Aug 14, 2011
I have a Belkin 802.11g wireless card on my laptop, I can see the router but when I try and join the router I have message about no I.P adress. Is there a way to get round this?
I have just changed isp's from talktalk to bt and becose I use an IP security camera, I want to use my belkin modem router. Bt will not even try to set the router up to enable bt bb "even though when going to them they said they would". How to set the belkin N150 for bt broadband.
I connected a Belkin Surf N300 Wireless N Modem-Router have been trying 2 weeks to get it to work wirelessly, The icon for Belkin bottom right side of screen says "Connected to the belkin router via ethernet cable, and if I click the icon for computer connection info it says "Unidentified network (Belkin) Acess: Local Only.) I can use the internet while I have the ethernet cable attached to computer and using wired broadband, but once I take out cable I lose all connection. Have been in touch with Belkin by phone for 4 hours, they replaced unit but still can't get the wireless internet, the wireless is turned on(WAN & Bluetooth are turned on)

I have a WRT54GS which works fine with Linux both from both wired and wireless computers using Linux. But I reinstalled Win XP and now I can't reestablish a connection following the EasyLink advisor. I did have a connection under Win XP before.
The last instruction on the Easylink advisor tells me to look for something marked "local" I don't find that word on the screen.
I am trying to connect to the internet using the PPPoE feature of the router but the router configuration is not successful. Says something like "WAN connection not successful". I have supplied the correct username and password. The connection is ok in my laptop if i directly connect my laptop to the Ethernet port of the modem without the router. Is this a sharing problem from the ISP?
I've got a new Belkin 150 wireless router, and have installed it successfully, with no issues with my Windows 7 laptop. My wife's Windows XP laptop, however, won't connect to the internet via this new router. I've restarted the computer and unplugged/restarted the router and modem in sequence with no success. I have no clue what is wrong - the XP laptop will connect but shows either "limited connectivity" or "local access only."
I'm having trouble connecting to my Belkin router wirelessly (Wired works fine). I try to get to the IP address (192.168.0.2 and every other version of that) but it does not connect. On the router only Security, Wired, and Router are lit up; Wireless, Modem, and Internet are dark. I have reached the end of my limited computer capabilities trying to fix this problem myself.
I have a Belkin router connected to my desktop. My tablet computer can connect, but my two new Samsung laptops cannot connect! They both see the network with a strong signal but it says it can't configure the router settings... It said to reset the router, which I've done several times, but they still won't connect. The playstation can also connect so I know it can't be the router or the playstation and tablet computer couldn't connect right?
My belkin 54G was working few years now. Just hours ago, I try to connect my iphone 3GS with belkin wifi. I go to the 192.168.2.1 (on my laptop - wifi), MAC address filtering and enable it. After insert my iphone 3gs ip address i press OK.
Here's the nightmare begin, after minutes. My internet connection is not working both on my laptop (wifi working but not internet) and the PC facing problem on internet connection. i try login again 192.168.2.1, hoping can restore it but it fail to load the page.
how to restore it?
Below is the screenshot of what I did.
1. my ipconfig show new IP address, 169.254.242.229. i try using this address to access but fail to load.
2. ping 192.168.2.1 but unreachable.
3. detail of my network connection details.
4. set my TCP/IP properties
5. ipconfig manage to change it and ping working now.
6. to my disappointment, 192.168.2.1 still not working. can't enter it's web interface.
We recently switched from ATT to Comcast in our house so we needed a new router since 2wire won't work with the Comcast modem. So we installed the router - no problems. Its been working great for about 3 weeks now, but yesterday when I tried to get on, it said the router had "no internet access" and I haven't been able to get it to work since.I have restarted the router, the modem, and my computer several times and reset the router to factory settings to no avail. I thought it might be a problem with comcast (maybe the storms knocked something out) but the modem is working fine; TV and phones still work and all of the lights on the modem box (power, DS, US, Online, ect.) are still on. I called comcast and they said they have registered no issues in the area.Right now I'm connected to the internet through the modem. I've tried everything I can think of[CODE]
my Belkin routers wireless wont work. I tried unplugging it, resetting it, but nothing working. Ethernet is working fine, but I need wireless back ASAP.
I have unplugged everything and restarted everything in the correct order. I have connectivity to the modem if I plug ethernet cable into cable modem, but cannot get any connectivity if I plug into the wireless router and then into the cable modem. I am using a desktop computer and only use the wireless modem for my phones wi-fi.
I got a new belkin router because I switched from Verizon to Comcast. I had to get a new router and got belkin. Now I can connect every device to it from wireless, ranging from my laptop to my phone. But jadoo box won't connect. Jadoo Box is internet TV box like Roku and apple TV but for international channels. I have tried switching password type from WPS to wep and basic stuff but nothing is working.
I've recently bought a WRT54GL router, and I`m having some problems with it. The original firmware the router came with had a bug, and couldn`t even connect to a PPPOE network. I downloaded the latest firmware version for this model (4.30.14 build 5, Oct. 26, 2009). Now it can connect to PPPOE but the broadband speed is limited to ~ 30Mbits/s. My ISP normally provides a download speed up to 80-90MBits/s, and if I bypass the router, and connect the internet cable directly to my PC, it works.
