Only my computer can't log into the Belkin 8236 router, when I click submit it takes forever and then web page eventually changes to an error message. I've already Reset the router, changed my IP address, turned off Malwarebytes "Website blocking" turned off Ad-block but still no luck.
I have a laptop and a PC, both connected to the same router, connected to a Time Warner Road Runner cable modem. The laptop works fine whether it is in wireless or wired mode. The PC does not have wireless. When the PC is connected to the router, it's download speed is OK but I have zero upload speed - which of course kills my ability to do almost any online or even LAN task, including browsing and file transferring over LAN.
When I plug directly into the modem, bypassing the Belkin, the PC connection works just fine. It only encounters errors when going through the router, but every other computer in the household works fine through the router (3 laptops, work great either wired or wireless using same cables and ports as the PC). The PC worked fine in my old apartment with a different router, but as soon as I got to this one, nothing. Both comp's have WinXP Home Edition. The PC has a Realtek onboard NIC, called PCIe GBE Family Controller NIC in Device Manager. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, and using multiple driver versions, to no avail. The Ethernet cable is known working.

Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, and using multiple driver versions, to no avail. The Ethernet cable is known working. The router is a Belkin F5D9230-4 Wireless G Plus MIMO Router with fully updated firmware. All my firewalls are turned off, including that of the router.Everything is up to date, I have done full virus and malware scans, power cycled everything, and I just cannot solve this problem.
I have a Belkin 150 router connected to my modem. I use the wifi in my room. But recently I messed up in the router's page which i dont remember. Now I can't connect my computer to my own network. I am using my friend's network right now. The conenction is shown as "Limited." All the solutions say to type one IP adress or the other to the browser but when connection to my router is not there.
How can I remove the PIN code that's been configured in my computer. My computer shares in a home network that bumps everyone out whenever I go into the internet including the owner of the BELKIN network router to whom we are connected to the internet. I mistakenly connected into the network via the router's PIN Code resulting in my computer being configured and the rest of computers in the network being bumped out. Instead of just typing the passphrase/password I typed in the text box the PIN code for the Belkin router when it asked for the PIN code instead of just connecting into the internet without necessarily configuring my computer for the BELKIN router? how to remove the PIN code in my computer so that I do not bump everyone in the network.
My router works on one of my wireless computers and my iPad, but not on my second computer. It connects, but only to my local network, not to the internet. Under Network and sharing center it says "unidentified network"
Two desktop computers are hard-wired to Belkin F5D8235-4 v1000(Firmware Version 1.01.19. When second computer is initialized, first computer slows to a crawl online. Comcast technician says modem is fine, but router appears to be the problem. Cannot find the extension .bin to download upgraded firmware and I don't know whether or not that will work. Is it time to purchase a new Belkin?
We added a Belkin N750DB wireless to our building yesterday. Everyone is working fine except one computer that is an apple. Her wi-fi keeps going on and off. Is there a setting we need to change so this stops happening and she has constant internet?
Just installed N600 Play router. All computers and phone connect fine, but computers won't auto connect after reboot or sleep. With old router this worked fine.
I need configuring my N900 router to be able to use Microsoft's Remote Desktop Connection to get into my computer from a client's location. I also want to be able to host websites I'm developing so my clients can see the changes before publishing to their website. I have not been able to find anywhere what settings to set to what in order for these two things to be available to me.
I am with Virgin media (UK) and have the 20mbps fiber optic connection. My area has recently been having problems with the broadband and Virgin has recently fixed these problems. However I used to get around 19mbps now that the problem is fixed my computer which is wired to the router gets about 0.4mbps downstream... However the 5 wireless computers all get 16mbps which is pretty good for them. Windows tells me that its a firewall issue and I currently can't use two programs, spotify and steam. They both have firewall issues, even if I turn off my firewall which is the windows one. I also have avast, and when I turn that off, still no good. I used OpenDNS, stopped using that flushed my DNS, that didnt work. I tried to optimize my computer settings, by changing various values in Regedit. All of this has done nothing. I should add that I have recently re-installed Windows 7 so on this fresh install it has never had decent internet speed. Which I thought was weird.. I have basically had these problems since the fresh install. All of my drivers are up to date.
