Linksys Cable / DSL :: WAG120N No Internet Connection / DSL Light Keeps Blinking

Yesterday I bought the Linksys Wireless-N Home ADSL2+ Modem Router WAG120N (Annex-A version). I configured the modem/router and it was working very well. Today I was surfing the internet just fine and I left my computer for a few minutes, when I came back I noticed that there is no internet connection. The internet light on the modem was no longer on, and the DSL one was blinking. I turned off the device and then turned it back on but the issue was still present. I tried restoring the factory default settings and configuring the modem again but nothing seems to work (resetting the modem, turning off every device connected to it and restarting the modem/router). The DSL light keeps blinking, turns off for a couple seconds and then starts blinking again. The internet light only appears when I restart the modem and it flashes red just after turning the device on.

My WAG120N power light is always red whenever plugged in. I can't access the configuration page. My adapter works fine and the Reset button doesn't work. I can't find any troubleshoot for the "red power light" problem in user manual !

I recently purchased the Linksys Wireless N Home WAG120N and I've hooked it up correctly but I can't seem to establish a connection with the DSL light. I've tried hooking it up to different ends in my house with no improved results, however, my older modem works fine.

I have had a Dlink dir 615 for some time now and always had a few issues, but nothing a reboot of the router couldn't solve. This time the problem is persisting, though. The wireless signal keeps blinking and on my laptop it says No internet connection. I've rebooted the router, restored the router, rebooted the modem, and nothing seems to work.

I recently switched from a DSL ISP (Earthlink, Zyxel modem configured as a bridge, pppoE connect) to a cable ISP (Comcast, Arris cable modem, dhcp connect). Basically PC --> DIR615-->Cable modem-->Internets. With the old DSL the Internet activity LED (green, looks triangular) on the DIR615 blinked only when internet activity occurred. With the new Comcast connection it blinks non-stop about 5 times a second! Even if the PC is turned off it blinks. It stops blinking if I disconnect the ethernet cable between router and modem. The connection itself is fine, but if the DIR615 is doing something it should not be doing it might slow the connection down a bit, (or burn something out prematurely?)FYI, the Arris cable modem does not seem to be a router. It takes a cable connection from outside and provides a single ethernet cable and 2 (voice) telephone cables to the house.

I will just explain my setup:
I have a ADSL Huwavi modem by my ISP installed at my place.. Now the wireless from that device is very bad.. So I purchased WAG120N to setup a daisy-chain kind of setup in my other bedroom. I also put another D-link DIR-600 in between to give a connection to the first floor (via Ethernet cable).
So my huwavi is the ISP device, then a LAN from it goes to the dlink internet (WAN) port. then one cable from the d-link LAN port to the LAN1 of WAG120N and another upstairs.
Now all of this was working perfectly.. I put same SSIDs and Pwds on both ISP router and WAG120N and i was getting seamless net..
Now yesterday we removed the ISP modem to do some shifting.. Upon reconnecting, the ISP modem, Dlink work as before, but the WAG120N refuses to connect to the net.. it shows DSL down and doesn't access the www.
What I felt is that since i changed LAN ports on my ISP device and dlink, the static IP settings on the WAG120N should be changed.. i modified it, set to to point to the dlink for internet and huwavie for DHCP.. yet nothings happening..
I even connected the WAG120N directly to the Huwavie, yet it fails to connect to the net..

From time to time, when I wake up an specific station from sleep mode, the router loses its connection with Internet. It still has the line synced, but there is no Internet connection.I still can access the router through browser though. If I hit "connect" to establish a manual connection, it does not work. I have to switch the router off and on and wait for the whole process of syncing and connection, then I have Internet again.
I thought this could be something on that PC (old XP) sending some weird packet to router when I wake it up, but I tried with a newer PC (Win 7 64 bits) and the same problem persists. Also, this only happens when I wake up the PC. If it is off and I turn on, or if I restart, the problem does not happen.
The router (WAG120N) has an old firmware version (V1.00.12) because the latest available is buggy and had some problem with my ISP (limiting the bandwidth). However, I have this firmware for like 6 months and the problem only started 2 months ago.