The QoS is disabled, so this can`t be the problem, but I searched the internet, and I found that it can be because the router`s CPU is too slow and can`t handle connections up to 80-90Mbit/s download speed, but this sounds a little bit weird to me.Did any of you gus run into this problem? Is it a hardware problem, or a software one? Maybe there`s something I need to set up in the admin interface?
For the past week or so I've been having trouble with my Wi-Fi connection. I have a desktop PC, a kindle and a PS3 that all connect to it.
If I turn on my Kindle after it's been off for a while it'll try to connect to the Wi-Fi but will keep alternating between 'Authenticating'/'Connecting' and never gets to the 'Obtaining IP Address' part so it shows the signal strength bars at the top but they're totally empty. If I go and unplug the modem and the router, let them sit for a minute, plug them back in the large light on the router will flash orange (it's usually green) so I press and hold the WPS button which begins to flash and then both lights turn green and the Kindle quickly connects itself to the Wi-Fi. If I don't let it go into sleep mode or turn it off it will stay connected but if it turns off I have to do the same modem/router reset. When I'm at school or work I have zero issues connecting their wireless networks.
With the PS3, if it's turned on while I reset the modem/router it will connect to the network but if it's turned off during the reset it will not connect when I turn it on later. Also, either way, it no longer connects to my media server (sharing files between the PC and the PS3) regardless of connecting or not.
Last week, a big storm rolled through my town while I was out of the area on business. I had a working LAN/WLAN for my home & home office, and the modem I was using got fried by the storm. Strangely enough nothing else was affected..Anyway, I went out and bought an identical modem, and had it set up with Comcast. If I connect directly to the modem, everything works perfectly. But when I try to attach my router to the new modem, I have no connectivity over wifi OR hardwired to the router. According to the status light on the router, it can't find a connected modem.I reset the router back to factory settings, installed the newest firmware, and moved my DHCP pool out of the default range. I then power cycled the whole setup - twice - with no success.
I've got a Belkin G wireless router.I've got my Vaio with windows 7 , my other emachines with vista and another acer laptop in the house also on vista/All laptops can connect to the router and internet fine but when I password protect the WI-FI the ACER aspire won't connect to the router, while the other 2 and also a ps3 all connect with the password no problems.
I have an iPad2 and a Belkin F6d4230-4 wireless router. I no longer have a computer. If I reset the router can I setup the network without having to hard-wire the router to a computer first?
I have and and android tablet I just bought and I can't connect to the internet with my Belkin N300 Router all my computers and smartphone work very good to this router and the phone works with wifi here also. I can't get this tablet to connect to the server I have put in all the ssid and the name of the server. When I try to connect it says connecting, then autherizing and then it does a loop and does not ever change, keeps on doing it. In the little shell that is to change color when connected there is a very small lock showing and I am not sure just what todo about this.
I have just purchased and successfully installed a wireless Belking router and although my pc connects perfectly my daughter cannot connect to the same router even with the correct security codes, what are we doing wrong
I can't get my Kindle Touch to connect to my Belkin router, I haven't had any problems until the last couple of days. I can connect my Kindle to the router at my work.
My husband and I just got a Verizon MIFI Jetpack. My computer has an internal wireless connection so we had no problem getting it hooked to mine, however, my husband is trying to hook on with a Belkin router. The router appears to be reading that the Verizon service is there but when he goes to connect to the internet it says it won't connect. We've tried resetting the router and restarting his computer. It did not fix the problem.
I recently bought a router so I could connect my Toshiba laptop to the internet. After I connected the ethernet cable to the router and plugged everything in, I installed the program from the CD that it came with. After the whole process, it says "You are now connected to the internet!". Yeah well when I try to get on the internet, it suddenly takes the connection off. On my wifi status, it says it's not connected anymore. When I try to connect again, it says I'm connected, although if I get on internet explorer, it takes off the connection again. Though when it is connected, it says no internet connection available although I am connected to the router. So basically, I'm connected to the router, but not the router to the internet.
I recently bough a belkin router (Share N300) but it just wont connect to the internet. My setup is as follows:ADSL -> Modem -> Router -> PCThe internet works fine when I connect it directly to my PC (via the modem), and other PCs too.So no issue of MAC address lockdown.I've tried connecting through static mode with the data from ipconfig /all, but it still doesn't work.I've even installed DD WRT and Tomato to no avail.
I have a Dell Inspiron, Windows 7 laptop, that's about all I know about it. A couple months ago I got a Belkin Surf N300 router, when I first got it I had it set up through Hughes Net and everything worked fine, I had good connecting everywhere I went with my laptop. Now, I no longer have the Hughes Net and I hooked up through a Broadband thing, our desktop computer is connect to it and works perfectly fine, when I go to try and connect to it on my laptop it WILL NOT work, it just says its unable to connect to it. I have tried EVERYTHING I can think of and some stuff I didn't even know you could change, all I want is to use my laptop