I am trying to set up a new Belkin modem/router.I have Internet on all three computers over both ethernet and wireless, but no local network. I think the problem may be IP addresses, but I cannot solve it.The LAN settings in the router now are:
DHCP (.) On
IP Pooling Start 192.168.2.2 IP Pooling End 192.168.2.100
Lease time: forever
LAN/DHCP Client List is empty. With the previous modem the IP addresses of the machines were from 192.168.1.2 upwards, but the new modem considers this range invalid.(This isn't specifically an XP problem as one of the machines is Window-7).
I am attempting to upload some files to my school server will Filezilla. It worked the very first time I attempted to do this. A box popped up and read something like, " The key is unknown, this may not be the computer you think it is", there was a check box asking to approve this server and save the key. I ticked this box and everything was fine, it was connected. I disconnected from the server and went back an hour later to upload something and got this message when attempting to connect, "server has unexpectedly closed network connection", then, "unable to connect". I get it every single time I try to do this from home. However, I have been able to connect everywhere else but my house. I can connect with the same computer from my friends wireless at his house, and from the wireless at work, all from the same computer that will not connect at home. I have also tried different operating system, Ubuntu, and nothing same error message. I have reinstalled the program, and tried other programs,,nothing. I have also deleted that key in the registry, from the check box earlier. At home it does not have that pop up saying " the key is unknown" anymore, even after deleting the key. Yet it does from all the other locations. I do not check it from anywhere else from fear that this will happen everywhere and then I can use it at all. The only difference I can see in these situations is my router, as my friend uses the same ISP, and the same computer was used from each location.
I'm having trouble accessing the setup page for my Belkin F5D8231-4 ver.2001 router.I tried all of the following ip addresses after hard resetting the router to factory settings: 192.168.0.1, 192.168.0.2, 192.168.1.1, 192.168.1.2, 192.168.2.1, 192.168.2.2,Neither plugged directly into the router with cat5 nor wireless connection made a difference.I tried using a different computer and different browser.
I've got a new Belkin 150 wireless router, and have installed it successfully, with no issues with my Windows 7 laptop. My wife's Windows XP laptop, however, won't connect to the internet via this new router. I've restarted the computer and unplugged/restarted the router and modem in sequence with no success. I have no clue what is wrong - the XP laptop will connect but shows either "limited connectivity" or "local access only."
I have a netgear router, the pc I want to print from is connected via ethernet strait to router with Vista Ultimate OS. The computer the printer is hooked up to is connected via usb wireless adapter with Windows XP OS. Can I print from my computer hooked up via Ethernet from the computer that is hooked up wireless.
I recently purchased a new Belkin N wireless router, model number (F5D8236-4 V3), i am however trying to connect this router to my old Belkin G wireless Modem Router (F5D7632-4 Ver7000uk).Now i can't seem to get the N router to connect to the internet-after much faffing about i can get all the LED lights to turn blue-bar the wireless which blinks amber (i did this by turning the DHCP server off, and by using the same WEP code). I get limited connectivity wirelessly and wired, which basically might aswell just say no connection.
Taking the N router out of the equation, the g router can connect to the internet wired (it no longer seems to work wirelessly, and had a horrible range on it anyway). I use a PPPoE connection-all my ISP details are correct.how i can get the N Router to work wirelessly and wired.
I lost the WEP key for my Belkin N+ wireless router.I bought a new wireless printer and cannot connect it through the router without the WEP key.How can I get the WEP key #.
I am an unlucky person who still has a belkin router. Not only do i have a belkin router, my PC is also connected via 2 switch boxes all ethernet cabled together in and around the house.
I am unable to forward and ports succesfully because after i have saved the settings i check it with a port checking site and it says they're all closed.
I have also been getting disconnected from my router when its under stress (Most recently playing League of Legends) but my Dad's Pc (Which is only connected to the Belkin) still stays connected and hasn't experienced any disconnections.
My router model is F5D7634-4 v2, DHCP is enabled but only my Dad's PC appears, UPnP is enabled but doesn't seem to work and my fireware is up to date.
