All Files Downloads Are Corrupt - NSIS Error List?

Every file I download seems to be corrupt, although, files I download from another computer and put on a flash drive and install them from the flash drive work no problems at all. I'm putting this here because this might be relevant to the problem, my AMD display driver crashes every once and a while for no particular reason and WhoCrashed points to atikmdag.sys being the problem (I believe I may have fixed the BSOD through a guide) but nevertheless I would like to find out what is causing this. I've been testing things for three days now, different PSU, same, RAM tests came back okay, CHKDSK came back okay as well as wiping my hard drive and re installing windows, fresh download of all the drivers, latest display drivers, no viruses, and done everything on the "Why do I get the NSIS error list"

I recently installed Windows 8 on my dell xps 8500 - this was via the discount offer by dell when I bought it with windows 7.
At first I was able to download from the internet but now all I get is this message:
"file is corrupt or unreadable"
Of course this is impossible on every download.

From Chrome when I try to download from a file sharing site I get "Unknown network error". And from firefox I get "source file could not be read". From internet explorer it just stops. The downloads don't even get halfway thew before failing. I didn't have this problem with this computer previously before I moved. I'm using the same access point and same internet connection. One thing I notice is that windows network center shows at times that I'm not connected to the internet but I'm still able to browse and use the internet. The disconnected icon only lasts for a few seconds in network center.So I think its some kind of settings or access point issue. Windows 7 64bit Ultimate service pack 1 My ISP is Suddenlink(cable) located in Louisiana. I'm renting their wireless router/cable modem. The Access point I'm using for the PC is trendnet TEW-430APB.My internet security is Bitdefender total security 2013?

I'm trying to add an access-list rule to allow internal servers to connect an outside host on a asa 5540. The hostname translates to multiple ip's. Normally I just lookup the ip address or one of the ip's the hostname translates too and use that in the access-list as the host. For some reason the actual ip's, which are a few, are not always available so using a specific ip sometimes does not work, thus the reason I have to use the hostname instead of the ip. I have 2 hostnames. www.hostname.com and subdomain.hostname.com.
This is how I normally add these rules (the ip addresses are fictive): access-list internet_access extended permit tcp host 192.168.50.5 host 84.115.57.121 eq www log
When I try to add this using the hostname on our asa I get an error: access-list internet_access extended permit tcp host 192.168.50.5 host www.hostname.com ?ERROR: % Unrecognized command
I've tried it without the 'www', so hostname.com but same error.

I made a reservation then cancelled it online, but Sheraton Dallas Hotel charged my MC for one night for "No show ". Because they did not send me e-mail confirmation for both reservation and cancellation, I have no way to prove my cancellation. In e-mail they said:
"At the time you booked your reservation online you did not have your email address noted"
I have been traveling for the past 10 years and reserved Hotels online, and I never forgot to give my e-mail address not even once, so how could they said that I forgot this time ? I believe in keeping expenses low, if I don't give my e-mail address, I may end up paying expensive long distance call to communicate, as many hotels have no toll free numbers for dispute solving, so it's impossible that I forgot to gave my e-mail address! Unless someone manually erased my e-mail address for unknown reason. This I see as indication that a computer system error existed at that time What do you advice me to do to solve this problem ? Maybe computer system record ? In that case what particular system file I should ask them to mailed to me. Is there any way I can spot if there was any tampering? Like erased my e-mail entry, erased cancellation request?

I have a Dell Vostro 200 desktop, about 5 years old. I tried to update the latest Flipshare Video software but it corrupted partway through. system can't find the folders to uninstall so I can reinstall either the previous or the most up-to-date version. I tried the uninstall in safe mode as well with no luck.flip is in husband's name so I can't contact flip for support.

I occassionally see an issue on my network wherein a few of my devices (my phone, my wife's iPod, and my Ethernet-connected HTPC) will continually return a bad username/password combo when accessing services like Gmail (IMAP/Exchange), Pandora (HTTPS), or Boxee (HTTPS). The seem to have problems at the same time, which makes me think they are doing this as a result of something failing on my router (and yes, I'm certain the saved passwords are all correct since I won't change them and they'll start working again later).
Whenever the problem occurs, I'm making sure the date/time are right on my devices (i.e. certificate validity dates) and that they all sill have normal internet access. If I had to speculate, I'd guess this problem his happening when my router is under significant load and it's dropping some SSL packets.
I'm running the Linksys WRT310N v2 with firmware 2.0.0. I see there's an updated firmware available (2.0.1), but haven't yet applied it - and the release notes don't speak to my problem at all. I've rebooted the router after the last occurrence

We installed a new ASA 5510 (ver 8.3(1)) on the weekend and since then have had one isolated email issue.Here is the situation. We have a remote office that connects to us via IPsec site-to-site tunnel. They remote in to one of our servers and from that server email themselves PDF's. They have their own exchange server for general use, but the emails sent from our server go through our exchange server of course. The received email shows the user as the sender AND receiver. This previously worked fine.Since installing the ASA though, users get the following error when they try to open the document: "There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired."They tried this with a text file and the same thing occured. I have disabled SMTP inspection and have omitted the remote office from the CSC SSM scanning. This has not worked. The remote office also has an ASA 5510 (ver 8.2) but no changes were made this weekend. No updates were applied to Exchange this weekend.Previously my office was using a Cisco 1800, Cisco VPN Concentrator 3000 and Untangle gateway box. I replaced all 3 with the ASA. My supervisor is currently at this remote location and he can still email himself attachments from that particular server with no problem through the tunnel.

