Now when I do a search with google almost every time it looks like the information site listed I click on it and am redirected to another search and if I try to go back to google search it will not let me off the page. I end up having to close that window and open a new window and research again on google. I open my old internet explorer and the same thing happens there now.

View 6 Replies View RelatedJust setting up and testing a Cisco 891-K9 router. Used CCP for basic setup, figure I'll tweak any settings needed later.For the firewall, I chose the default "medium" security setting in CCP, then added some holes (already setup in NAT) for outside access in.
Now on to the real question:I noticed that I am now unable to click through google search results. On any borwser. Clicking on any search result simply loops back around to the same google search page. If I disable Javascript on the browser, everything works as expected. So it appears that the firewall is preventing something in google's scripts from redirecting and "clicking through" to the final destination page.
I'm familiar with our old Pix firewall commands, but still a relative newcomer to the zone based firewall and commands for this new 891, (relevant Config pasted below) (Gi0 is the WAN interface)

We have around 70 1131's on our 4404 WLC and there are around 5 of them which always seem to reset themselves to Admin Status = Disable. They are in H-REAP mode as are all the other AP's, but for some reason I have to keep going in and setting the Admin Status of the AP to Enable. This has been occuring across different firmaware versions since 4, we are currently running 7.

Just installed my new 8960 and it's working fine. However, I'd like to disable admin access from wireless, and only have that available via the LAN. I can't find anything that looks like it'll do that in any of the setup pages, is it possible? All previous wireless routers I've had have been able to do this.
how to totaly disable Admin/ASDM access on our public interface of our 5510. I don't want to change IPSec or SSL access to the outside interface. Just totaly disable access to Admin/ASDM from the outside without halting all other access.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a small business network computers w/a linux server. One computer was infected with viruses which I removed via kaspersky/norton/malware anti-bytes. I run windows xp professional on this computer.However I run into the following problem:
1) In my network places the documents on the server do not show as a network place-this is despite me being able to access these documents via a folder shortcut
2) After I open the network files/folders from the comp, I am unable to use the find feature because the folder is not listed under the look in drop box. I tried changing workgroups and ran into the same problem.
"Can't find certificate-wireless". I've applied all the suggestions. With and with out Winduh Zero Config and network adapter software. Unchecked 802.1x, changed ecryption types, modem and computer reboots, push little button on back of modem, tried two differnt makes of network adapters, confirmed correct network key typed, etc. All these things in many combinations. Great full signal, no certificate or with software installed no connectivity. Is it time to Ethernet hard wire my network? Is it the Windstream 1704 modem? View 7 Replies View RelatedSince I updated a Catalyst 2960 switch to IOS version 12.2(55)SE1 I can't do searchs by MAC address, when I do "Monitor->Search" the following error appears:"The software version of the selected switch does not support some of the CLI commands in read-only mode for this window. You must have read-write access to this switch to display complete information in this window" If packets are captured you can see that the issued command by the CNA host is "GET /exec/show/mac-address-table/", the answer from the switch is:"show mac-address-table ^% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.
If I do "Configure->Switching->MAC Address" instead I get the mac address-table correctly. In this case the issued command is "GET /exec/show/mac/address-table/dynamic" and no error is displayed, the answer from the switch is the list of mac-address table.
When I ping google from my computer I get 0% packet loss and average ping time is 35ms. But when I ping any device on my network the time is 147ms and 25% loss. Shouldn't it ping my devices faster?

I know the default login is Login: admin / Password: "blank"
So I go into maintence, and there's an option to change the password.
it lists:
old password
newpassword
confirm
So I leave the old password blank and type in my new password in the following 2 spaces. I click apply and a window pops up asking me to enter username and password. I just enter admin and leave the password blank. I hit ok, and everything seems to update ok. So i log out, and try to log back in.

I set it up with DHCP and running on IP 192.168.1.254.Last night, the power tripped, and when everything came up again the entire network was dead - PC's were not getting IP's from DHCP.I connected a known working cable directly from laptop to router and attempted to access 192.168.1.254, nothing.So I reset the router and try again to the default IP 192.168.1.1. Nothing. Tried another PC, nothing.Restart router, try again, nothing. Plugged into my other router and try again, nothing. When I initially got the router I had the same problem until one day it just worked, still no idea why

View 16 Replies View RelatedI run an Allen & Heath digital mixer. The iDr32 mixrack sits on the stage and has a 2 port Ethernet switch on board, which allows the device to be controlled with a PC. If you then add a WiFi router then you can have wireless remote control from a laptop. Allen & Heath also sell an app for iPad to do the same. I have this working quite well although I am receiving no metering data from the Mixrack. Allen & Heath say this is probably because my router does not support multicasting. They list some routers which are recommended, but the list is rather out of date. I am trying to find a suitable dual band router with decent range on both bands. I would prefer a cable type, but since it will not be connected to the internet, it isn't important. When I Google "Multicast capable wifi router" all that comes up is a lot of stuff about video streaming. None of the manufacturers seem to list if their product supports multicasting. I understand that multicasting is usually used for video streaming, but in my case it seems to be a requirement to speed up data between the iPad and the Mixrack. Apparently some users of similar systems have encountered problems with multiple smartphone users in the audience seeking WiFi connections. The solution to this is to use 5GHz band, and switch off the SSID. Some have also found it best to use MAC filtering for security.
