on the MTNL ADSL network. There is too much of frequent disconnection. Although I have raised this issue with cisco support # 121128-000336 and 121122-004290, but all they have asked me to replace the WAG120N gateway. [code]
when choosing "Mixed" or "N-only" as Network Mode on the Basic Wireless Settings configuration page, the mode resets to "B/G-Mixed" or "G-only" respectively when saving. In other words, it is not possible to use the N network mode.

I have a ADSL Huwavi modem by my ISP installed at my place.. Now the wireless from that device is very bad.. So I purchased WAG120N to setup a daisy-chain kind of setup in my other bedroom. I also put another D-link DIR-600 in between to give a connection to the first floor (via Ethernet cable).
So my huwavi is the ISP device, then a LAN from it goes to the dlink internet (WAN) port. then one cable from the d-link LAN port to the LAN1 of WAG120N and another upstairs.
Now all of this was working perfectly.. I put same SSIDs and Pwds on both ISP router and WAG120N and i was getting seamless net..
Now yesterday we removed the ISP modem to do some shifting.. Upon reconnecting, the ISP modem, Dlink work as before, but the WAG120N refuses to connect to the net.. it shows DSL down and doesn't access the www.
What I felt is that since i changed LAN ports on my ISP device and dlink, the static IP settings on the WAG120N should be changed.. i modified it, set to to point to the dlink for internet and huwavie for DHCP.. yet nothings happening..
I even connected the WAG120N directly to the Huwavie, yet it fails to connect to the net..
I don't know if this because buggy firmware (i updated to V1.00.16) or there something wrong with the device but if i set radio band to AUTO which enable wide-channel, my wireless connection become unstable when i ping to the modem, i got 200ms - timeout randomly
my family notebook that on other side of room connection also become more worst , ping to the modem (192.168.1.1) timeout so often
the connections seems better if i set radio band to standard - 20Mhz channel even though it seems WAG54G2 have more stable wireless connection (i replace it because the ethernet port dead) i also tried to change the channel, but the issue still persist, it seems the default is the most stable (channel 9 for wide, 11 for standard)
should i RMA the product as i just purchase last week? or it just because the bad firmware ?
I have WAG120N and I want to use ssh tunneling to browse the net.In windows, I have to use a software like putty or xShell to establish a ssh connection to remote server.It works perfectly and I don't have any problem with it.The problem occurs when I want to use this ssh account in linux.At first,connection established without any problem or error.After 2-3 minutes it seems ssh dies and no data transmitted through ssh tunnel.I tried this with Symphony ADSL modem(Wired only) and I have no problem with it.I want to know if there's any specific problem or configuration for WAG120N to solve this problem?I like this modem/router and I don't want to sell it and buy any other modem/ router.I have to mention that usually I use wired connections to WAG120N,but at some cases I need to use its wireless features.
From time to time, when I wake up an specific station from sleep mode, the router loses its connection with Internet. It still has the line synced, but there is no Internet connection.I still can access the router through browser though. If I hit "connect" to establish a manual connection, it does not work. I have to switch the router off and on and wait for the whole process of syncing and connection, then I have Internet again.
I thought this could be something on that PC (old XP) sending some weird packet to router when I wake it up, but I tried with a newer PC (Win 7 64 bits) and the same problem persists. Also, this only happens when I wake up the PC. If it is off and I turn on, or if I restart, the problem does not happen.
The router (WAG120N) has an old firmware version (V1.00.12) because the latest available is buggy and had some problem with my ISP (limiting the bandwidth). However, I have this firmware for like 6 months and the problem only started 2 months ago.
Yesterday I bought the Linksys Wireless-N Home ADSL2+ Modem Router WAG120N (Annex-A version). I configured the modem/router and it was working very well. Today I was surfing the internet just fine and I left my computer for a few minutes, when I came back I noticed that there is no internet connection. The internet light on the modem was no longer on, and the DSL one was blinking. I turned off the device and then turned it back on but the issue was still present. I tried restoring the factory default settings and configuring the modem again but nothing seems to work (resetting the modem, turning off every device connected to it and restarting the modem/router). The DSL light keeps blinking, turns off for a couple seconds and then starts blinking again. The internet light only appears when I restart the modem and it flashes red just after turning the device on.
I have a problem with my wag120n and iphone or ipad or macbook.The connection works well for about 1-2 hours then stops.so with macbook i have to disable airport and connect to the network again with iPad or iPhone i have to turn-off and REturn-on the wifi.I have already changed the wireless channel but this didn't work form me.
I got a spare WAG160N lying around which I want to test to see if I can get a better range with it than my current router.My internet is connected via a cable modem which I connect to the ethernet port 1 on the WAG160N - which in my experience with other wireless routers - will work and broadcasts internet through wifi. However I can't seem to get it to work.After doing a bit of searching I found that some people say this isn't possible on the WAG160N while others say it's possible if I switch the port 1 to "Use as WAN port" in the ethernet setting tab page (Tried it, still doesn't work). I can obviously connect to the router setting page but no internet is flowing through (And the internet LED does not light up)
What settings do I need to use to make this work or is it indeed impossible? It's in bridge mode only at the moment with other settings untouched from factory defaults.One person says it's possible but I can only get it to work with 1 device because it's assigning the public IP on the cable modem onto the one device - but I couldn't get this to work either.
How do I set up the WAG120N as a router only as I no longer want to use it as modem and router?I want to connect the WAG120N thru a cable to a modem that will make the internet connection and use the WAG120N as a wireless router only.