Latest firmware with CCC corrupted after power outage. I reseet the e4500 several times and tried to reload the firmware and still no good. Only way I got it back up is to install the older non-CCC version 2.37. Strange all was fine until the power outage. Not sure if I should even bother to upgrade to 2.38 again.

I often need to add files to a public folder on the server so it can be dowloaded by my clients when they need them. I can access my personal laptop from the server, but I cannot access the server's files from my laptop. This is recent and used to work fine. Very recently whenever I download a file which is in a package e.g. a rar file or an iso it always seems to be corrupt. For example I downloaded the windows 8 consumer preview multiple times and each time was corrupt. Now I know it isn't anything to do with my computer as I have this problem on all devices connected to my internet including my ps3, every game I download is corrupt and I cannot install it. We are having bandwidth issue every now then in our corporate network and apparently it is due to some people are downloading music, videos etc.is there any way only download can be blocked?don't have any firewall in place to control that though. We have only our TPLink router and we usually block some domains using it.

I used to get speeds that exceeded 2 mb/s and now when i download steam games it fluctuates from 0 kb/s to 2.1 mb/s in an oscillating pattern. What is wrong with my internet? games that should take less than an hour to install now take 3.

i recently done a clean install of windows xp on this laptop after having vista on there for a couple of years and ever since doing this the download speeds have seemed so much slower im not sure weather its got to do with the OS or weather its just the internet has been slow since ive installed it. I recently switched providers and now i'm down to a 1.5 MBPS download speed (advertised at 3 MBPS but our area is only serviced for half that) so I'm trying to find something that will smooth out the capabilities of my PC's with streaming videos and such for my nephew on sites like disney.com and other sites. I can post specs later if you guys need em but one PC which I know its issue, it is around 10 years old so I'm not expecting great performance. The knew one though is only a year old with 1GB DDR2 Ram and windows XP Home. The older one has 512MB Ram....I think its SD with windows XP pro. Again I can post full stats later if needed but not really trying to trouble shoot. More looking to boost. We run 2 computers and a Wii off our wireless modem. I'm curious if somehow the computers could be configured to operate on seperate...ports I guess to minimize the lag on the modem. We are noticing that if one computer is downloading something it cause the second computer to lag or makes streaming anything all but impossible.

I ran a speed test with my new DIR-655 connected to my PS3 and my download is 768kbps and my upload is 1.5mbps. However, my internet connection is 50mbps and 2mbps upload on my computer connected via LAN. While I understand SOME decrease, that's slower than the previous Wireless G router that I had.
I've reset the router twice and it's currently set to the factory defaults. I've even tried setting a static ip address for the PS3 and put it into DMZ mode. However, I'm still getting the slow speeds.
Also, my iPhone 4 is getting about 14mbps download and 2mbps upload. Is that expected?

I have two computers, both of them running Windows 7. One of them has been experiencing an odd problem for about six months now, and now that school is out I have time to mess with it. When I try to do certain things, the download speed periodically drops to zero. Specifically, I've noticed it when using Firefox and Steam, but also for IE and a few other browsers I installed for the sake of testing. I know I'm not *losing* connectivity, because everything that isn't specifically downloading a file works fine. Skype calls work fine, Utorrent streams at a steady rate, but for some reason Steam and Firefox have speed graphs that look like the heart rate monitor of someone with a very weak pulse. It starts off strong, a nice solid 1 MB per second, and then after 10-30 seconds it'll slowly decline to 0, and sit there for anywhere from 10 seconds to half an hour before picking up to full speed again. I've tried reinstalling drivers, I've tried buying a new network card, I've tried running antivirus scans, and I've tried uninstalling my antiviruses. The only thing that works for sure is putting it into safe mode. In safe mode, the downloads proceed smoothly. I tried making a list of everything that ran in safe mode, and then rebooted into normal mode and closed each nonessential process and service, but that didn't work either.

I have an odd problem where http downloads will stop after a few seconds. I can stream video, do anything else with the internet perfectly. It's just when downloading files from websites will this happen.I use a wired connection. I have tried Firefox, Chrome, and IE10, and this problem happens in all of them. I use a WRT54GS router. I have tried downloading files in Ubuntu 12.10, Windows 7 using wireless, and WinXP, and they all can download files perfectly. Only Windows 8 seems to have this problem. Another thing is that my Windows 8 is a fresh install.I have also tried disabling Windows Firewall to no avail.
