Zte Zxv10 W300 / Pc On Wifi Network Makes All Others Lag?
Oct 19, 2012
wireless connection of my router, which is a ZTE ZXV10 W300 provided by my ISP. Me and my brother have our PCs on the same room and have decent signal at all times. The problem is that when my sister connects her netbook to the network wifi becomes unusable for us. I mean normally ping to the router from my pc is 1ms and when she connects it will get to the thousands or even time out. My sisters netbook has an atheros 9285 card, and the other two computer have a d-link n adapter, and a us robotics g adapter. I have tried multiple configurations such as b/g or b/g/n, with wpa or wpa2 but the problem persists. I checked my sisters netbook for viruses thouroughly, with malwarebytes, microsoft security essential +2-3 other antiviruses and none found anyhting. I also updated her driver to the latest i found. I am getting desperate here, and i do wish i wont have to buy another router. Just to clarify the problem is not internet speed, should be able to handle (and used to be) 5-6 computers at once, it is the connection to the router itself.
Can't port forward port 25565 for Minecraft server via Hamachi. I checked on Open Port Check Tool - Test Port Forwarding on Your Router and GRC*|*Port Authority, for Internet Port 80** both says theyre closed.
I dont know if I need to open firewall or any **** like that, because Im a beginner at networks, so.. That's how it looks like for now: Image - TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting
So I just installed an Asus n15 wireless adapter in my desktop and my internet is extremely slow ( 1.5 mbps) while my laptop is sitting at around 15, and my other desktop which is hardwired is running at around 20. for reference I am using speedtest.net to find these numbers.
I have a problem with my internet connection. It started some weeks ago and i called my ISP , they checked my phone line and they said that everything is working correctly. They said that the problem might be my router.I bought a new router ( ZTE ZXV10 W300 V5.2 ) but the problem persists. I changed all the cables tried using the internet without any telephone device connected to my phone line , i changed antivirus program ( from norton to avast ) It just wont stop dropping! My ISP told me that the problem might be a program from my computer.Note that the connection mostly drops when im playing online games but it drops when im surfing too.By the way, can the reason of the internet drops be a virus? url...[code]
I work in a school department and wanted to hardwire two computers in my class using a workgroup switch. I only had one data port in my class. The tech guy told me the switch could cause the entire network to crash. Is that true? I thought a switch was just a passthrough device.
when the wireless router is plugged in to my acer desktop computer (running on windows 7) it will cause the desktop to reboot itself numerous times what do i need to do to make this stop so i can hook up wireless to the laptops i have?

We have 2 land lines in our house and I have an Adsl system installed on one of them (lets say line2)The problem is when I connect the panasonic cordless phone to line1, after 15 to 30 mins the adsl malfunctions on line2!I have checked the line1 with another panasonic cordless phone (older model) and the problem doesn't persist.I have used adsl filter and it didn't work and I can't throw out our new phone and use the old one!
As seen from the pic below, I have DIR-655 with hardware revision B1 and firmware version 2.0. The printed, online, and in router manual says that there should be ALG section at the bottom, but as you can see there is nothing there. Is there any setting that makes the ALG section hidden?
Hooked up router and my laptop is connected to internet. Tablet attempting to get my wifi says " obtaining IP address from linksys" buts never makes the connection. how to get connection and keeping a secure wireless connection?

