I have one computer that is unable to connect to the internet. This is a wired desktop running Vista. I have several wireless devices around the house that can connect fine, so I know that it is not the internet. I have tried a system restore, I have reset the router and rebooted the computer. The network diagnostics says there might be a problem with one or more network adapters on this computer....I have tried all of those solutions as well. When I look at the device manager I see a yellow exclamation point beside "isatap.domain.invalid". Does this mean that my network card is out??? Computer is now out of warranty

I am now unable to access the internet with my Dell 560 running windows7. I have Verizon Fios for internet access. Windows network diagnostics reports that the connection between my access point, router or cable modem and the internet is broken and the network gateway is accessible but windows could not receive network traffic from the internet. Verizon's in-house -agent reports that there seems a connection problem between my router and the wall jack. I am able to access the internet with another computer and the the same router. I also have no problems with my iPad. I have interchanged cables and ports on the router.

I'm running Windows 7 on my desktop, and I've had problems since yesterday with my pc. My Vista notebook, ipad3, ipod touch, android based phone and blackberry are all able to connect to the wifi, but my desktop is unable to connect to the wifi or ethernet. Things were working fine until yesterday, when I had to power cycle, after which the desktop connection stopped, though other devices are working fine. My ipconfig details are as follows:

I have an Acer Aspire X3950 desktop, I am running Win7 and have tried two different wifi adapters and they install but they will not connect. It is almost as if my computer itself is blocking the adapter.I spoke to an On Networks rep for over two hours and he tried everything from reinstalling to rebooting and tried three different drivers. He was from a different country and when I told him what the troubleshooter said he would not deviate from the script they give them 2 hours and he was not even close. It saw the device but it wouldn't even blink.Acers website nor customer service will assist me because my warranty is expired. They want me to send the computer back but I have a feeling it is an easy fix I just don't know enough about computers to say oh just uncheckmark this box.I know in the past I used wifi but switched to an ethernet cable.

Both run Win 7; both use lan conections to the same router (Linksys 310N). Both get to the internet. And while the network map shows both of them, they are both unreachable. BUT NOT ALWAYS. Sometimes, maybe after several hours of uptime, they can access eachother. And the printers, which are wired into the desktop, then can be used by the notebook. BUT not always. Like now, all my printers are "offline" as far as the notebook is concerned. There are also wireless connections but currently I don't use them. Both machines are on the same-named connection. Homegroup doesn't work at all on either computer. I would really like to print from the notebook. All the printers are wired into the desktop. All are shared. Yesterday I could print from the notebook. On occasion, the homegroup shows both computers but hasn't for a while. In File Explorer, on the notebook, not even the notebook appears under the Network icon.

I've got an older HP desktop that's running on Windows XP SP3 in my living room and it's all of a sudden not connecting to the internet. I know the problem isn't with the router or internet connection themselves, as my laptop works perfectly fine. I've tried resetting the TCP/IP, resetting the modem, and resetting the WINSOCK entries. Also, here is the IP configuration screen:

Basically my desktop computer no longer connects to the internet, and I'll try to describe the problem to you all to the best of my ability.I ran ipconfig /all and it is attached. The problem first started a few weeks back and I haven't been able to get around to it due to school. When trying to connect to my router it will connect with limited connectivity (in other words, at the bottom right of the screen when you check the SSID you're connected to, it will show the signal strength, but it also has a yellow exclamation mark indicating it has no connectivity. When I ran the built-in troubleshooter on it, I received multiple things:
- sometimes: "windows could not automatically detect this network proxy settings"
- sometimes: "no errors detected"
Of course I would've done a system restore long ago, however initially I thought the problem was the adapter so I kept re-installing the drivers, I even went to buy other network adapters to make sure my adapter wasn't the one that was defective (I have an ASUS adapter, the other adapters I've tried were D-Link, and Netgear which is also the brand of my router which is very old). Because of all these installs/uninstalls, the old system restores I had were gone. I have Windows 7 64 bit, I'm using wireless connectivity and cannot try ethernet cable due to the immobility of my desktop and problems it would generate around the house. I've attempted to change the IP address of my network properties of ivp4 to defaults, change the DNS server, check my DHCP, check my services, check my registry, and many other things found on the internet (including resetting with netsh)

