Belkin Routers :: N750 DB - Internet Connection Speed?
May 31, 2013
I have a belkin N750 DB router. I recently upgraded by internet service from 15Mbp to 30Mbp. If I connect my computer directly to the cable modem, I get 30Mbp throughput. However, if I connect the modem to the router my speed drops to 15Mbp. How do I get the router to support 30Mbp?
Belkin N750 Router - wired connection can not access Internet. I've tried direct to modem and have no problem, have tried old router, no problem, but if I shut down desktop completely (Win7) and restart, I get no connection. Uninstalling the NIC (Intel 82579V Giga) and restarting, then I get connection again. However, if I start in safe mode with networking, I have no problems at all. I've disabled my firewall to no avail.
My N750 F1103 (f/w 1.10.16) LAN speed is limited to 5Mb why? I upgraded my Internet bandwidth to 20Mb+ tested and found it was only 5Mb, the cable company checked a few things and then I did some diagnostics and Isolated to the N750. I have two wired PC and same results with both PC's. This is supposed to have Giga bit LAN not Giggle bit LAN! I'm paying for something I cannot used to its full potential.
How can I update my router if my Internet won't work with the router connected? Right now my Ethernet line is going directly from my PC to my modem. Belkin N750.
N750 DB USB printer not connecting. I'm currently running a Canon MP480 multi-purpose printer connected through USB to the N750 DB router. I have both the printer driver and Belkin USB Print and Storage Manager software installed on a desktop PC that connects wirelessly to the router. The Belkin print manager software "sees" the printer, but when I try to connect it says please install printer drivers. I've installed and re-installed these drivers a few times, with no effects.
I have a N750 and I want to change the IP address through the browser. It is the standard 192.168.2.1 config. I change the IP to 192.168.15.x while hard wired and hit apply. The router reboots but still holds the same IP.
I cannot airprint. Contacted email support. Followed instructions to reset router. I did and I was able to print from my iPhone. ONCE. Then I installed my SSID and passwords and WIFI setup again and now I can't print. I have a brand-new airprint equipped HP 7520, an iPhone and 2 iPads.that I want to print from....the router is a N750 AV bought in July.
My N750, F9K1103 v1, with the latest firmware, 1.10.16n (2012/12/12 3:46:9), does not recognize the external hard drive when I plug it in. My USB printer works great, but not the hard drive.
Belkin N750 Part # F9K1103 v1000 disconnects me randomly. It's get really annoying do to I keep having to re-log into a session after disconnecting etc.
My ISP is Comcast and I own a Belkin N750 DBWireless N+ Router, I have a Synology NAS drive wired to the router. I am trying to set up the network configuration on the NAS drive so I can have internet access to the drive. My question is do I manually define the IP address, subnet mask, DNS, and gateway or do I select DHCP. If so what addresses should I use the address of the NAS drive form the router or the router address. I think I need to use the manual fields and use a static IP but do I get that IP address from the router or from my ISP (comcast)?
I have a n750 and I did the firmware update on the router and I have it check for firmware updates when I log in and i keep getting this message: "Cannot connect to the firmware information server, please double check the WAN connection." I have access to the internet.
I cannot install the printer drivers manually (HP Deskjet 970 CSE) onto my Belkin N750 DB router. The USB Print and Storage Manager does not appear on my computer
How do I utilize the dual band feature on my belkin N750 DB? Do I have to set up two separate networks? Even then how when my devices PC, iPod, gaming devices are only recognizing the 2.4GHz band network?
I purchased a new BelkinN750 DB router on 2/12/2013. It seems to think the date is Jan. 1 1970. How can i fix this problem or should I just return it and buy another brand?
I just bought a N750 DB router. On boot up, the 5Ghz side will show up for about 20-30 seconds and then it just "disappears". I was even able to connect to it @ 300mb with my laptop. The 2.4Ghz shows up just fine.
I have a Western Digital Mybooklive 3Tb hard drive connected to my N750 wireless router. It works fine, except that the new Media Server and the USB print and storage center says there are no USB devices plugged into it! Why is this?
I have an N750 DB router and it has been rebooting every few hours for no reason. This has just started happening about 4 days ago. I don't know why but when I check the system logs its filled with the following. [code]
Recently switched DSL providers and now have Cisco modem DPC3008. Able to connect to internet directly thru modem. Able to connect wired or wireless to router. Unable to get router to connect to internet via modem. Tried restart, reset, and new set-up. Called ISP (Charter) - no way, said contact Belkin.
I have a Belkin N750 router which I purchased because the box said it had filtering options. I didn't realize that the filtering was only sites that Norton kept track of. There are certain adware sites I know about that I would like to filter. Possible with this router?
I have recently upgraded my router to a Belkin N750 DB and am having issues getting remote desktop connection working. Previously I had a Netgear router and it was working no problems at all.I have port forwarded (virtual server on Belkin) port 3389 TCP to the servers IP address.I can get Remote desktop connection to work when I am within my LAN by just typing the computers name. However when I try to connect via the IP address, as I would if I were away from home, then I get the message that says "remote desktop cannot connect for one of these reasons
1) remote access not enabled (it is because it worked before) 2) remote computer is turned off (no it isn't) 3) remote computer is no available" (yes it is cause can connect from LAN)
Turned off static IP for my server and let the router assign IP, and changed the IP address in the port forward, same, no connection.Double, triple checked my IP address, as this obviously changed when I plugged in the new router.Have updated to latest firmware for router and NIC.
I have an issue with my N750 Wireless router, F9K1103. I have a Windows Home Server, HP Media Smart Server – EX470, that at times causes the router to lose connection, with the front panel light going from Blue (connected) to Orange (disconnected). When I pull the net cable from the server, after about 30 seconds the blue light comes back on.
I recently got a Belkin N150 Enhanced Router Model F6D4230-4 V1. I upgraded it to the recent firmware.
I use it NOT to access internet, but only to hook up my desktop computer with my laptop and my tablet PC. I use Win7 Ultimate on both computers. I configured a Win7 home network and I managed to access shared files between the 3 devices.
However, the speed is very very low, not going over 1.5 MB per second , sometimes even less, although the signal strength is the maximum (54).
The distance between the laptop and the desktop is only 4-5 meters, in the same room. My laptop is HP Compaq 6710b which has what seems to be a "Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection" .
Transfer speed is the same whether transferring from or to the laptop. I configured the laptop according to the instructions in the manual.
I am having trouble keeping a stable internet connection when connecting through the router. I am on my third new router in one week thinking it was a router issue but I don't think so anymore. I am on cable internet using a motorola surfboard modem. The router I bought is a Belkin N750. I also tried a Cisco E1200 and EA2700 with no luck. I have been on the phone with support for probably ten hours total and tried all of their settings to no avail.
I'm having this weird issue with my internet in which my desktop is having inconsistent internet connection, but when I check on my laptop (same room) it shows no problem.I have ATT Uverse, and my desktop's adapter is Belkin N750 DB Wireless-N Dual-Band USB Adapter, while my laptop has some adapter (I don't know the brand, but I know it's 802.11g.Also, my Desktop has much better specs than my laptop. My desktop has i7 intel processor, 4GB RAM (x4 total of 16) and 60 GB SSD boot drive and 2 TB hard drive for all the other softwares. My laptop on the other hand is a Sony Vaio with 8GB RAM and 500 GB hard drive. When going through these inconsistent internet connection phase, my desktop can drop to not even a megabyte per second, while my laptop may be at 8~10 MB download speed, but a tthe same time the ping on my desktop is around 5, but my laptop shows around 17.