I have a Linksys WRT54GS vers 7.2 Router on an iMac OS X Leopard. The other day I was in the middle of downloading an upgrade for the router when Firefox gave me this message: "Firefox can't find the server". I was no longer able to access the internet, and the router's green power light was left flashing. It flashed for over 24 hours. I tried unplugging the router and shutting down the computer, then plugging in the router and turning on the computer. (I don't have a modem.) The light was still flashing. I tried pressing the logo button for 5 seconds. Still flashing. Tried pressing the reset button in the back. Still flashing. 'I can't get on the internet or into the router. Linksys live chat gave me a link to "Upgrading the router’s firmware using the TFTP utility", which involves a download, but I can't download anything because I can't access the internet.

when choosing "Mixed" or "N-only" as Network Mode on the Basic Wireless Settings configuration page, the mode resets to "B/G-Mixed" or "G-only" respectively when saving. In other words, it is not possible to use the N network mode.

I don't know if this because buggy firmware (i updated to V1.00.16) or there something wrong with the device but if i set radio band to AUTO which enable wide-channel, my wireless connection become unstable when i ping to the modem, i got 200ms - timeout randomly
my family notebook that on other side of room connection also become more worst , ping to the modem (192.168.1.1) timeout so often
the connections seems better if i set radio band to standard - 20Mhz channel even though it seems WAG54G2 have more stable wireless connection (i replace it because the ethernet port dead) i also tried to change the channel, but the issue still persist, it seems the default is the most stable (channel 9 for wide, 11 for standard)
should i RMA the product as i just purchase last week? or it just because the bad firmware ?

Recently, i bought a LinkSys WAG120N ANNEX-A to replace my old speedstrem4200. Well everything was fine, but after 2 days of it installed, it started to drop my ADSL connection.
Sometimes, it remain connected for 4-5 hours, then drop, or sometimes, it drop every 30min-1hour.I tried upgrading the firmware to 1.00.16, but no luck, it still drop the connection.I have 3 computer plugged to the router via cable(wired) plus 1 netbook(wireless) and 1 ipod (wireless).Sometimes, when 1 computer is turned off, it seem to make the ADSL connection drop when the LAN light turn off. I noticed everytime it drop the ADSL connection, in the logs, i get this:

I tried changing the MTU settings in the router to 1492 (my ISP default) but didnt work.
Tried changing the MTU to 1492 on every computer and still got the same problem.For now im using the WAG120N in bridge mode, and still using my old speedstream4200 as ADSL modem.

I have WAG120N and I want to use ssh tunneling to browse the net.In windows, I have to use a software like putty or xShell to establish a ssh connection to remote server.It works perfectly and I don't have any problem with it.The problem occurs when I want to use this ssh account in linux.At first,connection established without any problem or error.After 2-3 minutes it seems ssh dies and no data transmitted through ssh tunnel.I tried this with Symphony ADSL modem(Wired only) and I have no problem with it.I want to know if there's any specific problem or configuration for WAG120N to solve this problem?I like this modem/router and I don't want to sell it and buy any other modem/ router.I have to mention that usually I use wired connections to WAG120N,but at some cases I need to use its wireless features.

I have a problem with my wag120n and iphone or ipad or macbook.The connection works well for about 1-2 hours then stops.so with macbook i have to disable airport and connect to the network again with iPad or iPhone i have to turn-off and REturn-on the wifi.I have already changed the wireless channel but this didn't work form me.

I am using WAG120N, and it keeps disconnected from internet randomly, normally between 5-10 minutes. The thing is, when it is disconnected, the adsl lamp is still on, so I think that it is not the network problem. When internet lamp turns off , I try to turn off the device (or unplug the phone cable), then turn it on again (or re-plug the cable), and it will work for certain minutes, then gets disconnected again. I already upgraded the firmware to v 1.00.12.