This morning, I tried using the computer and I wasn't able to connect to the Internet. The wireless icon on the bottom had either 1 bar, a caution sign with an exclamation point, or some sun icon. Either way, I could not get to my websites. I don't know why my computer cannot connect to the Internet because my iPad can connect perfectly well as I'm on it right now posting this thread. This is the first time it has happened. A few weeks ago my Internet started getting slower and slower. When it was usually an average of 3 bars, it went down to 2 and stayed that way. I was still able to get to my websites back then however the change in speed was noticeable. Now, it is neither 2 bars nor 3 but 0. y computer because my desktop is upstairs whereas my router is downstairs. With all the cables and such I would just end up messing it up or something. What could I do to fix this problem, it's been like this all day. Is it possible a virus is causing this problem?

Was able to connect to my network fine a couple of days ago. Now It doesn't want to work.
Everytime I try it seems like I connected (the little blue globe symbol displays) but when I try and go to a webpage, the connection times out or moves slow. When I run diagnose and repair it tells me that this computer has "limited or no connectivity" even though I'm able to connect to other networks. Selecting the "automatically get new IP settings" and "reset network adapter" options don't work. After selecting these earlier it was telling me "unable to connect to primary DNS server", then it was telling me "windows has confirmed this computer is currently experiencing a network connectivity problem". Now it's telling me there is no problem in spite of the slow connection.
I don't think my wireless adapter is the issue, I'm able to connect to other networks fine. I don't think the router/modem is the issue, there's another computer in the house (that I don't own) as well as my xbox hooked up wireless to it with no problem.

I have an old computer that is Windows 98SE. It uses a dial-up connection, but I don't have a phone line anymore so I've been trying to find another way to connect it to the internet. I've tried connecting it to the internet by connecting it to my Linksys wireless broadband router but that doesn't do anything. I also have a wireless notebook adapter that I've also tried to use but the driver needs to be reinstalled or updated and I don't know how to do that. I've lost the installation disk that came with it also. Do I need to buy anything to make it work?

My friends has a compaq computer running vista that can't connect to the internet. The computer can see networks, but when it tries to connect to them it says, "connecting to the network is taking longer than usual". We've tried hooking it up directly to the router with a LAN cable, but that doesn't work either. On his windows update it says there's an update ready for his wireless card driver, but you have to be able to connect to the internet to download it.

I have a new HP Pavilion g7 running Windows 7. I have a desktop running Windows XP wired to a TEW432BRP router. SEveral wireless devices run on the wireless (Ipod, playstation, Acer netbook) When I turn on the switch for wireless connectivitiy on the HP notebook (still not connected to the Internet) all my other computers and device disconnect from the Internet. The Internet cycles on and off until I switch the wireless switch off and everything reconnects. If I try to connect the notebook to the network it will eventually after 15-20 tries connect. The Internet connection at that point becomes stable and everything is connected. If the notebook sleeps, everything disconnects again.I have tried changing both the dynamic and static IP address. I have download updates for BIOS and the network adaptor. On the notebook, I have changed the Internet protocol to use just 4

I have two computers side by side 192.168.1.7 and 192.168.1.8 both running xp pro sp3. On 8 I can RDC to the 7, but on 7 I cannot RDC to 8. I can see port 3389 listening on both using netstat -a. But 7 just can't RDC connect to 8. 7 cannot ping 8 either. I have the firewall turned off on 8, I had tried allowing RDC 3389 earlier with the firewall but that didn't work either.I don't have any extra firewalls running.Life will be like perfect, if I can just RDC to 8.Both are on the same wired belkin wireless router, 4' from itl.I tried taking the no ping no rdc computer to work and it didn't work there either.