My WAG120N wireless router disconnects every hour, precisely at the same time. This problem has started a few days ago, until then everything was fine.When the connection is gone, the "Internet" light goes off, the other lights remain on. For example, it disconnects at 07:30. It takes a minute or two to reconnect. Then it disconnects at 08:31. It reconnects, and then disconnects at 09:32.. and so on.Here are the things that I have tried (with my limited knowledge.. I'm not good with technology):- Turned the power on/off. No matter what time I do this at, the router disconnects at the same time again. For example, if it last disconnected at 07:30, and I turn it off and on at 7:50, it still disconnects at 08:31.- I tried resetting it, by pushing and holding the reset button on the back for 30-60 seconds (did it several times). Reconfigured the router (manually, not from a backup config file). Same situation as above, disconnects at the same time as always.
- I upgraded the IOS to v1.00.16, which I found here: [URL] reset and then reconfigured again. Still it didn't work.- Looked in the configuration pages for any values that resemble a 60 minute time span, and changed them. Only thing I found was the security key renewal period. Or was I sold a faulty product?
My WAG120N router overheating and stuck repeatedly every 4-5 hours. How i can solve this problem? I buy this router 3-4 months ago...Is hardware or software issue?

I recently purchased the Linksys Wireless N Home WAG120N and I've hooked it up correctly but I can't seem to establish a connection with the DSL light. I've tried hooking it up to different ends in my house with no improved results, however, my older modem works fine.
I have been using it since approx 6months ago. Previously it was working well except for some major signal issues. However, 3 days ago it decided to go haywire. 1) It does not connect to the internet 2) It does not detect/connect to the computer when LAN cable is plugged in (does not load in 192.168.1.1) 3) I have tried resetting the router many times and even holding the reset button for 30 secs and switching off and switching on but to no avail. 4) I have had a linksys live chat with Johnel and he determined that it may be a possible hardware problem 5) Current Status of the Router: It makes no attempt to establish any connection/load whenever turned on, as seen when no lights are blinking when switched on. Upon switching on, Power Light becomes Red and Internet Light becomes Red and the middle Refresh Button become Red. 6) I have tried installing the driver for the router but there is no way I can install the driver because the computer does not detect that the router is connected What can I do about these? 1) Can I get a replacement of a different model? This router has been giving me problems since Day 1 2) I am seriously considering switching my service provider from M1 to Starhub. If that is the case, is there any way I can be replaced with a Cable Modem instead of ADSL Modem?
Now unable to connect laptop wirelessly. The laptop can see the connection, but when I click it to connect it just doesn't. Have tried rebooting both laptop, desktop and modem, left it overnight, can't connect smartphone to it either. All were working perfectly until I had to reinstall.
I have a linksys WAG120N router updated to 1.00.16and I have Wi-Fi problems that while I use Wi-Fi on my laptop or mobile then the Wi-Fi disconnected (wifi on router still green but i can't connect ) until i restart router.

I am using the WAG-120 N as an AP and switch for 3 laptops and 2 desktops. Our department is assigned only one Static IP from our server, so only one pc can connect to the server and the internet. I use the first lan port of the Wag-120N as a WAN port and i assign the Static IP address there, along with the subnet, default gateway and DNS addresses. The connected clients are assigned then an ip address from the router's DHCP (192.168.1.10x), but cannot connect to the internet. How can i configure the router to allow the clients to connect?
i just bought a sony lcd tv and this model can be controlled by a smartphone via an app called mediaremote. The app should scan the local network and find the tv and than, after pairing, you can use the smartphone as remote controller over Wi-Fi.
My problem is that the router block the network scan and the app can't find the tv; is there somethig i can chack in the configuration or that else to permit the local network scan?
I tried to connect tv and smartphone to the neighbour wifi and the app woks perfect so i'm sure that is a my network problem.
I am using wag120n modem router but is confused abt how to setup it's wireless security.The wireless securit setting recommended in tutorial given here is very different from what is given in my routrs setting up page.

I have the cisco WAG120N router. In order to avoid constant radiation I would like to be able to connect my computer and router using an ethernet cable and if possible disconnect and use it wireless when I need more than one computers or netbooks to be connected to the internet. I tried to connect my computer with the router using an ethernet cable but I realized that I continued to have the wireless network on.