I recently got a Linksys WAG120n wireless modem but I have a problem with its Wireless.whenever I want to connect to the wireless of the modem I have to reboot the modem. or I cannot connect to it or if I connect I do not have internet access the cable LAN interface of the modem is working is working properly.I used Mixed (b/g/n) as network mode and wpa2/psk as authentication mode with using preshared key.and the channel is 11. no matter if I enable MAC filtering for wireless or not it is just the same.my laptop is a HP G42 with a Ralink 3090 wireless card and I have installed the latest manufacturer driver of the wireless Card.but it is not working .even sometimes laptop cannot find the linksys modem until I reboot the modem.as I have found there is no newer firmwire on cisco site for this modem to upgrade.

I have a wag120n ADSL modem. When I turn on the modem, after about 30 min to 1 hour DSL LED light flashing and then internet LED light turn off, and disconnect from internet. And modem does not connecting to internet until I turn off and turn on again the modem. I check with other modem it is working fine and DSL line is not the problem. Also I installed the latest firmware and that not solved the problem.

My Wireless-G WRT54G router has a blinking power light and the startup software says "Unable to connect to the Router! Check that the Router has been connected to the computer, and that your Ethernet adapter is working." I tried uploading the firmware but I can't get to the router page to update. Is there a known problem or solution here or am I just going to have to find the router page?

So I recently upgraded from a WRT54GS to a WRT160N v2, all was well and good for about 3 days. Then I would lose my internet connection every 5 minutes or so, it would fix itself by the time I could open up command prompt and start pinging to pin point the problem. I decided I would update the firmware to see if that would fix the issue. Since doing that the power light has been blinking non stop. I've tried restoring it to factory defaults by holding the reset button for 30seconds, turning it off for 2 minutes and back on. That little blue light just keeps flashing. I can't even access the router setting page using 192.168.1.1. My OS is Windows xp x64 sp2, and I have DSL.

Recently I shifted to ADSL2+ Internet broadband.So purchased "CISCO Linksys WAG120N" router as my firewall hardware( FortiGate60) had no any port to connect to ADSL.Now I'm accessing internet throug the above Linksys router and do not use the firewall as I don't know how to configure the firewall to get the internet access through firewall from the router.My earlier broadband service was directly connected to the firewall's WAN port as it was compatible.configure the firewall to access the internet from the router through the firewall.

I am using linksys cisco wag120n adsl2 modem router.When I start the router the internet speed seems great but after some time the speed drops miserably. When I again restart the router the speed seems great for few mins but again drops after sometime.It happens in both LAN and wireless mode.The firmware version of the router is 1.00.16
I was going through the problems posted by some other user but observed that cisco people are not heraing to them.Seems made a mistake by associating with cisco product.This is the worst router I have ever used.The wireless also gets disconnected abruptly.Next time I'll avoid cisco.Cisco is all about stone age products and zero customer care.

I have local WI-Fi network with 2 Macs, 2 PC's, iPhone, iPod and i Pad at home on Link sys WAG120N router. On i Pad when I try to connect to Internet I have to turn WiFi off and on. It works for a while but after waking i Pad from sleep I have to switch off and on again. It really drives me crazy. Sometimes (hardly ever) it happens on my iPhone 4 (same network setup as on i Pad). Other devices connect to Internet whenever I need.

No download available and none available via Linksys Live Chat or FTP and having spent the best part of the week trying to find relevant firmware on other forums I decided to come here to get answers to the following questions, hopefully from version 1.0 experienced owners or not.
#1. Can the firmware of version 2.0 and 3.0 be reduced to flash version 1.0?
#2. When diagnosing the blinking power light issue by connecting directly to the router and the network card using "ping -t 192.168.1.xxx" which network address do I use, 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.2 to 2xx?
I get a reply using 192.168.1.1 but I'm not sure that works when using the TFTP Utility if it's the wrong address on my Laptop to ping?

I've seen related to flashing power lights on the router involve fixes via firmware upgrades off a PC.I'm on an iMac os 10.6.7. The WRT54 used to work as a wireless modem a couple of years ago. Tonight, it doesn't. power light blinks. Can't access any webpage interface for the thing. Reset, power down, computer restart, cable modem turn off don't change anything. Is there anything that can be done other than tossing the linksys? If that is the only option, are there wireless routers more suitable for a Mac?