do you think there would be a visible (or negligible) difference in internet speed if I used a hardware firewall as opposed to the router's inbuilt firewall? So assuming that all switches/ports were Gigabit Ethernet compatible (including the firewall itself), would it be a better idea to turn off the router/modem's firewall and use the hardware firewall, or would it be best to just stick with the router firewall? The reasoning behind this is that I'm not a big fan of Netgear... or their firewall system. After recent DDoS attacks (and IP address changes), I've decided to put a computer that was lying around to good use - Use it as a (Linux) firewall. iptables, here we come. - Yes, the Netgear router (CVG824G) has died a few times. Probably going to get upgraded to a NG CG3000, which uses (more or less) the same firewall system, I assume.
Yesterday I was on my cousin's computer, and we had to remove the ethernet cord to connect it to mine as my wireless adapter wasn't cooperating with his internet. This was all fine and dandy until we had to plug the ethernet cord back into his computer. It locks everything up. If you try to open a program, it won't open. If a program is already open when the cord is plugged in, it stops responding within 15 seconds.I called my brother, and he suggested I run a virus scan via Microsoft Security Essentials and MalwareBytes, which I did. MalwareBytes found 5 problems, MSE found 1 additional one. They have all been removed, however this problem still persists. If you try to start the computer with the ethernet cord plugged in, it will allow him to put in his password, it will say welcome for about 3-5 minutes, then the screen will go black. The mouse is visible, doing it's motion to indicate that it's loading something, but it never achieves anything.
I have on Desktop wired to the router which is my main pc. When I access internet the website load really slow, but when I connect the pc directly to Comcast modem, it's blitz fast. My internet speed is 15 Mbps. I have another desktop and laptop. None of them have the problem. What settings I have to change to get back to speed I used to have before.I messed up some settings on the Cisco Connect and accidentally reset the router. After re-installing the router the problem started.
I have an ASA 5505, firmware 7.2 (4). Configured ACLs, NAT, it's all working, but after a while it seems that running crashes, no longer makes the directions of NATs, the logs until they stop working. To resolve, I have to restart the ASA, and everything will work again.
I can't get utube videos when I'm going through the router. I can get them if I'm on the modem only. The same applies to long PDFs, software updates, long virus definition updates, videos in general and graphics heavy websites. It just slows down eventually to a standstill and the download fails. As stated when the router is not connected the above items pop up or download reasonably quickly through the modem. We have moderate speed DSL.
I saw one post recommending to changing the MTU from 1500 to 1400. That did absolutely nothing. My comcast internet is now slower than 14.4 dial up modem I had 16 years ago. The strange thing is I can sometimes download at over 2 mbps with torrents. It's mainly loading websites where the speed is so bad.
I seem to be struggling to connect more than 4 cameras to my (ISP-supplied) modem/router by Netgear CGD24N via WPS. I'm on my 5th camera now (already have 3x 930L and 1x 942L) but the newest 942L just won't connect to the network at the moment and there's definitely no faults here as I swapped cameras today at the local retailer (and got an A3 942L!).I've even tried connecting the camera to my wireless extender (Netgear WN3000RP) but no luck there.
So far it has only worked twice for short periods of time (enough for me to configure the cameras) but since then I can't actually get it working. I've got a couple of spare wireless routers lying around too and should be receiving a DIR-600 soon (from the Netgear promotion in Australia) which could be useful?
In the bottom floor there are three computers, an iMac computer that receives an average wireless Internet signal, desktop computer and a laptop.I want to take care of the desktop computer and buy a network card, the next card:TP-Link TL-WN951NNow it has three antennas, each of its reception range is 2 dbiI should buy three of the 10 dbi antennas and connect them to the network card?It will give a good solution strong wireless signal and good speed?
I run a certain program in my PC and I need to make its data available to an iPhone app.I would like to broadcast it over WIFI from the laptop. How can I set up a simple wifi network so the iPhone can connect as described?I was thinking of wireless router connected directly to the PC.
When I'm at my friends house I am unable to connect to his wifi network. He uses a Actiontec router M1424WR. His internet service is through Verion Fios. I have connected with other equip such as a tablet but I'm unable to connect with my laptop. I have a Toshiba Satelite C675.
Couple of weeks ago, I bought a net gear n600 dual band router. It's worked perfectly until last night. The network won't show up on any wireless devices in the house. I have restarted and reset it and my modem which is a westell. Sometimes the computer plugged in to the Internet with the Ethernet cord can connect and sometimes it cannot. What is the next step to figuring this out

recently I have set up a wifi network in my house, but when I tried to connect to it via my Windows XP (SP2) pc, it continually comes up with 'Limited or no connectivity'. I have tried multiple things, such as changing the network authentication method, to no avail.
