I have several wireless devices around the house that can connect fine, so I know that it is not the internet. I have tried a system restore, I have reset the router and rebooted the computer. The network diagnostics says there might be a problem with one or more network adapters on this computer....I have tried all of those solutions as well. When I look at the device manager I see a yellow exclamation point beside "isatap.domain.invalid". Does this mean that my network card is out??? Computer is now out of warranty

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have two computers side by side 192.168.1.7 and 192.168.1.8 both running xp pro sp3. On 8 I can RDC to the 7, but on 7 I cannot RDC to 8. I can see port 3389 listening on both using netstat -a. But 7 just can't RDC connect to 8. 7 cannot ping 8 either. I have the firewall turned off on 8, I had tried allowing RDC 3389 earlier with the firewall but that didn't work either.I don't have any extra firewalls running.Life will be like perfect, if I can just RDC to 8.Both are on the same wired belkin wireless router, 4' from itl.I tried taking the no ping no rdc computer to work and it didn't work there either.

In both cases i had to move to different housing and internet connection went without a hitch. However i'm now at my new place, and i cant seem to get my desktop computer to connect to the internet. After 8 different campus tech crews came through, they've determined that the connection issue is not caused on their end. The issue as far as i can tell is not caused by the cable either because i got internet access when i bridged the connection using my laptop's wireless connection. I have also used the cable to connect to the internet on my laptop. However, when i try to connect on my desktop it says that that ethernet cable is not connected. No link light comes on, and the connection is not recognized at all.

My Vista notebook, ipad3, ipod touch, android based phone and blackberry are all able to connect to the wifi, but my desktop is unable to connect to the wifi or ethernet. I have an HP dv6000 that has an atheros ar5007 b/g card built in, windows vista home premium, the system was recently restored to start fresh for a new user (my daughter).The ethernet port on the side works fine to get online, the wifi is on and does find connections out there including our att uverse, it will connect to our library's and our community rooms free wifi, and to a neighbors unsecured connection as well, but no matter what I do I can't get it to connect to OUR att uverse!I do know the passkey and its verified with all our other laptops, iphones, ps3 etc, i tried updating the wifi cards drivers from the hp site, i turned off the firewall, re-tried the passkey, its not erroring on that just won't connect.There is this diagnose thing that does nothing, I have also reset the att uverse and restarted the laptop all same results.Then I thought maybe windows updates were needed, so plugged in via ethernet cord did those restarted, still same thing (won't connect to our att) but strangely still does connect to other wifi so i am pretty sure its not a bad card inside the machine or anything.

But when i connect the internet cable to wifi router, then a LAN cable from router to desktop, my desktop is showing that the network cable was disconnected. I have used the different lan cable too. I have used the reset function too. But the problem was not solved. I am getting the wifi access. But the connection between the router and the desktop was not established.

It is almost as if my computer itself is blocking the adapter.I spoke to an On Networks rep for over two hours and he tried everything from reinstalling to rebooting and tried three different drivers. He was from a different country and when I told him what the troubleshooter said he would not deviate from the script they give them 2 hours and he was not even close. It saw the device but it wouldn't even blink.Acers website nor customer service will assist me because my warranty is expired. I am facing some issue in LAN network.I have connected one desktop( win 7) and another desktop (win xp) to the TP link router. Both the computers got ip address and able to share the internet. But both the computers are not in the same network. That is they cant PING each other. hence they are not visible to each other.
I ran network diagnostics and in the Win sock catalog, I found 5 errors: TCP/IP and UDP/IP could not perform simple loop back communication, UDP service provider, and TCP service provider could not perform simple loop back communication, and A connectivity problem exists with an installed LSP.The network adapter says it is connected.

I recently build a custom desktop and it wont connect to the internet. Ive had it directly wired to the modem and it recognizes the network but says there is no internet access. It also says the ipv4 and ipv6 is not connected. The problem isnt the modem because when i wire it to my laptop my laptop automatically connects to the internet from it.this is my motherboard and i downloaded all the drives that came with the CD. I will in the future connect my desktop with powerline networking but my router just broke so i wont be able to do that now.

It is now connected directly to the modem and when I click on the red X between the network and the internet icons in network and sharing center to diagnose it says "Local Area Connection" doesn't have a valid ip configuration. But when I remove the ethernet connection, shut down and then start my system and then connect the lan, all the 3 browsers work fine. I'm noticing this issue after I've uninstalled TuneUP Utilities trial pack and/or after I've installed LABTEC wireless Keyboard and mouse. Later on I've uninstalled the LABTEC software, but still its no use.