I used to have a different router before this one which never had these disconnecting problems.
I cannot seem to navigate to the solution on my own so here I am. My laptop cannot connect to the internet through the Belkin N Router, though does recognize the router. We have another laptop that does and works fine, but my laptop fails.
Here is the ipconfig info:

I'm on talktalk and have been for a few years. They supplied me with a speedtouch 330 modem which has worked brilliantly, but now i am wanting to set up a router so i can connect to xbox live. I have a Belkin ADSl modem with wireless G router which i have tried to set up a number of times without success. I am trying to set the router up so that it has an ethernet connection to the computer and another ethernet connection to the xbox but i can't set the router up with the internet at all. To start with i am trying to set just the pc up. On the router, the power light is on, the ethernet port light is on, as is the wireless and the phone line one, but the internet light isn't on at all.
I'm having trouble connecting to my Belkin router wirelessly (Wired works fine). I try to get to the IP address (192.168.0.2 and every other version of that) but it does not connect. On the router only Security, Wired, and Router are lit up; Wireless, Modem, and Internet are dark. I have reached the end of my limited computer capabilities trying to fix this problem myself.
I have a Belkin router connected to my desktop. My tablet computer can connect, but my two new Samsung laptops cannot connect! They both see the network with a strong signal but it says it can't configure the router settings... It said to reset the router, which I've done several times, but they still won't connect. The playstation can also connect so I know it can't be the router or the playstation and tablet computer couldn't connect right?
I had to unplug my belkin router and get a new modem from my cable company and lost the piece of paper that comes with the router when you buy it saying your name and ssid code. what can i do to get a new one?
My belkin 54G was working few years now. Just hours ago, I try to connect my iphone 3GS with belkin wifi. I go to the 192.168.2.1 (on my laptop - wifi), MAC address filtering and enable it. After insert my iphone 3gs ip address i press OK.
Here's the nightmare begin, after minutes. My internet connection is not working both on my laptop (wifi working but not internet) and the PC facing problem on internet connection. i try login again 192.168.2.1, hoping can restore it but it fail to load the page.
how to restore it?
Below is the screenshot of what I did.
1. my ipconfig show new IP address, 169.254.242.229. i try using this address to access but fail to load.
2. ping 192.168.2.1 but unreachable.
3. detail of my network connection details.
4. set my TCP/IP properties
5. ipconfig manage to change it and ping working now.
6. to my disappointment, 192.168.2.1 still not working. can't enter it's web interface.
I just say that I'm not brilliant with pcs but I'm able to follow instructions if they are in the consistency of baby food! XD..Well basically I can't access my wireless modem router's settings (2 in 1 device I believe). I managed it once but haven't been able to do it again. I've tried the following:
-Reset router many times. -Turn it on and off many times. -reset router while ethernet cable is connected and without. -ipconfig/release and renew
notthing works!!! I noticed the ip address changed from the default one of 192.168.2.1 to a completely different one...95.175.138.When I turned on my laptop today after being off overnight (and the router) somehow I did managed to get on the settings page again using 192.168.2.1 but didn't last for long. While I did this there was a warning icon next to the wifi icon, but then when the warning sign went off that's when the router's setting page stoped working again.I need to get to the router setting because currently is set to go off when i turn off my laptop which is a bit pointless and change a password.
We recently switched from ATT to Comcast in our house so we needed a new router since 2wire won't work with the Comcast modem. So we installed the router - no problems. Its been working great for about 3 weeks now, but yesterday when I tried to get on, it said the router had "no internet access" and I haven't been able to get it to work since.I have restarted the router, the modem, and my computer several times and reset the router to factory settings to no avail. I thought it might be a problem with comcast (maybe the storms knocked something out) but the modem is working fine; TV and phones still work and all of the lights on the modem box (power, DS, US, Online, ect.) are still on. I called comcast and they said they have registered no issues in the area.Right now I'm connected to the internet through the modem. I've tried everything I can think of[CODE]
I recently had to reset my router, back to factory default. The problem is after setting it up again and everything it's still somehow broadcasting the old network name. Alongside the new one.
